This was our first visit to Richard's but it won't be our last. The service was perfect in both the bar and in the dining room. The servers were personable and professional. The food was excellent as well. We will be returning. Can't believe we didn't know about the place since my wife is an Idaho native and we've been here a long time.

This place was SOOOO good! I had the prosciutto wrapped chicken and it was by FAR the best chicken I’ve had in a long time. Everything food wise was really fantastic. My server Giovanni was fantastic! His service was outstanding and he had a very personable way about him. You would be doing yourself a disservice if you didn’t at least think about coming here. Well done everyone!

We have had very nice dinners at Richard’s over the years. Last night was not one of them. We had a lovely table by the window, and despite being full, the noise level was fairly low. The server was attentive in the beginning. Our guests arrived a little later than we did, and the server was good at taking drink orders and describing the specials. Our dinner order was taken as the drinks were delivered. We waited over an hour for our entrees to be served. In the meantime, we did have an appetizer and salads. We didn’t see our server again for some time. When we flagged her down to ask where our dinners were, she said “we’re pacing your dinner.” Our entrees were served 40 minutes after our salad. I ordered the lamb shank. It was tough, grisly, over done, and definitely didn’t fall off the bone as I would have expected. I couldn’t eat it. My husband shared half of his dinner with me. When we got the check, it was incorrect, we were charged for drinks we didn’t have.

Apps and dinner entrees were good and a good price point. Fried oysters app was excellent. Blackened cod and ribeye pork were tasty. Drinks were well prepared and the service was great. First time eating here and will be back for sure.

We had a delicious meal and were impressed with the helpful and attentive service. All food ordered was delicious. Enjoyed the goat cheese cheesecake which I had never seen before on a menu. We had an conversation of depth in the quiet table environment while the bar goers were having a blast. Great spot.

This was the most amazing experience we have enjoyed in a long time. I searched out best restaurants in Boise and Richards popped right up on that list. Having never heard of it nor been there, I immediately checked it out and was excited to see a delicious menu selection. Here is where it went from good to amazing. I reached out on Open Table, made a reservation and a special request. We wanted to be seated without menus. As well, for the experience to be at the Chefs desires, food, wines, the whole meal. The staff reached out to me via text and a call. I was high up in the sky traveling home for this dinner experience, so it was perfect to receive the text reply via Open Table on the planes wifi. We worked out a few selective need to know items for the services safety and food handling and away they went planning out our evening. On arrival the table was reserved and as asked, we were seated without menus. Our server Jovani came and introduced himself and the plan for the evening. The Chef and staff created such an enjoyable atmosphere and presentation of foods, wines, and of course perfect cocktails and desert. Not one item we knew of before hand. Each presentation a complete surprise, stunning flavors and smells, and what a night! Hats off for the Chef and Jovani for providing an experience so worth having, we will be coming back for more.

Wonderful service, fabulous bartender, great atmosphere. The dish I had, pappardelle with meatballs, was dominated by a bacon flavor. The pasta and tomato sauce were lovely.

Would give 10 stars if I could! The quality and taste of the food was amazing, the service was fantastic, atmosphere was great. So happy we tried it, definitely our new favorite restaurant.

Richard's is a Boise gem of a restaurant. Always great food and fresh ingredients. Tried something completely new last night. It was delicious! Service prompt and friendly. Will be back very soon.

I can always rely on Richard's for a fine meal with fine service in an inviting atmosphere. The menu and specials are wonderful, and preparation and presentation exceptional. What more can I say?

A wonderful Easter Brunch! The Scrambled Egg Sando & Capital City Breakfast were both delicious. The service was excellent as well.

Went for brunch. - The service was slow and inattentive. We ordered and received our drinks in a reasonable time then waited 25min before we saw our waiter again to order. Then waited an additional 30min for any food to arrive. - We ordered a crispy chicken sando served with waffles instead of a roll. The waffles was huge and came with a 1 chicken tender as the meat. Cost $18 - We also ordered the salmon cakes served with a salad and pineapple mango salsa. The salmon cakes were the size and thickness of a McDonald’s burger patty. Super fishy, didn’t come with the pineapple salsa and the salad dressing was watered down and tasteless. $19. The rest of the food was unimpressive and overpriced. I would skip the cost of this restaurant and find someplace that knows the value of salt, quality ingredients and service.

Outstanding Easter brunch. Glazed ham steak delicious. New item Rosemary and cheddar waffles with fried chicken was excellent. Great flavor! Superb service!!

Our food just wasn’t good. The halibut starter was dry and there was too little sauce, the scallop was good but the purée was totally bitter and over spiced, and the pasta was meh. So disappointing as we have had delicious meals there in the past. Will wait for a chef turnover before dining there again.

We have been to Richard’s several times. Each time, oddly, it seems to get even better than the prior visit. We really enjoyed the Wagyu last night. Outstanding! Our server was outstanding. She was professional while keeping our experience fun. Bravo, bravo! Thank you!

Very nice evening at Richard’s. Food was very good. We were there somewhat early in the evening so they weren’t super busy which was nice. Our server, Adam, was very attentive and helpful. We definitely plan to go back.
