    The last time I was at Rioja I was blown away. Everything was outstanding. This time, everything was good. The food was not hot when it arrived, my halibut was a bit overcooked, and my partner's shortribs were a bit dry. Still good, just not as good as we had remembered. Might have been just us, as the place seemed buzzy and the atmosphere was lovely. Service was attentive and quick.

    Rioja is the perfect place for a nice meal during a night out. The dishes are beautiful creative, and delicious. They make a lavender sourdough that is absolutely divine! Our server, Jeremiah was very helpful, knowledgeable, and hospitable. We live out of town and always try to visit Rioja when we come to Denver.

    We come to Rioja regularly when we attend evening events in Denver. The food is always creative and very delicious. The service is excellent.

    Excellent experience and reasonably priced. I took one star for the food just because I felt like there wasn’t enough variety but everything we tried was top quality. I will say the service is really what shined here. 6/5 stars easily. The noise level was a little loud I thought but not too unreasonable.

    The presentation of the food was great, however, the flavors didn’t deliver. For the prices being charged, we expected more depth of flavor. Some food was served luke warm even with there being a long wait for a few of our dishes. Some pros were being in the square was nice and our waitress was very friendly.

    The service was slow but the manager comped our main dinner because of the delay. The food was excellent and we enjoyed the dinner.

    Brunch before the theatre was perfect! My friend had the breakfast bowl with shrimp, and I had the Benedict . Both were excellent! And service was terrific.
