La 2ème succursale tant attendue du Rosa Mexicano a ouvert ses portes en juillet 2000. À quelques pas du Lincoln Center, cet impressionnant espace conçu par David Rockwell dispose d'un mur d'eau de 30 pieds couvrant les deux niveaux du restaurant, irisé de tuiles bleues et orné de 240 plongeurs miniatures. Il offre également un escalier "flottant" spectaculaire tout en dalles de terrazzo, dans les tons d'orange et de rouge, et des panneaux rétroéclairés derrière le bar décoré de pétales de rose. Elu "Best Restaurant 2000" par l'Interiors Magazine, son look contemporain unique a inauguré une nouvelle ère pour l'établissememt.

Hadn’t been in awhile and decided to try Rosa again. Food was pretty disappointing. My friend’s shrimp tempura tacos were supposed to come with a “spicy sauce” according to the waiter. It was actually just mayo and was not spicy at all. Not to mention it was drenched. We ordered the churros for dessert and they were stale and lukewarm. The chocolate dipping sauce was cold. We were expecting warm, chewy churros with a warm dipping sauce and it was far from it. The table-side guacamole is still good though. I think it’ll be another few years before I come back, if at all.

Steph was attentive, food was delicious. Only criticism is the acoustics in the restaurant. Loud clatter of conversations.

This place was a zoo! Great for parties and get togethers. Too raucous for 2 people wanting to have a conversation. Gauc was good. My crispy shrimp were soggy. Service was personable and courteous.

Granted they were busy, but for such an enormous space they were grossly understaffed. Our server tried, but in the entire hour we were there, we spoke to him three times: when we ordered and when we paid. We wanted additional drinks, but couldn’t find anyone to help. The guacamole portion was sad, barely enough for two people. Our entrees were big, but poor flavor - just very salty - even for Mexican food. There’s not many choices in the area for pre-show dinner, and still, we wouldn’t return.

Good food and service. Staff work really hard and deserve a generous tip. Good for pre Lincoln Center or office/birthday party. It’s a volume place. Not a place for serious business deals. That said food and drinks are excellent

I arrived and was told the upstairs was full - I had a friend in from out of town - and the upstairs is much nicer. So we sat downstairs where the tables are very very small. No one was sitting on either side - I asked if we could pull another table to make our space bigger. We were told no, every seat had been booked. They would also need to clean the tables if we put even a bottle of water on another table. We had to put our chips on the seat next to us. NO ONE ever came and sat in any of the other seats downstairs - I really felt that was obnoxious as this is a nice place. The excuse was bazzar as well - and I just felt like my experience didnt matter. I am supprised and not happy at all with our dinner, I have been there many times before. WIth its Grade Pending - I think it is changed for the worse. Thinking more about the customer is not so hard!

I wasn't seated until my guest arrived, so I had to wait outside in the rain. This policy seems ridiculous for a table for two (I would get for a party of 6+!) and affected the overall experience. The staff were respectful though and the food was fine, but the inconvenience of waiting overshadowed everything else.

Always a good place to go. Guac and Margaritas are super. Service was slow yesterday for some reason- possibly a lot of large parties for graduations? Our server was terrific though and we know it wasn't her fault.
