It is a very popular restaurant and the restaurant is spacious and full of energy. The host was professional and we were sat promptly. We waited for a bit because the restaurant was busy. Our server was very nice but he could not tell us the type of meat of the butcher's cut. It was not his fault but it just reflected the lack of training to the staff. We ordered the burrata as appetizer and pasta and cheeseburger as entrees since we could not get the answer about the butcher's cut so we did not want to spend the money on the potential uninteresting meat. The burrata dish which was ok but I'd not recommend it because there were too many elements and did not come with any bread. The apricot was not ripe, the sauce was too sweet and the fennel was cut too thick. The cheeseburger($22) was mediocre, a shake shack's burger with the plate. I made a mistake and added the scallops(3 scallops for $12) on the spegetti dish($27). The dish would be much better without the scallops. The favor of scallops actually ruined the dish.

I love eating at Revival. I am never disappointed and going with friends is always fun. My burger is consistently cooked as I like to eat it and I like that the vegetable starters change seasonally. Last night the flavor of the artichoke hearts was deliciously original. There is always something on the menu for my vegan friends. What can I say, I'm a fan of the wait staff and the food. I appreciate that Revival is farm-to-table and they use organic ingredients.

We loved our King Salmon dish. The elements combined for wonderful flavors and textures. The only issue was the salmon was well done rather than medium as promised. Our server was quick to see the condition of the fish and took care of us with topping off our wine glasses and covering our dessert choice. The latter was a delicious Basque cheesecake. Our experience is that the food at Revival is quite consistent in its high quality and great preparation. The salmon being overcooked was a surprising exception.

We regularly eat at Revival because it’s convenient and the food and service have always been good. Last night experience, though has made us reconsider returning there. The service was not at all good. We ordered salads, but they brought the wrong salads to us. Returned. Very difficult to get our waiter’s attention, almost like he wasn’t interested in taking care of us. The food was ok, not up to par, but still good. Revival is always very noisy, largely because it’s a big room with lots of hardscape and music too loud. I think we’ll give it a rest and try some other places, sorry to say.

We always love the cocktails and food here but twice we have been served so late that we have to rush off to Berkeley Rep with only minutes to eat our dinner. we told our server that we needed to leave at 7:40 for show. Arrived at 6 PM, entrees ordered at 6:30, served at 7:30. The starters came quickly. They gave us a discount, but we really did not enjoy our rushed dinner. Maybe just get drinks and starters.

Our first visit to Revival was amazing! Drinks were great, food was delicious and our server, JD, was outstanding! Can’t wait to come back!

Very expensive for food which is just okay. $45 for a small plate of vegetable pasta with 5 prawns is $$$$, so you expect it to be stellar. It's not. None of the food was actively bad, though the beet starter came close, but for $150 a head it ought to be better.
