This local steakhouse is heads and shoulders above the chains. The service is excellent, the food is excellent. We had a wonderful meal and our server and the team made our night out the best it could be.

The steak was phenomenal! Service was fantastic. The mashed potatoes were pretty dry and flavorless, but other than that the food was amazing. Everyone couldn't have been nicer and more welcoming.

Our go to neighborhood steakhouse - always good, always great service and a great bar too for sports watchers too. Right down the street from the Drake Hotel too.

We live in Cincinnati but we dine at the Rosebud on Walton every time we visit Chicago. It’s the perfect restaurant—great food and bar, with excellent service in a comfortable atmosphere. Thank you, Rosebud! We’ll be back!

Made open table reservation , got their early and was seated right away. The waiter Eddie was attentive and personable. Ordered the dry aged rib eye, very good, my wife ordered cheeseburger cooked to her liking. Cocktails were well made and sides and desert were very good. Great value and nice casual atmosphere.

Great experience, food just wasn’t up to par like previous visits. Also, very odd ending to meal. We had saved a part of our meal (truffle tots) to take home and a waiter randomly just came by and took it to the back to never return. Very disappointing considering the cost added to the fact the food was not top tier like prior visits. Hopefully it was a one-off but I will be waiting awhile to return.

Large party dining (7). Unlike other restaurants I’ve been recently, we were able to enjoy good food and conversation without having to worry about feeling we needed to be out in 90 minutes or less. As requested in my reservation notes, they gave us a table in a quieter, space, than in the middle of the restaurant. Clientele included business, date nights and families. If you’re a meat eater you will enjoy this fine dining experience.

It was so so good. The steak had a perfect crust, (truffle butter was such a good decision) and the sides were the best. The brussel sprouts were a standout. Service was incredible and we also got a cannoli for the birthday girl.

We had a wonderful night. The staff was warm and very available, the food was outstanding and although noisy it was more of a happy not overwhelming background noise. All in all it was a 10 out of 10

This was our first trip to Chicago and we went to Rosebud the last night we were there. This ended our trip on the highest of highs. The first thing that you notice is the incredible buzz. The food was phenomenal and the service was amazing. Chris was so knowledgeable and answered any questions that we had. We will back on our next trip to Chicago

It feels like going home to me. So many feels. Best service ever. I lived here once upon a time. This was my favorite restaurant. Still is. Thanks for the lovely menu and food and hospitality. I will be back.

Visiting Chicago for the first time. Enjoyed our dinner - steaks and oysters were amazing. Our waiter Mike was attentive but not in our space. Will visit again - great city and place to eat.

The staff and service was wonderful but our food was just ok. I had a filet which was tough to cut. I’ve never experienced that with a filet. The chocolate was dry as well as the rolls. The food was not bad, just ok but the staff was very attentive and informative.

The food quality and flavors was below similar priced steakhouses in Chicago. The 40 day dry aged bone in ribeye was aged well and cooked to desired doneness of medium rare. However the meat was rather dry and not seasoned. The lobster was way too salty my wife did not eat it.

Excellent supper club type restaurant. Food and service is 5 star. Friend had the filet, cooked perfectly, and I had the NY strip, dry aged. Phenomenal. Mac and cheese was taste, and a good accent to the meat.
