Had a table booked for 7pm for a birthday celebration after drinks at the bar was taken to the table at 7.15pm. The bar area was really great and a place I would go for drinks next time out. The table was on the high level and we were the only table with it being a table of 10. Initially the table was great for the birthday celebration when we came to look at the menu we all had to use our phones light to see the menu. Service really slow by 8.30pm we still hadn't received starters, felt like the service was slow so we would get more drinks. Asked for a recommendation for my main course, the pork cheek was recommended, this was a really poor dish with not a lot of meat the dish was sent back, by the time the waitress came back most of the party had eaten so I didn't get another meal as I didn't want to eat on my own. All in all we left straight after desserts just over 11pm, 4 hours for a meal is really long time again felt like the delay is so you have more drinks. Wouldn't be in a rush to go back

Apart from a rather limited menu selection, the most disappointing issue was the food quality - my main course being disgraceful! Perhaps the lack of people eating in the restaurant reflected the effort/calibre of cooking - doubtful that any real chef had been near the kitchen when we ate. Non of the staff asked whether we'd enjoyed the mains, noting we had several different servers. Whilst the restaurant looks impressive and its in a good position, the ambience inside was non existence, probably due to the lack of customers dining. Definitely will not be revisiting or recommending the Riva Blu brand. Sadly it spoilt a what was planned to be a special dinner/theatre evening out.

My wife and I went to Riva Blu for Wine Wednesday, 50% off any bottle of wine. We have been to Riva Blu on Castle Street a number of times and the food and service has always been very good. This occasion was no exception, The food was very good and the wine excellent. This is a great deal if you like your wine. I would also like to mention our waitress, Victoria. She was very friendly and attentive and an asset to the restaurant.

Beside the prices slightly more expensive than in other restaurants, the food was very good (a bit too salty for my taste, but it was good). The atmosphere of the restaurant was the thing that I liked the most, especially the bar at the entrance.

Rushed away from our table by the waiter who wanted the table back for the next party after 1.5 hours. Still eating deserts. No time for coffee. Disappointing.

Great decor and great atmosphere. Staff very friendly and professional. Food was good but we had an issue with one of the dishes but was taken off the bill which was good customer service.

Lovely meal, great service and atmosphere but let down by the limit on meal time, almost all restaurants you have a 2 hour limit but to make a límit based on party size is ridiculous!!

Food was exceptional. Relaxed open environment. We ate there twice it was so good. They have a dessert (for2) that is a must have. The service is none pressured and they pay attention to you. I wish they had a place in Oregon, we would go there a lot.

The restaurant and service was perfect. This pizza and chicken dishes were lovely, but unfortunately the pasta dishes were not very nice and I've cooked better at home. Consequently the meal out was not good value.

Firstly, staff are so lovey and attentive. We left our phone on table and they came running out down dale street to hand it back to us! Food was delish and fresh, loads of family’s in there too which was lovely.

After 1 hour and 15 minutes we were told that we can't have the desert menu and we should please go to the bar to finish our drinks. They even took away the plate while my Mom was eating the last slice of Pizza. Very poor booking management. We had a reservation for 2 hours with 4 people. I like the Riva very much for food and also the Service was good the last couple of times. Just that one time was very disappointing...

From the warm greeting as we arrived at reception we were treated royally by every member of staff! Peter the Head Bar Man, our waitress and the host who greeted us were so friendly and helpful. Unfortunately we had terrible service and meal here, its very busy, they brought us the wrong wine, left us unattended for long periods, failed to fully clear table after service, did not offer us desert menu. We had Sunday lunch and were brought a plate of chicken and potatoes, repeatedly asked were the veg was to several waiters and none came back to us until on the 4th attempt 20 minutes later were told they had run out and they would bring us more potatoes! At this point we had finished our meal and then sat for further 25 minutes waiting for Deseret menu, when waiter finally came we gave up and asked for the bill, the tables around us all seemed to be having issues also. I wont be going back.

From being greeted with warm smiles and the fast efficient service, we truly enjoyed our evening. We have dined at Riva blu multiple times over the past couple of years and it only appears to be getting better! I try my best every time not to order the lasagne, but it’s that good I cannot resist! The beef carpaccio is one of our favourites! The atmosphere is always fantastic and the team appear to love being there. We always enjoy a cocktail afterwards in the bar and again… did not disappoint. We are already planning a return visit. Thank you so much!

Great restaurant, food is very reasonable and very tasty. Wine is reasonable too, service is outstanding, very attentive staff and happy to help with any requirements.

Great atmosphere, amazing service as usual. Steak was cooked to perfection however there was a thimble of sauce so that’s the only thing I would comment on. Overall amazing dining experience
