We waited TWO hours for food. My mother is allergic to tomatoes. She asked the server to let them know not to cook the shrimp with it of course tomatoes were in her food. Chicken and steak were dry. I was excited to try this place because of instagram but never again

They served four nearby tables their food before us. It took so long we had to stop and ask a waiter what happened, only then did they submit our order to the kitchen. Appreciate the free cocktails for the mistake, but still an unfortunate experience.

Wonderful as always! I hope to be back soon for the sea bass as well as my fave, the tuna tartare. Salads aee delicious as well. Thank you!!

Always a great experience at Renaissance Harlem; delicious food, strong drinks and the DJ plays all of the classics. Overall great vibe! I will continue to visit.

I went to this place after church with my 94 year old mother in a wheelchair, and imagine my surprise at being ignored by the incompetent staff for 40 minutes. 40 minutes in we received water, no bread nor a request to take our order. The “waiter” for that area walked past us to wait on a table of people who were seated long after us, oh did I mention that I had to ask for a menu. The so-called manager was a joke. He was rude and dismissive, and clearly incapable of leading his unprofessional staff. At the hour mark a young lady actually took our order, however our food still was not there 25 minutes later. With my mother starving, I grabbed her and left to find a real restaurant. The rude, ignorant “manager” held the door as we left without so much as an apology for their trash service. I believe in supporting black businesses as I am black, but not this one. After the fact I discovered that my story is not unusual, this place needs to close.

Food & Service was amazing!! Non stop Saturday party brunch vibes which can get a bit loud. The unlimited mimosa’s had no kick… so focus on the sangria or the rum punch.

Visited this place because of Instagram and was extremely disappointed. The place was pretty empty but the service was slow. The food was mediocre at best but the 2 for 1 drinks were the highlight

The place was alright, instagram definitely hyped it up. The food and drinks were good but the service was meh! They definitely were short staffed and if they have a busy brunch hour they should have more servers.

I've been here in the past for brunch and the food was enjoyable. This particular night I tried the codfish fritters and ravioli, and I didn't like either at all. I am still willing to give the place another try because my friends loved their food and also the sangria was pretty good.

All of the food items we ordered were great except for the wings. We paid $16 for pre frozen, pre packaged pizzeria style wings. This restaurant should be making fresh wings.

Consistently flavorful and delicious dishes. This time I had the snapper special with jollof rice and spinach as my main and carrot ginger soup with cod fritters to start. The cod fritters were perfect: not greasy and not dry. My friend ordered a mocktail and asked to be surprised and she received a sorrel based drink that was perfect. As Jamaicans, we appreciate a good sorrel drink. The music was great as usual: not too loud but audible enough. Highly recommend this restaurant.

We waited over an hour for drinks and food to be served. Some people at the table were able to eat and finish their food before others were even served.

My girls and I did Saturday's brunch. Overall, our time there was good, but some things to consider are... ->Live DJ leaves around 6pm. So if you are seated in the outdoor area, there will be no music until 8pm, when the dinner shift DJ arrives. You will only be able to hear music from inside the establishment. ->Rum Punch is clearly a popular drink of choice, which means there may be a wait during your bottomless brunch. (We waited over 30 mins. for the new batch to be made). However, we were provided a drink on the house during the wait, and they did NOT take away from our 90 mins. time frame.

First time going to this place and it was great. The food was fantastic and delicious. I tried a ginger martini for the first time it was delicious. Overall would definitely recommend and I will definitely be going back!

Nice spot though looking on line it gave a more elegant atmosphere, it was my birthday I was celebrating when I arrived there I felt overdressesd, but myself n friends made it work!

Food wasn’t the best. I asked for my steak medium well. It was rare. Then it came back burnt. I order truffle Mac and cheese she brought me lobster Mac good thing I wasn’t allergic. I sent that back then got another order that was just noodles barely any cheese. The ladies night unlimited drink special sucks because the drinks are just sweet and weak. We had a reservation but when we got there she said they only had outside seating. It’s December I did not want to sit outside. I did not enjoy.

Really wanted to try this restaurant for a while and happy I got the chance. Initially the service was slow (the reservation was for a little early in the day so I think they were just setting up) and I was getting hungry and rum punch thirsty). After everything was straightened out we enjoyed the flavorful fresh seafood, amazing jollof rice and incredible rum punch. Definitely worth (several) future trips back!

Service was exceptionally slow, however the food was very tasty and served piping hot. The Host, Valentine was very friendly and did his best to accommodate our needs despite the slow service.

The wanted to sit my guest and I outside because they had a big party inside. On Sundays they don’t have a live DJ and they resorted to playing music from a phone. There was two different types of music playing at the same time. Extremely an annoying time.

I came here for Saturday brunch. The food and service was outstanding. We had unlimited rum they kept our pitchers full. My only issue was that it wasn't as live as I thought it would be. There was a DJ there, but the music was low. I saw their Instagram page where ppl were dancing in their seats n the music was louder. I liked the vibe, don't get me wrong but I was expecting a more "turnt up" spot.

DJ was good but if there was no DJ then this place wasn’t very good. It took us 30 mins to get our drinks (every round) and our food portions was comparable to a child’s meal— it wasn’t very good either. There are definitely better places in Harlem for brunch.
