Went to Revivalist for Mother’s Day. It was so great!! In the food wasteland that is Huntsville, Revivalist stands out in all the best ways! I got the lobster and grits (from the Mother’s Day menu) and our mom got the Jackson breakfast. Delicious- all around. Great, attentive service without giving the “hovering” vibe. No detail was too small and our server was just amazing! The price matches the quality in every sense!

Went there for Mother's Day treat for my wife. We were promptly seated and met our waiter soon afterwards. We asked for coffee with cream and Splenda and he brought coffee. We had to ask three times for the Splenda. I ordered the simple bacon and eggs meal which was prepared the way I asked. The one slice of toast I received was dry and I had to ask a couple of times to get some jam. 18 dollars for bacon and eggs (plus 20% service charge) is a bit pricey for what I received.

I would rate this restaurant as just being OK. It was loud inside. The beet salad was fantastic but the filet was not hot and an inferior cut of meat, not as tender as you would expect a $53 filet. We also had the salmon and it was good but nothing to rave about. Overall, the food was overpriced for the quality.

The food was not good. Steak was tough, fries were soggy and cold, broccoli tasted charred and like gas/propane, and the service was inattentive.

Great Sunday Brunch. Atmosphere was light and comfortable, service was efficient and attentive. Food was excellent.

We booked an early table (5:30pm) as we had an event to attend so the restaurant was fairly quiet but patrons started filtering in as we ate. Ambience was good and the service was exceptional. We ordered appetizers and cocktails first (Wedge Salad and Crab and Shrimp Hushpuppy) and all were great. For entrees we ordered the Scallops and the Duck. Scallops were perfectly cooked but the Duck was a little under seasoned. The accompanying vegetables were fantastic however! I can definitely recommend Revivalist for a great date night!

Our waitress was really terrible. We had a party of 8. She did not check on us, when she walked by us, she would tilt her head away from us so we had to call out to get more water. She would insert herself into our conversation and made an inappropriate joke to our 13 yr old. The apps were good but 5 in our party ordered the steak frites and no one liked it. It was cold and undercooked. We ordered my daughter’s medium and it was rare. We asked them to cook it more and it came back slightly more done but more cold than it had been. Definitely not worth the $700 bill.
