Rosine's Restaurant turns traditional American comfort food into an art form. This local family-owned and operated casual dining restaurant has been open for 43+ years. The Culcasi family, owners of Rosine's, have received a bit of national fame as it has appeared on Guy Fieri's show "Diners, Drive-ins and Dives". Rosine's offers indoor and outdoor (pet friendly) dining serving breakfast, lunch, dinner and weekend brunch, beer wine and signature craft cocktails. Breakfast offers include Eggs Benedicts, Omelets and a variety of other breakfast specialities. As for lunch and dinner, there is a mix of American and Italian dishes. Some of the most popular dishes on the menu include their Beef Minestrone soup, Chicken Parmesan and Lasagna. Scrumptious sandwiches, fresh salads and burgers are also elevated. Turkey dip…my go to dish at Rosines: perfection. Piccata also very good. Rosine’s is ONLY reliably good restaurant in Monterey. Crowded busy high volume of solid dishes leaning Italian.

We have been going to Rosine’s for over 10 years. My kids immediately fell in love with the place because of their large variety of great cakes. I dare anyone to a find a better place that makes cakes/deserts like theirs. We have celebrated many special occasions there. We have been there for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We have never had a bad meal. Their food portions have always been large. Even during Covid Rosine’s did not cut back on their portions. They have a high turnaround on their servers, but we have always had nice, polite, professional people serving us. It’s sad and exciting, but we are moving away from the area. This was our last time coming to Rosine’s. We wish we could take Rosine’s with us. Too bad this is the only one. We are definitely going to miss this restaurant. But when we are back in town, we will definitely come back.

Great food, service was good but they were a bit busy so they struggled remembering the people outside like us, but it was okay.

We had never been to this restaurant in Monterey and were greatly surprised at the excellent meal. The service was great and we were seated without reservation immediately. Thank you!

I made the reservation for Mother’s Day on Open Table about 2 months prior. We got there half an hour early and I let them know we were there but expected to wait until reservation time. It was packed and they were trying to sit people just walking in - big groups. The host looked up our reservation and told me they’d try for our reservation time. I felt that we shouldn’t have had any problem getting a table with a reservation. I requested on the reservation seating near the entrance because my elderly parents have a hard time walking. We were seated, after our reservation time, at a table in the back next to open French doors so my parents had to wear their jackets. The food was good but my sons didn’t get their appetizers until after we received our dinners, which we had to remind the waitress. Again, they were busy but I didn’t feel like we were necessarily welcomed or cared for. Service definitely could have been better. On a less busy day, the service is definitely better. The food is good so we will try again.
