We were a party of 4 and 2 of us had the Scallops. We felt that there was too much Chorizo and it over-powered the flavour of the Scallop. As for the main course, they were delivered before the starters had even settled and also plates had been removed and we would have preferred more of a gap between courses. Otherwise the food was enjoyable overall

Everything was quite tasty but we ordered 3 of the half chickens that were only just cooked through, bordering pink. We also ordered a medium rare steak that was closer to well done and a rare steak that was closer to medium well. Overall great atmosphere. Attentive staff and we had a great night but the food let it down.

$70 per head for NYE buffet! 5 hot dishes includingbthe veggies, one bowl of prawns and a couple of salads? Dry chicken, overcooked roast beef. Pathetic, the biggest rip off. Even still had half the breakfast buffet just left in place. I've never been so angry and disappointed that I wasted my money on this

I ordered steak and so the rest of the table decided to follow suit , We had been in Wagga Wagga for the weekend...… the steaks were next level and faultless. The potatoes were hard and possibly microwaved, and the cherry tomatoes were just that. The wild mushroom sauce was tasteless and not seasoned and you couldn't make them out. The steak was the worst I have ever had the the displeasure of tasting. The cook, not chef wasn't or hadn't cooked or been taught how to handle Beef. The ladies steaks were over done, tasteless and dry. My mate just ate his as he was starving and didn't want to cause a scene. I did mention this and my feelings regarding the meals to the waitress, to which she just smiled, I chose not to cause an issue. My wife mention to the waitress that is was terrible and the potatoes were hard and not cooked. We are not the type of people who complain, my wife didn't want to return the plate as she has heard of horror stories about food being tampered with etc. I let it go as I didn't want to make a scene in front of other guests in the restaurant, I should not have accepted it $240 totally not worth it at all. Casino restaurant in Canberra !!!!!!!

The food was very disappointing, beef cheek was tough and chewy and way over cooked! For the price we were expecting much better quality. Booked thinking we would have a nice dinner on our last night in Canberra but it was far from it.

My meal of prawn fettuccine was absolutely delicious and the cheese platter my friend and I shared was quite ample for the two of us. All in all, a nice dining experience.

The food was absolutely delicious but the restaurant was so cold. Service was not the greatest, esp considering the restaurant was only half full. If the temp had have been warmer it would have been a nice experience

Modern up to date hotel restaurant, friendly and efficient staff. Limited menu but good quality well presented food at a reasonable price. Fair range of wines to accompany your meal.

The service was excellent food was delicious and overall it was a delightful experience. We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights and each night we went to redsalt.

Great service, the staff were attentive and checked on our table regularly. The food was delicious, we all enjoyed our meals. Would definitely go back.

Food was delicious! Our dinner was bought out before our entre though and had to be taken back, but the staff were great and the food was very very tasty. Bit of a loud area once the restaurant started to fill up, so if you are after a quiet dinner you might want to request a table out of the way but otherwise a great meal and experience.

Breakfast - good experience with helpful and nice staff , we felt very welcomed. food is okay . Dinner- horrible. Food was not very good quality, I left more than half dish before I decided to leave the restaurant . However I don't like to judge the food, maybe it's just not my type. My biggest suggestion for your restaurant is to improve the service. First of all, it is very very awkward that you took us to sit very close to another table while there's plenty plenty of vacants. Second, Bad table service, I normally give 20% tips each time, sadly this time $0. after I paid bill I back to hotel room I realized she forgot to serve 2 dishes of desert , I back to reception to nicely recommend to improve the service, the lady at reception did not care about my feeling, only said sorry. My whole experience at redsalt dinner is 0/0. But breakfast staff has surprised me, they know what they are doing , they know how to do the job professionally. Thumbs up to them!

We were seated right next to the only other couple in the whole restaurant which was ridiculous. Food was ok. Very oily dressing on salad.

Delicious food. We had theatre reservations after dinner and service was efficient so we didn't have to worry about being late for the theatre. The bonus 20% off for theatre guests was much appreciated

Good service, good food. We were in a bit of rush to catch a show, food came out quick and we could leave on time. Very nice Martini Cosmo and espresso.

Overall we liked our meals, but they took too long to arrive & we cancelled our dessert which was a while coming. The little staff which were on duty were run off their feet, and really they just couldn't keep up with everyones orders.

Scotch fillet from grill was tough, chicken was great. Croissants at breaky are bread like, need to get proper butter croissant. Nice atmosphere and staff really try hard to give great service.

Booked via Opentable on 6 May, which turned out to be invalid as they do not have breakfast bookings. Nevertheless they accommodated us very well on Sunday 8 May. Erin was the principal restaurant host. Thank you

Biggest disappointment was that the menu on this site bore no resemblance to the mediocre menu when we arrived. There was little choice at all. The food was not bad - butternut pumpkin soup was very nice, steaks were nicely caramelised and cooked to order. But the bread with soup was rubbery and who wants soy lecithin with milk solids when you can have butter? Vegetables were ordinary. But they did have cream with coffee which was a plus.

We visited Redsalt before a show at the Canberra Theatre so were only wanting a light meal. We found the choices good for our needs, the staff were excellent and we all enjoyed our meals. It was a good start to our evening.

Staff were friendly to most patrons. The meal was delivered and the fries were undercooked, asked for them to be returned and cooked longer - when they returned they were still under cooked! It was a dark setting, staff were only friendly to certain patrons. One staff member was quite disruptive as she was over socializing with certain patrons and at times it was distracting. Not much on the menu.

Poor menu selection Understaffed - those available were very friendly Lacking any sort of restaurant feel - more like a lost pub environment Carpets in need of vacuuming Food was just ok Presentation was actually better than the meal itself Won’t be dining here again. We also visited the bar last night - suffice to say we won’t be returning. Friendly 1 staff member - ambience minus 0. Children allowed in this area?
