RedFarm brings a greenmarket sensibility to modern and inventive Chinese food and super-charged dim sum complemented by modern, rustic décor. Joe Ng’s menu takes a clean, fresh approach to Chinese food. Signature items include clever dim sum creations for which Ng is known and small plates: Pac Man dumplings; yuzu wasabi shrimp; mushroom spring rolls that evoke a chanterelle mushroom; and a sculptural chicken salad. Modern takes on classic main dishes includes remarkably tender marinated rib steak with steamed baby bok choy and spicy steamed sea bass.

Great food and good customer service. Family style but smaller portions - fried rice and noodles not huge only fed 2. Ended up ordering more portions.

One of the best experiences. I've dined here a couple times and it just keeps getting better. The menu has changed but the options are incredible. Our waitress was absolutely phenomenal- wish I knew her name to show gratitude but she made the experience 10x better

This was a favorite spot when we lived in NYC, so I was eager to try the Austin location. The menu was what I remembered—-thankfully they still had the grilled sea bass , a great dish! We also enjoyed Yakisoba noodles with vegetables, duck lettuce wraps, scallion pancakes, and soup dumplings. We had reserved patio seating but were seated in a booth near the bar which was fine, but the noise increased to a level such that conversation was getting more difficult by the time we finished our meal. Patio next time. Waiter seemed annoyed the entire evening, but the food arrived quickly .

I have eaten here three times and the food is really good. Of course you must try any of the dumplings- and their cocktails are really yummy. The manager always comes by to greet us, too. Great vibe.

We went to RedFarm not knowing what to expect because of some of the reviews. But I gotta tell ya we're so GLAD we did!! From the start Jenny the hostess with the mostess sat us. She was super sweet & friendly. Even though she was vegan and didn't eat meat she recommended some excellent dishes. Our waiter was Chris, he was great very attentive, friendly and helpful with recommendations. We started with a whisky drink which was basically a Japanese Old Fashion & My husband had the El Sabio. They were both delicious!! The yuzu foam on the El Sabio made my husband's drink. It was so delicious. We ordered the pork & crab soup dumplings, the 5 flavor chicken dumplings, the Yuzu Wasabi Shrimp and the duck noodles. It was so hard to choose what order everything was because everything was so flavorful. My favorite was the 5 flavor chicken dumpling. It was really tasty and with the topping of peanuts gave it a Thai flare. Crunchy and delicious! My #2 dish had to be the duck noodles. Which really could have been #1. They were big fat wide noodles like chow fun with sliced duck breast on top. They brought you a garlic chili sauce to add and the flavors were incredible. #3 were the crab & shrimp soup dumplings. Again great flavor. Lastly the Yuzu shrimp. Only 2 shrimp in an order so it's a small bite but the wasabi & yuzu sauce made the dish. They should give you more of the sauce on the side, it's that good. We met the manager Adrian. Super nice guy, down to earth friendly and genuine. Seems to really have RF interests at heart. From start to finish I'd highly recommend RedFarm. The food was delicious and has a nice atmosphere. It's a young crowd therefore it's on the louder side but I think that makes it fun & happening. Check it out and I'm sure that you'll be very happy that you did 😋🥳

Food allergy issue. Real trading issue. Server was told of food allergy at table. Food served with allergen with no info. My friend had attended soft opening and had same issues so we had not been in yet. Scary it’s still happening. Appreciate chef coming out to table!

I was super impressed with the layout, quick service and having a table where we didn’t have to shout. Food was delicious and our waiter was on top of It! Would definitely recommend.

Better than expected. I was hesitant to book my reservation due to the current ratings but we were pleasantly surprised. Yes, IT IS VERY LOUD inside. They graciously moved us to the patio, If not, there is a chance we would have left. It is that loud. Redfarm, please add sound panels inside or do something. That being said, the food was very good and the service was excellent. As someone who is GF, I was pleasantly surprised to see the clearly labeled menu and the various options. I usually struggle with Asian restaurants. No, it is not authentic, but they aren't trying to be. We really enjoyed all the dishes we ordered. We enjoyed some more than others, but they were all very good across the board. Also I did not find the prices to be as offensive as the many folks that commented. For five people, we spent a heck of a lot less than we do at other similar establishments. Overall, very good experience. I would definitely go back, but book a table on the patio only.

Food was good, service was nice, but could have done without the person on the street shouting profanities. The manager got him away but took the manager a bit to get there, meanwhile the man called everyone on the patio a bunch of racial slurs.

Cool place it is very loud in there and I am 25 and love to go out but it was genuinely like an echo chamber in there. The food was good but nothing I need to go back for!

It was my first visit and the food did not disappoint! Since there were only 2 of us, we only tried 3 dishes. I would like to come back with a bigger party so I can try more of the menu. My only complaint was the Rose we wanted was not available so we settled for a Sancerre, which was good but a little pricey. The patio was lovely and our server was very attentive. The manager came by to make sure everything was up to our satisfaction. I'll definitely be back!

Overall, I want to come back and try some other dishes that we didn't get to try on our first visit. That said, I think that they still have some kinks to work out at the Kitchen and the Host stand. We got there for Happy Hour so we got to try a few items off of that menu. We got the Crispy Beef, Spring Rolls, Duck Wraps, and the Rainbow Colored Vegetable Dumplings. I wouldn't get the Duck wraps again, they were fine but nothing special, not a whole lot different than any chicken lettuce wrap I have had anywhere else. Loved the Crispy Beef, will definitely get that again. We also tried off of the main menu the Long Life Noodles and the Truffle Scallion Pancakes. The Scallion Pancakes were tasty, but for the price I thought the portion was too small, they aren't giving you actual truffles, just truffle oil so... I was disappointed with the Long Life Noodles. I thought the sauce had very little flavor and the noodles were mushy. The Morel mushrooms were good, but there were only like 3 of them, and again, I just didn't think that the sauce added much to the dish. I would not get it again. Also, for $39 dollars, the dish should come out on point every time. I don't know if they messed up the sauce, but the noodles were definitely mushy and that should never happen at an establishment of this level. I will go back again to try some other dishes that I was very interested in. Hopefully the execution on those dishes will be better than the Long Life noodles were

Really wanted to like this spot, unfortunately I found the meal to be overpriced. Paid about $90 for a noodle dish, a bland desert mouse and 3 diet cokes. Also, be weary of ordering chicken lollipops, they come wrapped in shrimp and this isn’t disclosed in the menu. They did take the dish back since I let them know I can’t eat shellfish, but it would’ve been nice to know before placing the order. The food was mediocre at best, unfortunately. Service wise, our server was really attentive and pleasant.

It’s a very creative Asian restaurant, not authentic but the “twists” or “fusions” are PERFECT! Fried dumplings with curry, Peking duck with cranberry sauce, it wowed both of us during the meal!

Excellent food, amazing service! This is the second time I’ve been there. The first was the day before. I thought the food was so great that I had to bring my partner the next day. I’m excited to have a great addition to the downtown area.

Food was excellent. Lighting needs to be adjusted. Felt slightly industrial and ruined the ambiance. As far as the food quality, it's probably the best Chinese I've had in Austin. Really elevated and delicious. The chicken dumplings were the bomb.

Wide variety of vegetarian options along with Duck Chx, Pork. Nice selection of dim sum, portions were in 4’s vs. normal 6’s. Would visit again next time in town.

I’m gluten intolerant so I rarely get to eat Dim Sum. Having so many GF options that were also DELICIOUS was such a treat. The rest of the entrees were also so tasty and well prepared. We had a great time!!

I really did enjoy Red Farm, prices were steep but crispy chicken was perfect! I also got the egg noodles with veggies. Love that veggies were on the side so it didn’t make my noodles soggy. Great flavor. Took the rest to-go

Had a great dinner at Red Farm- food was truly outstanding! From the pastrami eggs to the Peking duck(best I have ever had) this is a place worth trying! I would say the only downside was that the service was a little slow. Hard to get another drink and waters refilled. They seemed a little understaffed so I don’t know if it was just the night we were there or they needed more help. Our server was really good and helpful about the menu and recommendations but she seemed a little stressed trying to get to her tables. I would definitely go back again to see if they have cleared that up because the food is worth it
