    All our expectations were met from the time we arrived. We arrived early for our reservation, but we seated anyway. I ordered a barrel old fashioned which was made to perfection. Hubby ordered a white wine to go with his local trout dish. I ordered bison steak. Both worked cooked to order. Sides were Yukon potatoes, asparagus. Cooked and seasoned perfectly. Waiter Brian was most accommodating and we left well satisfied and completely full. Recommend highly.

    Recommended to us by the folks at The Biltmore (because we stayed there on a slow night and options were limited), The Red Stag Grill is probably the best restaurant experience I ever booked through Open Table to date. A mod hunting lodge theme with suberb cuts of meat!

    Where to start? On a not-particularly busy night, it took 25 minutes to deliver a drink order. Decided not to order appetizers, so went straight to entrees. Our duck entree was ordered medium and delivered practically raw, rare at best. Of course, it was returned to the kitchen and then brought back quickly, but still not medium. How the original effort was plated and brought to the table by a restaurant with the reputation of a Red Stag Grill was beyond me. Our server was personable and friendly, and probably suspected things were not going as expected, so we were brought a comp dessert. I wasn't looking for a makegood, but this was not enough to overcome our disappointment. The evening was capped off with the check which had to be corrected. This was our third time dining here over the past few years, but this visit fell way below our expectations.

    Food was amazing along with the atmosphere! Our serve was great, just a little slow checking back with us in between. Overall would definitely return and recommend to others.

    We stopped here for lunch before our Biltmore tour and it was phenomenal. The ambiance was so nice, bathrooms were top notch and the food was really great. The service was great but a little slow. We planned an hour for lunch (start to finish) but it took about 20 minutes longer than we expected. It wouldn’t have been an issue if we weren’t on a time crunch. Overall this was an excellent place to eat!

    I was surprised by the ambiance as it was obvious to the wife and I both a ton of effort went into the process of created this inviting environment. Our server Brian did an outstanding job, recommendations, food and noticed we loved vintage items and suggested we look at the 400 year old Black Forest door, it was amazing. To our surprise it was overly busy as we both rated in above Ruth Cris steakhouse across the street of which was packed. We will be back.
