Located just a few meters from the Duomo in Florence, Regina Bistecca is a restaurant dedicated to the true “bistecca alla fiorentina” and traditional Florentine food culture.
For over 140 years the same address has been the location for the antiquarian bookseller Gonnelli, which has been in the same family for four generations and has now relocated.
Although nowadays offering something different, the objective was to preserve and maintain the unique atmosphere of a historical place in which to offer a gratifying experience merging food, art, and history.

    Amazing steak and experience. Our favorite dinner in Florence. Our party of 7 had our own private floor upstairs and it was wonderful.

    I have eaten here several times. The service was great, except for a couple of manager types that seemed to be more interested rules than customer comfort. (We had come a few minutes early and rather than let us wait at our table for the restaurant to open we had to cool our heels in the tiny entry way. (Going outside was not an option as it was raining heavily.) The food was great, except for the gnocchetti with anatra sauce, which was not as good. We will return.

    Incredible steak house - steak was so delicious. Wine and service were also amazing, we can’t wait to go back!

    My second time here and it didn’t disappoint. Charming building that was once a library. The best Bistecca Fiorentina that I’ve had and a great team that makes you feel special and comfortable at once.

    Bad service. Steak was overcooked twice and sides were served cold. Server disappeared and didn’t ask whether we needed anything else.

    Average to say the least. The food was definitely not worth the price, the first courses were just disappointing and the “best steak in the world” was a joke.The atmosphere was cold and the staff unfriendly. If you are in Florence just avoid it…

    Our experience here was great. Server, Joseph, made excellent suggestions on how to order our Florentine steaks and other options on the menu. He also made great wine suggestions in our price range. Carpaccio was incredible with truffle. Great experience, I would recommend this as a great option for a nice dinner in Florence for a Florentine steak.

    Amazing steaks and cuts , it was presented medium , the taste is amazing but a little bit chewy , Yousef our waiter was amazing and he elevated our experience to another level

    All dishes were delicious, service friendly and efficient, and the wine list is diverse with good options at all price levels. Ambiance was lively but not rowdy.

    Fantastic steak dining experience just metres away from the Duomo (but sheltered away from the tourist bustle). Sharply priced for a restaurant of its quality. If you fancy a decent steak in Florence, make sure you stop in here.
