    Great food like always. Most of us got the octopus and it was delicious, the meat tender, the sauce paired lovely. My boyfriend got the Amish chicken, and that was amazing as well. Had family in town for my sisters graduation, and they’re a bunch of noisy Puerto Ricans, staff was accommodating and our waiter was even able to help translate a couple of things because he was bilingual as well. 10/10. They never let me down.

    Overall a very disappointing experience. Our server was inattentive and condescending. The tortellini and goat cheese tart were great but the vegetarian sampler was very lackluster and disappointing, especially for the price. We were charged for top shelf liquor despite never being asked our liquor preference and ending up being charged $57 for two cocktails.

    We went to Rioja, prior to our play at the DCPA and to celebrate our 22nd wedding anniversary, and we were not at all disappointed as everything was SPECTACULAR! Britain was our ever professional server and sommelier. Despite everything being so perfect the truffle tortelloni was a stand out...PURE HEAVEN! Do NOT miss the opportunity to get this.....you will NOT regret it!!!

    Rioja has to be one of the best restaurants in Denver! Service was excellent and food divine. My spouse had the halibut, which came in a beautiful spring herbs and vegetables with Calabrian pepper broth. The herb, vegetable broth itself was amazing. But even better, was the artichoke tortelloni, a light, delicate goat cheese pasta, that felt like you were eating a creamy champagne. Our waiter later told us that dish had won James Beard two years in a row. Wines, even by the glass were excellent, showing a real knowledge of great wines. I don’t often say this, but don’t miss this place if you truly love great food.

    Simply an exquisite night out on our first night in Denver. Our food was superb and service by Britain was impeccable. The vibe is so casually elegant and we enjoyed the dining area that seemed off from the main dining - just a great space to enjoy dinner. There is a well chosen international wine list with great Spanish selections. We added a half portion of the nettle fagiolini to share because the housemade pastas are specialties. So well worth it. It was an amazing dish to eat and stunning in presentation with fresh peas and pea tendrils. Also recommend the delicious Berkshire pork chop and the halibut. The desserts were so tempting and we thoroughly enjoyed the fig beignets and orange-scented cannoli. A truly memorable meal that was worth all the calories.

    The food at Rioja was excellent as it has been in the past. The ambience was also good as always. The only disappointment was the service which substantially less attentive than in years past. I might have expected a slight decline in service if the restaurant had been very crowded. However, at 4:30 P.M. on Mother’s Day that was not the case. Both my wife and I noticed the difference and remarked on it afterwards.

    Cute restaurant, good brunch, and bad service. We came in for brunch and the restaurant was about half full and we were barely checked on for service. Our waitress spilled a latte when putting it on the table, splashing about the top 1/4 out and didn't offer to remake it or even bring a fresh serving dish for the messy cup. My friend never drank the latte because it was dripping everywhere and the waitress never addressed it when she came back the only time to drop our check after originally taking our order.
