Situé à seulement quelques pâtés de maisons du quartier animé de Union Square à Manhattan, le Rosa Mexicano est le 3ème restaurant de ce nom à New York. Il propose un cadre chaleureux et vivant et une cuisine mexicaine primée authentique. Conçu par David Rockwell, il présente des éléments architecturaux inspirés par le célèbre et regretté architecte mexicain Luis Barragan. Les murs bleu électrique avec lumière intégrée représentent des plongeurs et des bougies au milieu d'une cascade d'eau pour séparer le bar de la salle à manger principale. Le restaurant arbore de la terre cuite chaleureuse et des couleurs jaunes associées à des touches de rose foncé. Il est également décoré d'artisanat mexicain exceptionnel, d'étoffes et d’œuvres d'art. Ces associations créent le décor idéal pour l'atmosphère festive et la cuisine mexicaine innovante proposées par le Rosa Mexicano.

Our server took over 15 mins to come greet our table. Drinks and dishes were forgotten during the meal. Clearly it’s a popular lunch spot but they need more staff to handle it. Food was good.

Es war nicht voll, dennoch war der Service schlecht. Die Vorspeise kam, aber nur ein Teil und auf den ret mussten wir lange warten. Der Hauptgang war kalt und die Getränke wurden vergessen.

Some of the worst service I’ve ever had. The food made me and my friend sick too. The servers did not check in at all and did not seem to care about our table.

The overall dining experience was ok. It would have been much better had our main course been served hot instead of cold. Some of it wasn’t even warm. It was taken care of promptly however- within 10 minutes. Had to ask for water several times. But it is a beautiful place and overall a good time.

Sadly the waiter did not put all the orders in so while my mom and cousin were eating I was waiting and after 10-15 mins I had to ask the waiter about my order and he mentioned he only put those two in and would put my order in since he only heard two. I got my food when they were already done eating . So it wasn’t the experience I wanted. The strawberry margarita was okay but didn’t taste nothing like strawberry.

Food arrived kinda room temperature. Takes a while to get the drinks. The waiter does not check on us frequent. Food is over priced for the quality and quantity.

Ordered from the Pronto menu. The appetizers and entrees all arrived at the same time but not everyone's food was ready and food was not as described in the menu.

I made a reservation for 12AM (midnight) and I received a call from the restaurant saying that they'll be already closed at that time. Why would the restaurant have open slots for guests to make reservations, and then received a call that they're closed? Would be nice to have a more accurate closing time so that guests can make reservations accordingly.

Natalia was just perfect!! From the time we walked in to when we walked out. I had a party of 8. She was so patient and kind. I really appreciated her going out of the way to make my daughter’s birthday special. Everything about this evening was a 10 out of 10!

Despite having a reservation, we waited to be seated while other walk-in customers, whose parties had similar numbers to ours, were seated before us. Why bother with a reservation? Five minutes after we were finally seated, we were asked to move to a different table. To their credit, they bought us our first round of drinks for the inconvenience. This is a loud space. Tough for conversation. Food was good. Margaritas are the best thing on the menu!

Great location. Very pricey for small portions. The food was very tasty (Baja fish tacos). Server clearly wanted to flip our table. He had us out of there in less than an hour. We felt very rushed.

They start you off with a complementary dish of fresh tortilla chips and salsa in the hopes you will get the guacamole which costs $18! They make it tableside, but it was way beyond our budget. We declined and went straight to the entrees. We got the Beef Brisket Enchiladas (good) and the Camarones al Mojo de Ajo (good but very oily due to the chorizo and butter sauce). Not the most healthiest dinner, but an occasional treat once in a blue moon.

My daughter and I really enjoyed it. Got the guacamole that was made at the table, the civiche and tacos. Portions were a bit small but the food was delicious

I have eaten here before with no issues. This visit was less than acceptable. I was not greeted on entering the restaurant. The attendant at the door was not friendly at all. She asked me if I would prefer a round table, I told her yes but she placed me in a booth. When the rest of my party arrived, I requested that I be switched to a round table. She didn’t seem to be very pleased about that. The waiter seemed to have been responsible for several tables. He never once asked us if we wanted drinks. He didn’t even come to take our orders until I tracked him down. At this point I requested a drink and it was brought just before the meal. Still didn’t ask us if we wanted drinks. It was water for the whole time we were there. Once the meals were brought he never came back to check on us or to see if we needed anything else. Again I had to flag him down to let him know that we needed the check. He had a pleasant demeanor I will give him that. I was embarrassed because I was there to celebrate my 60th birthday and spoke highly of Rosa Mexicano to my guest. I also mentioned on the reservation that we were celebrating a birthday. Waste of time. It was never acknowledged. I will not be dining here again.

Very lively vibe. But super fun and although it’s huge. Staff are super attentive. Food was delicious. Great location.

Guacamole was great. Ceviche was so bad that we left before ordering any more food.

Food is good but a bit pricey for the portions. The service is mediocre at best. The selection of tequila is great and the drinks are good.
