Excellent service and food was outstanding! Esp the strawberry margarita and sea bass w the carnitas and shrimp steak fajitas . Only thing was the plants are no longer real and dusty . Disappointed for that bc we came to see the live orchids and bromeliads and palms like in the past. Oh well it’s understandable w this economy but wish they didn’t let the plants go . Otherwise it was perfection!

My husband was not impressed as our Food was not served hot the plate was hot service was okay. Where they sat us very disappointed table moved constantly not sturdy. And the servers constantly hitting my chair as they walked by.

This was my first time at Red O, I decided to try this place after shopping at Neiman Marcus. You walk into this beautiful space with each detail so well thought! The service was great! My daughter loves chicken taquitos and looking at the menu and its description it sounded so good. When we got the dish and tried it, it was very underwhelming. It was over stuffed with chicken (as an appetizer it was too big) the meat was under seasoned and over cooked. My daughter did not eat it at all. I tried it myself and it was just not good. Thankfully the carne asada and birria tacos made up for it. My daughter loved the beans and rice as well

After five days in San Diego looking for the ideal Mexican restaurant with ambiance, easy parking, frozen margaritas, varied menu to please all, great service, and yummy dessert, we left without success. We didnt have high hopes for Red O. What a warm welcome, impeccable snd friendly service, high endry vibes, grest room with firsplace tucked away ftom thr noise, yummy food choices for everyone prepsred beautifully snd the best frozdn margaritas. A home run. Perfecto!

A Fantastic Cinco de Mayo Experience at Red O Newport Beach 🌮🍹 Our recent visit to Red O restaurant in Newport Beach on Cinco de Mayo was nothing short of spectacular! The vibrant atmosphere filled with festive energy set the perfect tone for the evening from the moment we stepped inside. The restaurant's ambiance was inviting, with stylish decor and a lively buzz that captured the essence of the celebration. We were promptly greeted and seated in a cozy spot, complete with views of the bustling restaurant and outdoor patio, where an entertaining DJ kept the party going. The service was exceptional, with attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly staff. Our server recommended some of the signature dishes and cocktails, and we were not disappointed. The guacamole was fresh and flavorful, a perfect start to our meal. For the main course, we indulged in a variety of dishes, each bursting with authentic Mexican flavors. The carne asada tacos were tender and juicy, accompanied by perfectly cooked rice and beans. The shrimp enchiladas were a standout, beautifully presented, and deliciously seasoned. Noise level was so high that we couldn’t hear a word across the table…at 6pm. Pretty much ruined the night. Couldn’t hear 2 of the guests EVER.

What an amazing dining experience. We had reservations for 5:15 pm and arrived a little early. Sherlyn, Stella, and Caroline are so wonderful and seated up within minutes, and Caroline escorted us to the table. What wonderful people, kind and professional. We then met Brooke, our stellar server. Brooke took our drink order and guacamole and was quite pleasant and professional. The service at Red O is top shelf. We also saw one of our favorite people, Rocky. We chatted for a while as she is so sweet, genuine, and can light up any room. We had the Don Julio flight, and each had a margarita. Brooke stopped back by, and we ordered our entrees. My wife had the grilled halibut tacos, and I had the chicken and Carne asada fajitas. The food was terrific, as were the drinks and service. The ambiance was positive and uplifting and always so enjoyable. We also took a piece of the butter cake home for coffee and our after dinner movie. Everything was fantastic. We also said hello to Mallorie, who we met 3 years ago during her first week at Red O. We just love the food, service, and people. Highly recommended.

Had a lovely dinner at Red O Taste of Mexico in Newport Beach, Fashion Island on a beautiful sunny afternoon/evening. As always, the food was delicious and the service outstanding with a special thank you to Brooke. The beer is always the coldest and the Skinny Margarita very refreshing. My husband had the Oysters on the half shell appetizer and said they were excellent. The guacamole, salsa and tortilla chips were very good. For our main course my husband had the enchilada trio which is one of his favorites with a side of Red O's tasty beans and rice. My selection was two of the beef short rib enchiladas (so I had one to take home) and one chicken enchilada and it was amazingly delicious. The atmosphere is truly festive, and we look forward to our next visit to Red O Taste of Mexico in Newport Beach soon.

Great vibe for energetic guests! Not a quiet little date night place. My only complaint would be not servicing the bathroom fixtures, lightbulbs are out in the stalls of the women’s bathroom management should check that regularly. Otherwise I recommend this place.

First time dinning here and had the best experience. Lots of tequila to choose from. Duck taquitos were phenomenal. Queso fundido was also really good, not too spicy. Cucumber margarita was the favorite drink at our table. The espresso martini was strong, but good. Short rib enchiladas were good. The short rib tacos were absolutely delicious and would 100% go back for these. We ordered the flan, but the star of the night was the berry sorbet; it was light and refreshing. Carlos took care of us all night, was attentive, made sure our drinks were always full. I’m happy.

Best chicken fajitas I have ever had. Meat was white, tender and grilled perfect. Vegetables were seared and delicious. Flour tortillas were fabulous. Even the diet Pepsi tasted great. The others in our party also loved their food. Will definitely be back. Love it!

First time there, the server (can’t remember his name, something with a D, I think Daniel) was great! He was very patient on answering our questions on the menu items. We had requested food modifications and everything came out exactly as ordered. He always has our drinks refilled and we never hack to ask! All around, great food, service and ambiance.

Fun atmosphere! Fun bringing Mexican theme to Newport Beach ! Could improve on tequila selection … and add some spicy Mexican food selections! Add some good Jalapeños to all meals !! Big parties everywhere which slows down the service on party of 2… overall .. glad my husband and I checked it out ! If you like the party scene , this is the place for you !
