The hostess really rubbed us the wrong way when we came in. We drove for over an hour because it was pouring outside with several street lights were out with power outages throughout the city, we walked in the door at 5:31 for a 5:15 reservation after calling 7 times on the way there with no answer. We went to the hostess stand and told them our party was under “Rachel” someone walked up that we hadn’t been speaking to and said oh “Tracy” and we said no Rachel and she made sure to tell us that she already no showed our reservation because of their 15 minute window (which is totally understandable) she said the table was still available but acted like she didn’t want to seat us because we were 16 minutes late instead of 15. She stated “well you’re going to have to leave before 7 because we have other reservations”. The delivery was just very very poor. If the table was still available why did she even need to mention that she no showed us, also when it’s clearly pouring outside with power outages throughout the city. Just not tasteful and not what I would expect from a restaurant of this caliber. Everything else was amazing after we sat down.

Great service and food. Was seated upstairs and accidentally dropped my phone ALL THE WAY TO THE FIRST FLOOR. Thankfully nobody was hurt and my phone wasn't damaged, but be careful if you sit near the railing! I got the bishop's hat which was delicious; roasted cauliflower was a very health serving - a whole head! Would absolutely consider Red Ash to be some of the best Italian food in town.

This restaurant has been closed for seven months so we are super excited to dine here as it's our favorite restaurant in Austin. From the service to the cocktails to the wine list to the amazing food, you cannot go wrong ordering anything here. Keep up the good work.

My favorite restaurant in Austin. Go NOW. Ask for Zach. Best server ever. Everything was perfection from the scallops to the risotto to the hot chocolate cake.

We liked everything we tried, but the agnolotti pasta, filled with meat & served in a tasty clear sauce, was the winner! We also loved the desserts - tiramisu, hot chocolate cake & affogato. One of my favorite restaurants!

Food never disappoints!! Absolutely delicious, super fresh & always fantastic portions. Only challenge, the six top Upstairs was a little squished with 4 teens at the table. They are small people so I can’t imagine how a Bigger person would feel. All in all, we will return.

We had an amazing time at Red Ash and have already told friends they have to make their reservations to go asap. Our server made it so great too! Loved his recommendations. My Mothers Day dinner with my family was the best ever.

This was our first time to visit Red Ash, and it did not disappoint! Service (host and Jason (server)) was attentive, but not overly so. Started with rustic bread and meatball appetizers, which were delicious and well portioned for two. Entrees—pasta special and osso buco—were generous and tasty. We had plenty for another meal (or two). Have been trying to get reservations for a couple of years (you have to plan given the long wait for an open time), so I was curious if the hype was worth the experience. And it was!

Agnolotti could be sweeter, rigatoni and Parmesan scallion bread, very salty. A/C too high so cold and just too noisy.. put some padding on the ceiling. Chocolate dessert too gooey so topping not necessary. Stracchiatella gelato excellent

First time here - great experience all around. We sat at the “chefs table” and had the pleasure of watching the culinary artistry - especially at the grill. MUST return for steaks. We had vongole and also crab pasta - both fantastic and seasoned on point. Apps & Salad were delish along with the decadent gelati. Great service.

Food is wonderful. Sitting at the bar is my favorite. Staff is fantastic. The bread app is delicious. So is the Caesar salad.

Ash was incredible — she provided us with a beautiful tour of the menu, top notch service, and is just an awesome person to be around. You can find good food all over Austin. Service and ambiance are what stands out. We’d come back just for Ash. Thanks for a great evening

Super loud, over rated and extremely disappointing. Asked server if a dish contained chives as the two other dishes we ordered had them although it was not indicated on the menu- was assured it did not contain chives, scallops or green onions, but alas, a third dish I could not eat. Drink was…eh. Bummed we waited 8 months to eat here.

Red Ash was as expected.. DELICIOUS! Everything we ordered was 10/10. The buratta and bone marrow were perfectly flavored. The pasta dishes were also divine, great wine selection too. Will definitely be back!

Our first time visiting Red Ash and we loved it! The stuffed squash blossoms were a delicious appetizer. Our entrees were really good too. It is loud so a little difficult to hold conversations. Will definitely return.

I’ve found a lot of Austin’s finer dining to be underwhelming, but not Red Ash! Truly an outstanding meal, every time. So happy this place opened back up.

Outstanding restaurant. Worth the wait. Everything is perfect, food cocktails and most importantly the Staff. I know it’s difficult to get a reservation but so worth it.

So glad it's open again. We love Red Ash. Been going for birthdays and double dates for years. Food is consistently great. It's not cheap, but it's worth every penny. We have yet to have anything we don't love starter, main, dessert and beverages. Plan ahead because it's hard to get in. Great Italian is hard to find in Austin, and Red Ash is the best!

absolutely delicious! we sat at the bar, and had great service and recommendations for drinks. the garlic bread was amazing, and then we got two pastas, the caesar salad, and the sashimi and it was the perfect amount of food. great wine recommendations, and we were really happy with the experience. it was nice to go to an italian restaurant in austin where the bill matched the value!
