We pride ourselves in offering great atmosphere for family and friends. Deva and Ivan (the husband and wife team) wanted to offer here in Playa Vista a little piece of Italy and brought wonderful recipes along for their guests to enjoy.

I'm willing to blame this experience on a new chef who hopefully will be taught how to cook pasta al dente. The pappardelle bolognese I was served was so overcooked as to be inedible--especially because it was so soon after my return from vacation in Italy--and there was not enough sauce. Shockingly, they don't serve coffee. Lesson learned: request an Americano--espresso with hot water--which they DO serve. I'm willing to give them another try, but not soon.

I like this place because of the food but the service is certainly a hit or miss. We made a reservation indoor because of my elderly mom and they overbooked the indoor seating area so we got booted into the patio which was really cold. My mom ended up coughing all night as a result. Service was also slow too. I was a former server in my prior life and it’s really important to make sure you tend to your tables. I will still go because it’s close by and has good food but the restaurant really needs to figure out how to accommodate for when they have multiple tables.

All the food was delicious. The chopped salad is excellent as was the eggplant parm, the steak entree and the pizza.

Ritrovo has great dishes and being located across from concert park in Playa Vista is a great location for a relaxed lunch or dinner!

What a delightful surprise our experience was. The food was outstanding and the service was great. We were very pleasantly surprised. this is a wonderful neighborhood gem for Playa Vista.

I've been several times and the food is good, not too heavy, and generous portions. I usually go with the fish but the pizzas are delicious as well. The last time we were there the restaurant was definitely under-staffed. It took us much longer than usual to get our food but the staff was definitely hustling. (just one of those nights ) If you get cold easily, I would recommend getting a reservation and requesting indoor seating. However, there seems to be plenty of heat lamps outdoors.
