We made a reservation for a family dinner for my birthday. We were sat at a very loud, tight dining room. After sitting for 20 minutes, The chef/owner came over seeming discombobulated and told us the specials - poured us 4 waters (there were 6 of us) and said our waiter would be over with bread. We sat for 15 more minutes and no one came to our table. We got up and left. Quite sad because we made a reservation. No apology was given for the wait or that they were obviously unable to cater to the amount of people in the restaurant.

Very good food, prices are fair. Kitchen is very slow especially on busier nights (weekends, holidays). Best to go on an off night.

Excellent food, friendly service, and very resonable prices set this restaurant apart from most. High quality family restaurants like Rosina's are difficult to find today's corporate world. Keep up the great work, we will be back for many great meals.

Sat in the main dining room which was full and pretty loud. Loved the service…attentive yet not obnoxious. Food was awesome as always. Love the burrata and pizza as an appetizer to share was great. Meatballs are also excellent as is the tiramisu. Can’t wait to come again

We have eaten here several times before and believed it to be five star, but unfortunately this night was a disappointment. We were there with my son and his wife after telling them how wonderful it was in the past. I will say it was a Saturday night but we were there very early. It took forever took get our food and for the most part, the food was quite good. The dessert, creme brulee was undercooked and had more of a watery consistency. The restaurant filled up to the max inside and the noise was so loud we all had difficulty in hearing one another. Now I really can't blame them for this. I point it out so that if you are taking a date , have a business meeting or want to have casual conversation, you may want to reconsider at least on this day of the week. Following the meal, we again had to wait a long period of time for our server to recognize we were done and bring the check over. I would return, but certainly not on a weekend evening.

My wife and I spit a cod dish with pasta. It was excellent and reasonably priced. Prior to our main dish, we had a Siciliana Salad, which was terrific. This restaurant is a gem.

My wife had the spaghetti bolognese, which I’ve had before. It was great again! I started with the burrata—awesome. And my entree was a special: creamy braised short ribs mixed into bucatini pasta. It was absolutely amazing!

we really like rosina's the food has always been exceptional and that's true even if we don't order the same meal each time we dine there. always want to try something different and have never had a bad meal. our servers will always help us make up our choice, and william, our server 0n the 13th was awesome and knowledgeable about the dinners and wine!!

First time here even though we live in the neighborhood. Experience far exceeded expectations. Food was excellent, service superb, and a great value overall. We'll be back!

It’s was our anniversary and they did nothing special on the table. In fact the small vase with flowers on each table the water was old and smelled… really nasty. Also we told owner when he asked about meal we remarked fish was cooked perfect but the mash potatoes were cool to warm. He was told it was our anniversary and with that remark to him I feel he should have comp our dessert or something. I would not recommend this restaurant if you want special treatment on a special occasion.

Usually 4star but disappointed with latest meal. Pasta dishes were partially burnt and seemed to be overcooked. Will stay away from these menu items next time.

This was our first time at Rosina, but not the first time enjoying Rosina's great family's cuisine. We had part of a bottle of Brunello di Montalcino (most came home with us), which supplemented our shared Caesar Salad, the night's special short ribs with gnocchi, and saltimbocca alla Romana. Dinner was topped off with a shared tiramisu and cannoli. Although the salad was a bit bland for my taste (could have used more garlic and anchovy flavor), the main dishes were fantastic. I was at first a bit disappointed to learn that the saltimbocca was not veal but pork; however, it was FAR better than most of the veal-based dishes I've ever had. My new go-to! Fortunately for me, my wife ordered the short ribs and there were some to take home. Not so lucky for her with my saltimbocca. The drive up from downtown San Diego was easy-peasy, the prices were very reasonable (and much better than restaurants in Little Italy, walking distance from home). We will be back! I'm glad that we had reservations, and strongly recommend them to anyone planning to enjoy their evening there. So glad we went! ATBster

We had wonderful clam chowder last night. It was as If I were back in Boston. Our pasta bolognese was also excellent. Rosina's is a wonderful restaurant.

Great restaurant. Pretty rare that you ask about something that isn’t on the menu and they say they would be happy to make it for you and then bring out one of the best iterations of it you’ve had in years.

The bartender gal was top notch! She gave us spectacular service and still managed to make drinks for the entire restaurant. She was a one woman show! Food was delicious too. Only thing I didn’t love was the Caesar salad. Lasagna was wonderful!

Always have a good meal at Rosina's. My husband got the lasagna and I ate the special papparadelli made that afternoon with mussels and shrimp which was outstanding. Homemade pasta always the best choice. Squash blossom appetizer filled with cheese, artichoke and fried was a special treat too
