My favorite restaurant in Wollongong! How do they manage to blend so many flavours into their menus. Every dish is unique and delicious . The staff are so attentive and helpful and know each dish well. Some form of acoustic noise reduction could help as the hard surfaces can make it very noisy. Still the best place to dine !!

Friendly staff. Nice old building. Food was a bit less then expected. Market fish was made with too much sweet sauce on it. Accompanying salad was nice but basic.

Food is delicious and on point as always, along with the service. Price is great for such amazing food. Highly recommend. Will always be my favourite restaurant in wollongong

Excellent food but as a couple of hearing-impaired oldies the noise level made hearing difficult. Perhaps a quieter spot next time not close to a group of 8 diners.

Tremendous lunch for my husband and myself. Chose the set menu 6 courses. All were spectacular. This restaurant deserves a hat!! Service was also excellent. Had a great experience and will definitely be back

Snack tasting menu was amazing as usual...this was my 3rd time in 6 months! Service was wonderful, was able to slow down dishes coming out. Was very hit & humid, ac was useless, but could open the wibdow which did the trick. Great bday celebration

We chose the $99pp option. It was great. Each dish was well presented and descibed and very tasty. The service was excellent. Waitress, Miya, was terrific. Very friendly and engaging. A good night overall was had.

The food was enough in portion although some pieces were very strong in the sauces . It was a lovely experience although it’s quite loud in there and sometimes hard to hear the other person talking . The service was great but the food came out so fast . Overall the value is good .

Loved our experience here . Went for the (middle range) degustation (which was really a little too much for us for lunch) but each component was delicious and unique and interesting and plentiful . Service was delightful with a young man who was friendly and charming and sought to answer all our questions about the menu and accompanying wines. Would highly recommend this restaurant and this lunchtime degustation menu (although next time - and there will be a next time - we will go a little smaller) Loved it .

Outstanding food. We had one of the banquets. Great choice, variety and flavours. Each course came out a little too quickly but that is all I could fault One of the best restaurant experiences I have had

This is our second time at Rookie and I really think it is my favourite restaurant. Innovative dishes, punchy flavours, friendly staff and reasonable price tag. We will be back. The type of food I dream of.

This was our first visit to Rookies. It has a charming setting and calm ambience. The music was set quietly which is great as we could converse at a normal level. Service was attentive, the meal was nicely paced, food was delicious (there was a good selection for the meat eater and the vegetarian). A good range of wines available. We will be back.

Great service and amazing food. We had the tasting menu which consisted of 7 dishes. This was a great option and good value for money. The waiters were lovely and offered us a tasting of our wine before purchase!

To start, Lilly (spell?) and Annabelle (spell?) we’re amazing: amicable, knowledgeable, and right on. The food: great flavours. Some very new and unique, and even the more “expected” flavours had a special touch that made all the food we had really enjoyable. It is high cusubé and hence cannot expect low prices, but even then, we’ve had food that didn’t deserve the accolades this one does and paid the same. So, absolutely worth it. If there is one “minus” (which really is not) is that I don’t know why at time of reservation do we get asked if it’s a special occasion, I told them it was my birthday and then there was nothing said or done about it. Again not a real issue but strange.

The food was delicious, if a bit expensive.! The service faultless, especially as I requested to change the table I booked. The wines the usual huge % mark up we've all come to expect. I would definitely recommend Rookie, but, bring your money with you!

Always a fantastic meal at Rookie. We did the Rookie Feed Me menu which was delicious and super filling! Excellent service by all our waiters/waitresses.
