Recreation is a communal co-working space and lunch space by day and a cocktail lounge by night - serving as the ultimate living room for the neighborhood. Drawing inspiration from the rec room at your neighbor's house, Recreation features an old school Arcade Machine with games like Ms. Pacman, Centipede and Donkey Kong, Jenga, and - designed to host events or just play ball - a half court-sized basketball court.

Please note, the kitchen closes at 10pm; the last order we take is at 9:45pm.

Not good. On open table it said brunch both Saturday and Sunday. When we got there at 11:15 they wouldn’t let us order brunch food. They said it’s only on Sundays. Information needs to be changed on open table. I was looking for a Saturday brunch restaurant. We left. Unhappy.

I saw another review that said the food was "meh". They were correct. Server seemed put out to actually take our order, bring us our food, didn't check on us once, and to get our bill (once we flagged him down to get it). Just unusually poor service from the server. Hostess & bartenders were great however. They were friendly and helpful and saved the evening for us from being a pretty "meh" experience. A great spot for family with kids as there are a lot of activities to help burn off their energy.

Relatively good experience for what it was, excellent drink menu. The juicy Lucy was great. Lots of activities that were engaging and the food was okay. The nachos were meh, could use more sauce, the flatbread I ate was pretty fresh and tasty and my friend loved her sliders. I’d likely come again. It is somewhat pricey, not sure the prices are necessarily for the value but you pay for the experience.

Very nice place to stop in for a quick bite. Service was great, as were food and drinks. The basketball court is a very cool attraction. Will be back!

I hosted a group event on a Friday night. The staff was gracious and polite. The vibe was fun and classy. It was nice that there was a DJ. The bites, even the ones that were listed as a little more substantial were on the small side. Overall, my group of people had a blast and really liked the place. We would go here again.

I loved it there!! I took my girlfriend out on a date there for the first time and I did lose all hope when I saw the menu because I had no clue what the majority of it was but then when we got it oh my gosh it was like heaven on a plate! I just wish it was a bigger proportion for the price. And the games were great and the music ?? every song was a banger

Like others reviews , they never add your points even when u arrive on time and mentioned it s a reservation from OpenTable , you order food and drinks , but after all u will receive a mail from OpenTable that you canceled the booking … it posted with 1000 points always but fake AD or we can say it s a scam. u won’t get the points unless u have receipts or bank statements. Also it s a bar in a hotel moxy , the food and drinks are lame …. They even have no happy hour menu but they do provide happy hour — hidden gem ! So be careful !

Getting a host to direct us to our table was very chaotic. The host directed us to the bar to get assistance, the bartender directed us to a waiter for assistance, and then the waiter assumed we didn’t have a reservation when we did, and almost walked away without checking. The only other negative was that the skeeball machine was not working. Otherwise, it was a great experience and I will definitely go again. My boyfriend and I got 3 appetizers and 2 drinks each, and the bill was about $125.

The host was awful yesterday. I booked this place and the reservation was confirmed but they denied us entry one we arrived. They booked two parties but didn’t notify us. The host lied and said they sent us a message when they didn’t. She made it seem like we made a mistake and didn’t even apologize. Terrible experience

Service is SLOW. Not enough people working to keep up with the reserved tables. Tip is already included in bill but they don’t bring an itemized bill that shows you. Very annoyed to have a tip already added at a table for two people without being notified. 3 drinks, 1 beer, and a flatbread was 120 something. No thank you.

Terrible service for an early dinner before it was even crowded. Server actively ignored checking in on our table even after she (and other staff) saw us flag her down. More concerned with socializing with other staff than our dinner experience. Food was meh. Have typically loved other Moxy restaurant experiences. Won’t be back here.

Let me preface this by saying I never write Open Table reviews, but this was an absurd experience. We arrived after my friends' City Hall wedding. We were told to sit anywhere we'd like but didn't receive service for more than 10 minutes (the place was almost empty). I wanted to order a bottle of bubbly to celebrate, but was told they were out of Moet, as well as the prosecco. So the only option was something like $225. Then I asked about Rose and they said all they had in stock was Chardonnay. This is wild considering they're in a hotel. Don't they do room service? They said "the shipment hasn't come in yet today." It should also be noted that I tried calling earlier in the day to pre-order the Champagne, but kept getting a voicemail. I even tried calling the hotel directly and they forwarded me to the same voicemail. Anyway, at this point we decided to just leave. What I was hoping would be a fun experience after my friends' wedding turned out to be very embarrassing that I even chose this place. 0/10 Would not recommend.

Chaotic breakfast scene. Restaurant did not honor my reservation. Service was atrocious. No grownups in sight, no oversight, poor management. Although our table was booked for 11:00am, they refused to serve us brunch. We went elsewhere. Avoid this restaurant!

They advertised a cereal bar, which was nonexistent when we got there. The food tasted absolutely awful. The service was also almost nonexistent. I came here to celebrate my birthday. It was not a pleasant experience.

We do however host our new football season experience on Saturdays and Sundays which has been replaced on all of our platforms. Service was horrible. Manager said the drinks were on them for taking 30 minutes to make the order. But then didn’t comp the drinks from the bill.

The overall atmosphere of the place was a very cool laid back vibe. The hand crafted cocktails were delicious and the service provided by Nazhut was superb (2 thumbs up for her). The food was your typical bar style food, but tasty and offered a number of different varieties to choose. I would hit it again.

Need a daytime bartender or modify lunch/cocktail menu…went for lunch and ordered a few of their specialty cocktails only to find out bartender not on duty until late afternoon/ early evening. Server was able to provide straight pours of beer, wine, soda…was very surprised by not having a bartender staffed on a Sat afternoon. Our server was very sympathetic and understanding to our disappointment, we continued with lunch and enjoyed the sliders, tater tots, and pretzel bits.

Fun spot near WTC above the Moxy. Skeeball and other fun bar games. Great for a pregame or fun date night. Coming back for more fun. Drinks were good, place overall was chill.

Disappointed in the "cereal buffet." The advertising made it sound like that was a huge, fun deal; instead, we found a pile of individual boxes of cereal- the kind you might take on a road trip. We were really excited in advance, and, in retrospect, it felt like false advertising.

The concept of a throwback brunch with cereal and cartoons sounded very cool but the execution is severely lacking. The Moxy in FiDi (which appears to be a step above a hostel) hosts this space, with games and even a small bball court. Has the appearance of a cafeteria, and the screens for cartoons are VERY small TV's above the bar...not visible from most seats. Loved the free shuffle board, skee ball, and board games available but they are not supporting the concept/vibe whatsoever. Staff was hard to find and flag down, despite how empty the place was when we were there. Swing and a Miss!!

Great place. Will definitely go again. If you reserve a table, you can’t order from the bar. Wish there was flexibility around that. All in all, love the place! Good for professionals
