La 2ème succursale tant attendue du Rosa Mexicano a ouvert ses portes en juillet 2000. À quelques pas du Lincoln Center, cet impressionnant espace conçu par David Rockwell dispose d'un mur d'eau de 30 pieds couvrant les deux niveaux du restaurant, irisé de tuiles bleues et orné de 240 plongeurs miniatures. Il offre également un escalier "flottant" spectaculaire tout en dalles de terrazzo, dans les tons d'orange et de rouge, et des panneaux rétroéclairés derrière le bar décoré de pétales de rose. Elu "Best Restaurant 2000" par l'Interiors Magazine, son look contemporain unique a inauguré une nouvelle ère pour l'établissememt.

It was Tuesday Taco night so may have affected experience. Free salsa was watery, tacos were minimal and served cold. Sent back to kitchen but new order was tasteless. Only positive was savings on cost.

Very positive experience! We have originally had a reservation for 7. At the very last minute we ended up being 10. The manager was very polite and accommodating and, in just a few moments, the table for 10 was ready for us.

The Rosa Mexicano restaurant by Lincoln Center offers a nice experience. The waiter we had was exceptional and was attentive. The food was good, especially the tres leche cake (sooo good!). My mother and I were quite full with fried shrimp and chicken tacos and side of rice & beans, and I can not forget the freshly made guacamole! After a while, I forgot that I had ever tried making reservations at the Rosa Mexicano in Midtown East. This location was way better!!

Not nearly as good as it used to be. They changed the menu a while back and added more items that Americans are used to seeing on a Mexican restaurant menu such as nachos. They never had that in the past. Service isn’t as good either. Was once much more upscale experience.

We are frequent diners here. This was probably our worst experience ever. We asked to be seated upstairs with our reservation but were seated downstairs. Room was very noisy and cold. Service was inattentive and rushed. Our main course was brought out even before we were half way through our margaritas and appetizers. It felt more like McDonalds than the Rosa we are used to.

My second guest was running a little late, and rather than being able to be sat in advance so I could place an order to be ready for my guest’s arrival so we could get to Lincoln Center on time, I was asked to wait until they arrived before being seated. After the host described the strict policy, I asked if I could get a table of one instead in order to begin the order right away. The host honored the table of one but made sure to take the second place setting away from the table, which later needed to be replaced again when my guest arrived. My decision to change my reservation from 2 to 1 was a benefit to the restaurant, kitchen, and server as they were able to get more revenue than if I had needed to wait and only been able to order an appetizer in the time we had after the guest arrived. I understand how a “full party” policy may be necessary in some circumstances, however, as a business owner, there’s also a possible loss of revenue to be considered for such strict policies. Other than the host’s attitude around working with the policy and my change based on the policy, the food was great, and atmosphere was lovely.

we are locals and have been here before and never had an experience as poor as this. the service was very slow. my companions said that the wait staff forgot about us. but I don't know how they could have; they gave us the table closest to the kitchen. we arrived 15 min early for our reservation and the resaurant was not very crowded. we each had dinner and two rounds of drinks. we had been there a few minutes short of 2 hours and were waiting for our waiter so we could ask for our check. he appeared and abruptly said that they needed the table. they had people with reservations waiting. we were stunned and disappointed.

Decent food convenient to Lincoln Center. Service can be spotty, even at off times. Premium drinks could be more generously sized for the price.

I got there at 4:30pm had a fulhnctipn at 6pm and assumed that I would have more than enough time to have finished dinner. Our food was served at 6:10pm and my friend’s order was wrong. The delay caused me to be late to an important corporate function. Do better Rosa Mexicana

They seated us outside where it was quiet, and we were served immediately. Delicious, moderately priced. But inside it seemed much too noisy for me!

Friday night at 6:30. Very crowded, very loud in a small room with tables very close together . Service good and food delicious but will probably go back mid week.

First, of all, our waiter was terrific as he was very attentive and knowledgeable. Where the restaurant falls down a bit is with the food in some respects. The guacamole, for instance, at $18.00 was quite good but the serving was miniscule. The waiter informed us it was 1.5 avocadoes. Perhaps it was, but the smallest on the planet? My wife had the Baja-style fish tacos and I had the pork tacos. Very small portions and while the taco wrappers were fine, the contents were lukewarm. We ate downstairs which is considerably quieter than the upstairs, which was cacophonous. The tres leches dessert is a standout, though. Really, really good. So, overall, a 4 rating.

Tableside guacamole is good as ever, but the portion is getting smaller. If you are more than 2, a double order is a must. The pomegranate frozen margarita is a house staple - always yummy and packs a punch. Brisket enchiladas are excellent. It appears waiters are being pressured to turn tables more quickly - ours asked for our order the minute we sat down. We had to ask him for more time 3 times.

I was visiting NYC after moving to West Coast a few years ago. Rosa’s guacamole and pomegranate frozen margaritas were always my favorites. So I went there last night for dinner. The guacamole was mushy and tasteless. The margarita was overly sweet and runny. The whole experience was a disappointment.

Sad to see that Rosa Mexicano at Lincoln Square seems to have become a quick stop for so-so Mexican before events at Lincoln Center. The service was horrible...and the food was cold. Embarrassed that I selected this spot for an out of town friend.

We experienced the Passover menu. Every item was delicious, the soup, plus each of us had different entrees, salmon, brisket and chicken. All delicious. And of course their famous guacamole!!

Very good traditional Mexican food. Wait staff was jammed which resulted in one missed order but otherwise was quick and efficient. Great marguerites! You can't beat the location if you are headed to Lincoln Center!

Good good, great service. They’re across from Lincoln Center and are totally committed to getting you out in time for your show. It IS a bit loud, but that is the only reservation. We’ll be back.

We were blown away by the kindness of the manager and staff for Passover .The food was delicious and the atmosphere was super warm. We will definitely be returning!

Terrific, fun, and lovely dinner at Rosa Mexicano. So enjoyed sitting outside in the booth.

Tables were way too close together. People bumped into us we bumped into people. The waiters hand went on my head at one point. It used to to be more cozy. I miss that as the food is good.
