If zero stars were an option I would’ve picked that for service. Extremely poor & even though the food was good it could not overcome the awful service.

Excellent food. Both dinners were well prepared, plated, seasoned and overall delicious. We both had trays. Pulled chicken and 1/2 rack ribs. Server was excellent. I enjoyed the meal enough to not think about how much I miss Masa. The restaurant that previously lived here.

This was our second time here and I don't think they had live music the last time. I love the food and drinks here. Reasonably priced, good portions and it tastes good. Server was fine and food came pretty quickly. My one disappointment was that they had live music, and if I knew I would not have gone. The main problem was the amplification overpowered the space and we had a really hard time conversing over it. The singer/guitarist was more on the folk spectrum, which made it even more baffling that it was cranked up so high. She was just ok really, and it would have been fine at a normal volume without all that volume.

We booked a reservation to this great local place. Great atmosphere with a singer who was very good. Everyone on staff was super friendly and helpful. Very good barbecue food which was made with good quality. Good beer selection and cocktails.

Biscuits are amazing! Wings are ok good - however you only get 6 fyi. The half chicken order isn’t what you think - it’s a half chicken but cut into pieces with no wing to speak of and the meat was kinda soft - maybe a bit too soft for our taste. The salad I chose had cooked brussels not shaved brussels which made the salad a bit mushy - but overall taste was good otherwise. Waitress was very nice but quite soft spoken - hard to hear - and she forgot to order my salad. Overall good exprience but maybe we just aren’t hard core BBQ lovers.

Honestly, this BBQ was just ok. Ribs were cold and lacked flavor, brisket overly fatty, no smoke ring and had an odd smoke flavor. Not a fan of the sauces. Not likely to be a repeat on food alone. Otherwise, prices good, wait staff nice/hard working, but two order omissions and gave my receipt & cc card to another table by mistake.

This place was an unexpected surprise. It give southie local bar vibes but the foood is amazing. Best BBQ I’ve had in Boston, as a southern guy I’ve been looking for it. The pork ribs fell off the bone the tenders were huge hot and juicy, sides honestly stole the show though. Potato salad, beans, Mac and cheese all tasted amazing. Had to top it off with the biscuits with the Yes honey butter. Can’t wait to come back!

On the plus side, our waitress was terrific. On the minus side, the food was a bit underwhelming whereas the live music was overwhelming. We actually had to switch to another table further away from the performer to continue the dinner conversation. Maybe it was just the wrong night for us or the wrong place for the "reunion" we were hoping to have. We'll give it another chance at some point in the future.
