Restaurant sur deux étages offrant une fine cuisine décontractée (ainsi qu'une terrasse extérieure), le Red Pony est clairement devenue la destination favorite pour une expérience gastronomique sur l'historique Main Street à Franklin. Les chefs Jason McConnell et Carl Schultheis se sont associés pour créer un menu convivial et varié utilisant uniquement les produits les plus frais cultivés localement, les viandes et les fruits de mer. Les deux chefs qui ont travaillé ensemble pendant six ans allient leurs styles et techniques culinaires pour créer de nouveaux produits à tous les jours. Élu "Meilleur nouveau restaurant en 2006" par le magazine Southern Exposure, le menu du Red Pony est sacré comme «habile dans sa simplicité et intriguant dans sa mondanité».

Loud and dark. Couldn't hear other dinner guests, couldn't hear the waiter. Food was just ok. $500 bill before the tip for 5 people. Cork & Cow is much better.

5pm reservation, sat upstairs, so it was quiet. Dishes were fresh, creative, tasty and visually appealing. Only negatives, and I am reaching a bit were the limited white wine selection by the glass, we like chardonnay, and sides which could use more vegetable options. Price was comparable to area upscale restaurants. We go back.

This was our first time at Red Pony and the three of us were going for a special occasion. Two of us were vegetarians and the third was a total carnivore. The food for all of us was amazing and our server Greta was helpful with the whole meal including appetizers, wine selection, etc.. I now know why this is such a highly rated restaurant and will definitely be dining there again. Definitely recommend this restaurant but with that being said, someone that is hard of hearing may have difficulty following the conversation as the noise level is "energetic". We were seated upstairs so I can not comment about the first level and whether it is quieter. All in all, a very fantastic experience. Thank you!!

Our 3rd time eating here. Previous two trips everything was delicious. This has been our go to for special occasions. I did write a note about it being my fiancé's birthday and added to reservation we were celebrating birthday. Server had zero idea. We came for his birthday last year and we were given the delicious gnocchi. When I asked about it because there was no mention but the table next to us received it he said "oh no worries I can bring it". Let's say I was surprised by the VIP charge for it on our bill. Previous two times we have been it was a gift from the chef. Server was attentive. My pork porterhouse was the let down, pork was chewy and overcooked. The two appetizers were delicious, brisket flatbread and feature beef cheek tostada. The kale salad was also delicious. The vanilla vinaigrette was light but perfect with the goat cheese and kale. We will definitely be back but I wouldn't order pork again.

Our first time and we loved it. Craft cocktails we delicious!! Flounder was outstanding and the short rib special was amazing. Server was amazing and attentive. New favorite place.

We took my dad to the Red Pony for his birthday. It was also his first full week since moving here, so we really wanted to make him feel welcome. Our waiter went above and beyond. Not only was he incredibly informative about the menu, changes to the menu, what could pair well with what we were ordering, etc, but he was also remarkably unpretentious about it, which scored major points with my dad. He also brought out a complimentary birthday dessert for him, which my dad had never experienced at a restaurant before. Needless to say, the gesture made a huge impact. This was only my and my husband's second time there, so we were going on faith and a two-year memory that this was the place to celebrate. I am so relieved that the memory was correct! We had such a great time and the food was so nourishing, this is now our go-to for all celebrations. Thank you for being so wonderful!

Food was on par, as always! Hate the close table proximity to each other which then the volume of the room increases.
