Root Down and the Edible Beats Family (Root Down, Linger, Ophelias, Vital Root and El Five) are very grateful to welcome you to our restaurant.

Our menu features eclectic, globally-influenced seasonal cuisine, with a focus on organic, natural and locally-sourced ingredients.

Our interior dining space has the classic vibe of a neighborhood restaurant, while our large main patio offers picturesque views of the near neighborhood and downtown skyline.

Reservations are available online at ediblebeats.com/rootdown, as well as OpenTable. We happily accept walk-ins as availability allows.

Our space is available for private events year round, please inquire with us directly for information :)

Please be aware we are located in a residential area, and parking is available in the near neighborhood, along with a small paid-lot located directly across the street from our location.

Always one of my favorite places to dine! The lamb sliders are always five stars, and you can never go wrong with a beet down cocktail!

The restaurant was incredibly overbooked. They didn’t sit us until 15 min after our reservation and only had bar seating when we booked the patio. The bartender would not take our order and we almost left because we couldn’t get any service.

We were seated right away with reservation but took over 40 minutes just to get water and our beverage order. Food took a normal amount of time but was lukewarm. Every one I know in Denver highly recommends this place so maybe it was an off day?

Enjoyed our evening all the way around. However, the additional 5% gratuity for kitchen staff was added on before tax. Not sure why I would be expected to pay taxes on a tip 🤷🏼‍♀️

Excellent choice for dinner. Joe was exceptional in catering to our unexpected need to alter the reservation. Entire staff was friendly, service was excellent. Of particular interest to us was the restaurant’s attention to allergy requests, a specialty of their’s. Would highly recommend this restaurant for its service, individual attention, and varied menu.

We were seated on the heated patio which was much quieter than the restaurant. Lots of vegetarian options and fun cocktail choices. It was a healthy, delicious meal. Service was efficient and friendly.

Great customer service in accommodating our larger party. They went above and beyond to set up our space in advance. The food was wonderful. Most of us opted for the lesser expensive small plates and lamb sliders. The outdoor patio was very warm and protected from a windy evening. It made our special birthday dinner for a friend very special.

Saturday brunch; food is inventive and flavorful, albeit served lukewarm. Oh so loud inside as to grow irritating. Younger people nearly screaming after a few cocktails. High noise decibel inside the warehouse garage type space. Some acoustical panels would do wonders for dining ambience. Service was cordial and excellent from time of arrival to bar delivery and food service.

Such good food, everything tasted amazing, but portions are very small. We ended up leaving hungry. The restaurant itself is cute too, I just wish you got more bang for your buck.

From the moment we walked in the door until it was time to leave, my friend and I were treated with respect and courtesy from every member of the staff that we came in contact with. The food was amazing, waiting was minimal making it one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. I will definitely be recommending this establishment every chance I get.

This place has something for everyone, vegetarian, vegan, and otherwise. Every dish is made with care, cocktails are well crafted, and the desserts are very good. The staff were friendly and able to help us with separate billing for food and alcohol, and with splitting checks. This is a great place to go for a business dinner, guest in town, special occasion, or a hip dinner for two. Highly recommended.

Service and food were fantastic! Sat in the outdoor enclosed patio area during a really windy evening. Our server moved us twice to find a warmer spot, was helpful in making menu decisions, and was attentive throughout with bothering us. Will definitely be back!
