Located in the historic Fulton Market district of Chicago’s West Loop neighborhood, Rose Mary is Chef/Owner Joe Flamm’s debut restaurant inspired by his Italian heritage and the bold, bright flavors of Croatian cuisine. The boisterous space—named for Flamm’s grandmothers, Mary and Mary Rose, and the herb rosemary, which grows natively along the Italian and Croatian coastlines—offers a seasonal menu of rustic yet refined dishes that encapsulate what Flamm has coined “Adriatic drinking food”.

The food at Rose Mary was some of the best I have ever had. I asked my server for his recommendations and I am so glad I did. I started with the tuna and sweet potatoes and I can't even describe the flavors but they were incredible. I ordered the bucatini as an entree and again, I was so impressed. I had to wait 30 min past my reservation time and the staff treated me so well because of it. I definitely will be back next time I am in Chicago.

I love the food at Rose Mary. There is a nice variety and while there are some favorites that stay on the list (e.g., zucchini fritters, tuna crudo) there are always new things to try too. Nice variety of fish/meat/pasta too. Only down side is that they cap your reservation at 2 hours b/c there's always a line waiting to dine!

It was a phenomenal meal! Super impressed with everything from the food to the ambiance to the service. Excellent! Brendan was amazing as well!

We love this restaurant but were a bit disappointed on the Mother’s Day Brunch fixed menu. 3 meat dishes which were all a bit greasy and no seafood which is what we love most about the restaurant.

My parents were in town visiting me in Chicago for Mother’s Day weekend. I just moved here in January and had been to Rose Mary with a good friend a few weeks ago. We had such an excellent experience and great food that I decided to take them there as well. The Mother’s Day brunch menu was excellent. My father is a pescatarian and they were able to bend over backwards for him to make his meal special too. It was an excellent meal and great service. The only downfall from both times is that it is a rather loud establishment, but I certainly get that for the amount of food and quality. I will definitely be back.

I’ve been here a handful of times, and most experiences have been really wonderful but yesterday missed the mark. The food was bland, steak was overcooked, and lacked seasoning. Service was slow. The only thing worth mentioning was the pork ribs *which we always order because they are always delicious. This was a disappointing experience and we wish it went differently.

Celebrated my birthday here. The service level matched the flavor of the food, expect to be wowed and taken on a “blate” to Croatia. Fine job BOH & FOH!

First time dining here and it was wonderful. The beef cheek gnocchi was a standout. Don't skip dessert. You won't find anything like these desserts at any other restaurant.

Food was over priced and mediocre. Wine pours were 4 oz tops. Also the 4% covid fee is garbage. Legislation is going to fix that soon, but shame on you for this. It doesn’t benefit the staff. You just pocket it. Highly disappointed in this experience. Our server was phenomenal and charasmatic. He is the only reason this gets 2 stars instead of one.

We had another amazing dinner at Rose Mary! The Croatian wine offerings are always delicious and this menu’s pasta options are some of the best yet. Zucchini fritters are still a must order. Tried the pistachio dessert and it was incredible.

Reservations ran 45 minutes late. We were originally sat in a back room. I went back to host to asked to be sat in main dining area.

We went to Rose Mary for my mom’s birthday. I could only get a reservation for 4:30 pm, but it was so worth it! We absolutely loved everything we ordered! Will definitely be back!

Rose Mary came highly recommended from a few Chicagoans and it didn’t fall short. Every bite from the appetizers to the dessert didn’t fail to satisfy!! I too recommend it HIGHLY!!

Everything we ate was amazing, and got better and better. From the drinks, to the service, to the food, Rose Mary did not disappoint. We had the tuna, zucchini bites, asparagus risotto, lamb, and pork and I honestly could not pick a favorite! Would 100% recommend.

Honestly overhyped. I hate to say it. Food was good but I was expecting better. Service was good but crossing the line of too much. I had to tell the waitress and staff 3-4 separate times to not grab my plate because we weren’t done. Way too pushy.

Really good food with interesting flavors! We had the tuna crudo which was great, cacio e Pepe - very good but rich and the pork ribs (10/10!). Only thing I wasn’t as thrilled with was the apple crepe dessert.

There are four places in the West Loop where you will have a bad bite: Rose Mary is one of them. Interestingly, they are part of the same group that owns BLVD, another of my four picks. Can't go wrong with any share dishes.

Rosemary was Fabulous!!! Food, service and experince was Great!!! I would highly recommend going if you have not been. It was our first visit and our server was great about guiding us through the menu!!

The shared plates are the best way to be able to taste as much on the menu as possible! The ribs and gnocchi were incredible! Cocktails were fun and delicious! The only reason I gave an overall of 4 stars instead of 5 is the 2 hour window of dining time. For us, that is a bit rushed if you want to try and enjoys lots of dishes and your drinks. We will be back!

Such an outstanding dining experience! We got the zucchini fritters, tuna crudo, cacio e Pepe, and the pork ribs, and it was all so amazing! One of the best meals we’ve had. Can’t wait to return.

Everything was very bland and under-salted. Main server was apathetic at best. Zucchini fritters tasted like they were fried in old oil and slightly burnt. Cramped space where you’re on top of other guests. Disappointing because our first visit 2 years ago was excellent. Oh well, won’t be back!

We had literally spend $600 and were kicked out within 30 seconds of paying. The food and service were excellent. But the hostess was incredibly rude. We didn’t linger. We literally paid and were evicted. Rough end to a nice evening.

The food here is amazing. Truly every dish we had was stellar. Service was attentive and thoughtful. Incredible pastas, hearth cooked food. There's a reason this place is booked solid, immense attention to detail without being pretentious or ostentatious.

There were 3 of us. - we ordered 6 items, and it was pretty perfect. The drinks were super expensive, that’s my only complaint. $18 for a very small glass of wine is a lot, but I’d go back. It was very bustling, but that’s kinda fun too. All good.

The ambience and service were excellent. The plates are meant to be shared, however, the portion size was very small for the price of each dish. My husband left hungry.
