Rogue Bros At The Boathouse - is dining seasonal, social and in our opinion with the best view in Scotland.

Brothers Mikey & James Sim focus on a social dining experience with seasonal plates, quality wines, beer and cocktails. With an ever changing 3 month menu we champion fresh and quality ingredients.

The restaurant has two distinct areas, our seafront - a relaxed spaced with a stunning view and the old boathouse - a beautiful traditional space. We can host tables of any size within what has been previously nicknamed "The best kept secret in South Queensferry".

Well it isn't a "secret" anymore.

Visited the Boathouse on a Saturday evening as a party of 5. Ordered Main Course and Dessert. The service and food was very good, staff very friendly and knowledgeable and explained menu to us. The restaurant is in a nice location overlooking the water and bridges. Just something about the ambience not quite right, room was quite noisy maybe some softer furnishings might help. Enjoyed the food and would go back.

Good atmosphere. Staff very knowledgeable on food to be served. Felt a little squeezed in (small table for 2 people) between other tables , felt like the placement was a bit of after thought. Pretty decent value for money. Deserts were extraordinary , can’t fault the food at all. Staff were fantastic throughout dining experience even though was a busy period. Definitely dine there again.

Really enjoyed our first visit to Rogue Bros at the Boathouse. The food was excellent and the staff were very helpful and friendly. We will definitely be back!

Visited 23/4/24 We were disappointed, no wine left as changing the selection so had to spend more than usual to get something we wanted, very hard to differentiate staff from customers due to how they were dressed. Felt like we were abit of a nuisance when asking questions. The main (steak bavette) was tasty but a very bland looking plate. Asked if it came with tomatoes (abit of colour ) was told no but a plate of tomato was brought to us. The steak it’s self was tasty but presentation let it down, felt it was overpriced for what we got. Cheese plate was tiny, we had to get more oatcakes. Overpriced for what it was. We are locals and eat out a lot but won’t be back. The menu and quality does not justify the prices unfortunately.

Thanks for leaving your feedback, I am sure you can appreciate while changing over to our new wine menu we have to run our stock's lower. As a new business we are making changes all the time, we have new staff aprons which give a clear staff standout. You should never feeling like a nuisance for asking questions, that's what we are here for. I apologise you felt like that. We have new plates so sorry you felt the steak was lacking in a little colour, we are happy you enjoyed the steak though. We use super premium cheese, a very expensive product to purchase in and won't move to a lower quality cheese but will happily get you more oatcakes. As you are locals you will know we are a new business. Trying to bring a new and different dining experience to our village and this takes time.

Good food with a wide variety of options, served by helpful and well presented staff. The situation is amazing with great views over the river and of course the famous bridges.

Really enjoyed our night at the boathouse. Relaxed environment, great food (and good portion sizes) as well as friendly and attentive staff. Good value and will be back

Food was outstanding. Best calamares I’ve tasted. Great choice of small plate dishes. My only (slight) negative would be the predictable, limited choice of wines. However it won’t stop us going back very soon.
