Roots is a delicious find in West Hollywood, on Melrose. The ambiance is above casual but not "white tablecloth" fancy. The food is extraordinary, with great flavors and high-quality ingredients. I recommend you go and enjoy.

Roots is one of my favorite restaurants in Los Angeles and I took my Boyfriend and his friend during this trip - and once again Roots did not disappoint. Both loved it so much they wanted to go back for lunch the next day. The menu is hard to read because it is in such a small font but otherwise Roots is A MUST for any foodie.

The food did not have authentic taste like India and was overhyped on social media. Zero value for money! Food was extremely oily and tasted like the same oil was used for frying over and over again

Overall Roots Bistro is very good. Food was tasty. The masala fries were good but could have been spicier. Overall food was tasty, portions were perfect, and very reasonably priced. We definitely recommend increasing the spice level when ordering. It brought out more flavor. We did feel a little bit rushed once it got busy but overall good experience. Owner is great very friendly and basically runs everything. Definitely a must try.
