We went to Red Oak Steakhouse on the recommendation of Jennifer Maune. She was the 2nd runner up on MasterChef last year. She lives in Arkansas. I was a little surprised to see how quiet the restaurant was considering you walk through a loud casino to get there. Once in the restaurant I felt I was in a high-end restaurant in Rome or New York. They treated you like royalty but were not too invasive. They knew exactly when to ask you if you needed anything and did not intrude on our loving evening. We started the night with Old Fashions. WOW - the best we have ever had and we have had a few. then they served us some wonderful warm bread with an amuse bouse of salmon in a fritter. Next came the Colossal Shrimp Cocktail with a guacamole dip. It was devine. I had the Salmon and it was cooked perfectly with a little crucnh on the top. The dollops on the side made it delicioso. My husband had the steak with Crab. The steak was cooked beautifully. He would have preferred the crab on top without the stuffing but it was still good. He also had the roasted asparagus. It was tender and seasoned to perfection. The entire night was a delight.

The food, cocktails, and wine were all excellent. The staff was especially good and very friendly. Tim, the bartender, and Gloria, our server, were extremely competent. It was also special to meet Jimmy and George who manage the restaurant. The Red Oak Steakhouse is truly a wonderful fine dining experience. I suspect that once the new hotel is completed, it will become much busier, and reservations will become more necessary to be able to enjoy this culinary masterpiece.

Good food ! Besides my Mac & cheese with lobster was Luke warm when they brought it , sent back and got a little warmer . Then steak was great , bake potato was Luke warm and after putting butter & sour cream on it , it was cold !

Steak had bad burnt flavor, a ton of fat. Sides were horrible especially Brussel Sprouts. Only upside was it was comped by Casino. Apparently new chef previous meals were good

George, Jimmy and Gloria were awesome. The appetizer/fried oysters was delicious. Our sea bass and filet were also good.
