Servant à souper à tous les jours, un brunch Jazz le dimanche et à déjeuner le lundi, Restaurant R’evolution est la première coentreprise des chefs primés John Folse et Rick Tramonto, offrant des réinterprétations modernes et imaginatives de la cuisine Cajun et Créole classique. Ancré dans les diverses influences historiques et culturelles de la Louisiane, le menu propose non seulement des interprétations du chef de classiques de la Nouvelle-Orléans, tels que le gombo, po' boys et beignets, mais aussi de nouvelles créations mettant en valeur des ingrédients auxquels Chef Folse réfère comme étant «le garde-manger du sol du marais». We had a wonderful time celebrating a big event. We took over the wine room, which is a private room. The staff was great, the food excellent and closing the doors gave us the privacy to have a wonderful time.

I was a little out of my depth since I was unfamiliar with fine dining but the servers and the chef got me through. The food was excellent. Highly recommend!

Exceptional service from Travis & Laura. They truly helped to make our first time at the restaurant a wonderful experience. Appys - death by gumbo & seafood gumbo, blue crab beignets & short rib boudin (delicious). Dinner kitchen offered to give us 1/2 orders of lobster gnocchi (delicious) & tagliatelle, rack of elk (delicious), grilled redfish (delicious) & short rib (delicious). Will definitely be back!!

Overall, a pleasant experience. The food was prepared very nicely. The salad was absolutely exceptional but the veal chop was a bit fatty. The servers were polite but they missed the mark. My friend had a salad and didn't get his food until 15 minutes after I got mine. They didn't really explain this but just sat one dish down and walked away. And then for the bill they didn't really do anything about it. For me this is unacceptable. I don't understand how someone could order cold food and it comes out 15 minutes after the hot food. They didn't say anything until I addressed it with them. Fortunately when I saw a waiter standing around and looking where the salad belonged I called him over and he realized it was for our table or we would have waiting even longer. How could it be possible that he didn't know where he was delivering this salad? When something like this happens in a fine dining restaurant they need to address it up front and not make some lame excuse about it. Which is exactly what our server did and obviously he knew the salad was going to be delayed but never said a word.

My first time to this restaurant and decided to take my wife and family there for Mothers Day (I am a local and typically stay away from French Quarter establishments). We could not have had a better experience and will definitely be back soon. From the time we arrived to we left the staff could not have been more attentive. From the greeting at the door, the flower for my wife from the front desk and our two servers everyone made us feel welcomed and attended to our needs. The food was exceptional, many great choices with all delicious. Restaurant was beautiful also. Definitely made one of my favorite restaurant list.

This restaurant never disappoints and is one of our very favs. The food is wonderful, great cocktails, and the service is the kind that you don't get often enough anymore. Isaac and Kevin were our servers and did a great job. If you haven't tried the death by gumbo or the crabmeat beignets, you should! We can't go there without getting both of those. The only reason I gave 4 stars out of 5 for ambience is because it seems like the restaurant has gotten louder over the years and it can sometimes be hard to hear the people you're talking with - not the restaurant's fault. If you are looking for fine dining with great service, I highly recommend R'Evolution!

We had such an amazing time and huge part of that was our server Travis. He is hilarious and so detailed in his description of the food available. We had a hard time selecting he made everything sound great. We had a wonderful meal and did not stop smiling the entire evening. Thanks Travis! Oh and I do not know who made the drinks but the bar staff is awesome!

Amazing restaurant right off Bourbon. Had drinks at the bar before dinner. Cocktails were unique and well-balanced with plenty of options. Dining room is quiet and elegant. Menu had a large number of options without being overwhelmed.

We had a lovely dining experience! We were in a slight rush to make our riverboat cruise, and the staff was very accommodating. Definitely try the Cajun and cane sugar butter on your biscuits. Our entrees and desserts were fab! I highly recommend.

Kevin was our lead server. He and his team were attentive and personable. I wanted red wine with my rack of elk and was undecided. He opened two reds for me to try before making my selection. My spouse and I each had the elk, cooked perfectly medium rare, and braised greens. Biscuits and brioche rolls are served with three composed butters, all good. We shared a scoop of blackberry sorbet and were also given three small sweets to complete our meal. There is a small stool by each chair to hold purses and hats, which is a thoughtful touch. The dining room bright and elegant. R'evolution also has an elegant bar with a good happy hour, where we enjoyed a well made cocktail before dinner and on two other days. If Marlee is your bartender, consider yourself lucky. She remembers everyone, even when she knows you are just visiting.

Everything was excellent. Deshaun did a great job. I visit each time I’m in New Orleans and always it’s great. The death by gumbo is amazing and this time I had the elk which was excellent as well. You also have an amazing wine list.

Total gastronomic experience -celebrating the art of food!!Appetizer salad looks as good as tastes,crawfish beignet burst of flavor & melts in mouth,black ink lobster gnocchi luscious & red fish crisp & delish.Plating was feast for eyes!The waiter an Alec Baldwin double & server team went out of their way to please .Were celebrating 2 birthdays & was a real treat!!A perfect conclusion to an incredible Jazz Fest weekend full of joyful music & amazing food!🎶💕

Food was incredible and sitting at the counter table was great to see a small portion of how the kitchen works. It’s possible I had just a new waiter but the service was slightly off. The couple at the end of the table had was looked like a wonderful waiter that explained the menu and was very helpful.

It's rare that I give out 5 stars across the board but R'Evolution always deserves it. Shrimp Ceviche appetizer was delicious and very refreshing. My Blue Crab Beignets were just a touch too oily but still delicious. My filet mignon was made perfectly to order with a special sauce that I requested. My husband had the short ribs which were so tender they fell of the bone. Deserts were decadent. I could have eaten my Petit Gatrau twice. Service was attentive but not overbearing. A perfect evening.

Food was amazing, the Chateaubriand with crab was like hot butter and just melted. Service was attentive without being over the top and the spacing between courses was beautifully timed.

My wife and I enjoyed our appetizers. For our entrees, I had the Veal Rouge, my wife, the Lobster Black Gnocchi; both fantastic. In fact, this was the best veal I had since I dined on a similar dish at the Rainbow Room in Manhattan, many years ago. We loved the ambiance, in all the rooms. Of our two waiters, the head waiter was much better, so 1 star removed. The girl was mediocre. Nevertheless, will definitely be back.

Nice atmosphere and attentive wait staff. Food was disappointing. I expected more innovative tastes. We had the blue crab beignets, heavy on cream cheese and light on the crab. Kinda of like Orlean's crab rangoon. My wife had the gnocchi, which was good, but very light on the lobster. I had the visiting fish, the halibut. It was well prepped but lacked any pizazz. The wine list was extensive, but overpriced compared to other restaurants in the area. I would not go back. There are better choices in the area.

Travis and Erica shared our smooth service. Tasty sazerac from the bar. There’s a huge wine list but not for us this time. We had seafood gumbo, crawfish beignets, shrimp with Cajun buttered corn and omg the bread pudding. We will return, I made my open table rez two months before our trip!

The ambiance is typical NOLA elegant. The oysters were the perfect size and the mains (Short rib for my companion and Duck L'orange for me) absolutely spectacular. This is one of the best in New Orleans.

Kevin and team were great. Helped suggest lighter options and were spot on. Even went above and beyond to make sure our to go order was correct bc we couldn’t finish everything in the restaurant. It’s nice to have service that cares! Get the quail gumbo!!

Everything was sublime, as usual, at R'Evolution. From the moment you slept through the speakeasy like discreet but grand entrance into the cozy bar, and walk through to the restaurant overlooking the courtyard, the experience is first class. The service is warm and welcoming without being overly attentive. The dishes were a treat for the taste buds and beautifully plated. Everything makes you feel pampered, yo the final complimentary treats at the end. I would recommend to anyone living or visiting this city when the occasion calls for a special treat.

Chef John Folse has extensive experience in the food and beverage industry, having opened A Taste of Louisiana restaurants worldwide, including in Japan, Beijing, Hong Kong, Seoul, Bogota, Taiwan, Rome, and Moscow. About 10 years ago, he opened Restaurant R'evolution, so we were thrilled to celebrate my birthday there with my family. It was our first time, and we weren't disappointed. Servers Kevin and Rome took excellent care of us throughout the meal. They also impressed us with their reasonably priced and extensive wine list, which even impressed my daughter, who's a wine director. My daughter enjoyed her turtle soup, and we all loved the delicious Spring Equinox salad. The oysters on the half shell were fantastic, though a bit smaller than Felix's, but tastier. The Blue Crab beignets were small but flavorful. I couldn't decide on two pasta dishes, but Kevin suggested I pick two, and he graciously gave me half portions of Butter Poached Lobster Black Gnocchi and Frutts De Mer Tagliatelle, both of which were delicious and perfectly sized. For our main courses, my family ordered the Fire Roasted Short Rib, Gulf Shrimp & Cajun Buttered Corn, and Duck À L’orange, all of which were amazing. The crispy Brussels sprouts and whipped potatoes were also tasty sides. The Strawberry Mousse Entremet dessert was divine, and both Kevin and Rome surprised me with their favorite desserts, each with candles—truly amazing. I'm so glad we celebrated my birthday here, and I'm already looking forward to coming back in December.

We visited for the last night of our honeymoon in New Orleans and had an absolutely amazing time. In a city with so many options for great food, many of which we tried, this was the absolute stand out.

We had a wonderful experience, our service team was attentive, knowledgeable and had great energy. Menu is creative, diverse and contemporary. Solid wine list, nice selection and price points. We most definitely recommend this place to anyone interested.
