For all of February, we will be participating in NorthShore Restaurant Month featuring our first ever Prefix menu!

Renga Tei is a Japanese restaurant specializing in simple sushi, sashimi and authentic traditional recipes. Guests can choose from a variety of traditional offerings, including various bento boxes for lunch, saba (mackerel) in teriyaki or shio style, katsu curry, udon or soba noodle dishes and a variety of fresh sushi. Renga Tei visitors can enjoy the flavors of the agedashi tofu or the vegetable tempura for a vegetarian friendly meal. We offer daily specials including Hamachi Kama Shioyaki or Char-broiled Yellowtail collar. Don't forget to add refreshing beer or sake to complete your meal!

We have been coming to Renga-Tei restaurant since it 1st opened. Having changed owners within the last year, they have slowly been transitioning menus & staff, we are now pleased with how it has evolved. It is easy to make a reservation through Open Table. The food was delicious & a good menu selection A fixed menu option available also.

New owners doing a great job. Glad because this restaurant has been a long time gem. Happy owner is from Kyushu-fukuoka, my mom’s homeland so food is very comforting! Delicious. Thanks!

Our FAVORITE Japanese neighborhood restaurant. They use high quality ingredients and everything taste homemade and full of flavor. We always get the hamachi collar, katsudon and nigiri and maki rolls. Our son loves their teriyaki beef. The service is always friendly and warm. The ambiance is nice with a mix of people of all ages and backgrounds. This restaurant is good for groups, dates and individuals. Highly recommend it.

Prices have gone up quite a bit, not as good value as it used to be but service and food are good

The food and the service are as good as ever. Love going to Renga Tei, however the prices are getting a little high to go as often.
