We got there right when they opened. Loved the atmosphere and how empty it was. They gave good happy hour deals for food and drinks. We ordered some great appetizers. One disappointing thing was we were celebrating our anniversary and we even put that in the reservations. No one mentioned it not acknowled it at any point. Service seemed lacking.

Gian Luca was a great server! He made us feel accommodated and welcomed. I felt the food was mediocre, it was lacking flavor and most especially for the serving size for the price. The cheese wheel special pasta didn’t really taste that special either. Probably would not come back here for dinner.

This was my 2nd time at Roman Wolves and sadly, this time, the food was disappointing and underwhelming. Not sure what happened yesterday, but the food was subpar (at best).

Took 5 minutes for the hostess to show up. They charge a surcharge due to californias minimum wage. The pasta made in a cheese wheel which is we went for is not worth the price.

Food was great. Beverage orders got messed up and took a long time. Seemed like they were a like they were a bit overwhelmed with customers. But… will go back.

The food came out 5 minutes after ordering and one dish was risotto. I expected fresh ingredients. The artichokes in the risotto were canned (pickled). Lack flavor and pasta was very hard and stuck together. Very disappointed. Services and ambiance was great!

Went with a party of 4, and The drinks and ambience were good. The food was very mediocre, small portioned and overpriced. I would go for a happy hour but would not recommend this place for food; the menu needs work and to command the prices they do the food needs to be much better and have more value.

The place is beautiful and the food was great! However we had a terrible experience, our server never bothered to check up on us and didn't bother explaining anything of the menu. He didn't even introduce himself.

Food and service were very good. The music was way too loud. Couldn’t have a conversation. Asked several times if music could be softened. Thankfully, they agreed to soften and we enjoyed the evening.

This was our first experience at Roman Wolves. It exceeded all expectations! The staff was so friendly and attentive. And the food! We had the fried artichokes, burrata and bruschetta to start. Every bite was delicious. The ingredients were fresh, everything was seasoned perfectly and the consensus at the table was the marinara sauce that accompanied the artichokes was some of the best we have tasted. The true highlight of the meal was the pasta dish that was prepared, table side, in a wheel of pecorino romano cheese! The fresh pasta was served in a cream sauce with spinach, pancetta and, of course, cheese. We ordered everything upon the recommendations of our server, Luca. He was awesome! And did not steer us wrong, food wise. He knew all about each dish on the menu, provided feedback on the wine menu that informed our choices, and definitely contributed to our excellent experience. We cannot wait to go back.

This was my first time dining at Roman Wolves. From the bar staff to Gianluca our waiter, everyone was knowledgeable, friendly and attentive. It's nice that it is not in the fray of Little Italy, but simply a couple of block walk. Thinking about heading back during the Art Walk this weekend to sample some more menu items.

Made reservations for 2 for dinner on a Monday night. We arrived a little early and they were able to seat us immediately (granted, there were only 4 other parties in the restaurant). We really wanted to try the cheese wheel pasta but the chef's special for that day was a truffle pasta and I'm not the biggest truffle fan. We ordered the fries, filet and the cacio e pepe to share. Food came out pretty fast. The fries were hot and crispy, the steak was perfectly cooked and so tender, but the real star was the pasta. Noodles were a perfect al dente and the sauce was so creamy and flavorful. I usually find cacio e pepe to be bland anywhere else I order it, but it was SO GOOD here. Service was also amazing. Everyone from the hostess to the servers were so friendly and attentive. Good food, good service and the prices are very reasonable. We will definitely be back.

The server seemed cold. No smile, but perhaps b/c being new. the workers seemed intent on their work, so much so that they did not give a relaxed ambiance. A more relaxed, happy appearing staff would help. Everything else is fantastic!

The food, the ambiance, and the service were phenomenal. 5 stars all around! Little Italy is very competitive with the dining options so we chose Roman Wolves because of their cheese wheel pasta. The brand storytelling was on point, the service staff was all dressed very sharply, and the presentation from start to finish was excellent. I was treating my out-of-state friend to a unique dining experience in San Diego, and she was quite impressed! My absolute favorite thing (aside from the cheese-wheel pasta presentation!) was the pace of the dining experience. Our server was so kind and attentive and kept a close eye on our table to make sure we had plenty of time to enjoy each course, savor the food and drink, and have a chance to connect before they brought out the next thing. It wasn't rushed, we didn't need to hurry up and eat, and hightail it out of there. Many restaurants bring everything to the table at once and rush you out to make room for the next guests, which is understandable. Still, at Roman Wolves it seems they know how to curate intentional and exceptional dining experiences. Small detail but I noticed and was very impressed. 12/10 recommend.

The service was bad. They got my drink wrong, they add thing to my dish that I didn't ask for, and the bill was wrong too. Tables outside were uncomfortable. Stressful experience.

My bf and i got the branzino and the special pasta made in the cheese wheel. Branzino was delicious but the side carrots were cold. The pasta was underwhelming. wine selection was excellent.

Roman Wolves is an absolute gem! From the moment we stepped in, we were enveloped in the cozy ambiance reminiscent of an authentic Italian eatery. Our dining experience was nothing short of extraordinary. We started with the zucchini blossom appetizer, which was a delightful burst of flavors, followed by the octopus, cooked to absolute perfection – tender and flavorful.The cheese wheel pasta stole the show, becoming an instant favorite among our group, and the pork cheek pasta was a revelation with its rich and robust red sauce, reminiscent of the flavors found in Italy. Each bite transported us to the streets of Rome. To cap off our meal, we indulged in the heavenly tiramisu and a divine pastry dessert accompanied by the most amazing ice cream we've ever tasted. The attention to detail in every dish was evident, showcasing the culinary prowess of the chefs. Not only was the food exceptional, but the service was also top-notch. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond! Thank you and can’t wait to return!

We sat outside with heaters. Our waiter Gian Luca was great, very attentive. We liked the artichoke hearts so much we ordered them 2x. We split the Caesar salad and then had 3 different pastas- the Carbonara (delicious) the papardelle (delicious) the Cacio Pepe (not great) but they took if off our bill which we thought was very nice. We split the great tiramisu and they brought us some small glasses of Limoncella too. Overall it was a fun dinner - we will definately go back and try some of the meat and fish on the menu!
