Not my first time there but this time decided to have the sushi. It was so fresh and tasty! The tempura roll was the best I've ever had. Highly recommend. Especially if going to the Pantages since they have valet pkg and your car is waiting when you get out of the theatre.

Food was delicious (we ordered exclusively from the sushi side of the menu), and service was friendly, efficient, not overbearing. Waiter provided good recommendations and was receptive to our comments and preferences.

We used to come here when it was Wood and Vine. When I checked the menu and saw that there were some of the same dishes - short ribs were our favorite - we decided to try it out for the tradition. RDen did not disappoint. Their sushi is outstanding, the short rib was as good as before and our server, Nora, was so good. Sweet fast service and made our evening lovely

Wonderful experience! The moment we sat down, first question was, are you going to the theater? Which we were. And there’s always a bit of anxiety as to whether or not you’ll get through your meal on time. Not only did they get us through our meal in plenty of time, the food was outstanding, drinks were delicious, we never felt rushed and had time to order dessert. We enjoyed it so much we went back after the show for a nightcap. Great time!

It was the perfect date spot before the theatre. Food is always spectacular. I asked for quiet area & we were seated at a quiet table. CK was amazing & kept us happy with his service!

Three of us ate here before seeing a show at the Pantages. Two of us were gluten-free(not Celiac) & vegetarian and one was pescatarian. We shared two salads, two sides and each had a sushi roll. The food was excellent and the kitchen was able to make accommodations for our food needs (i.e. bread crumbs on the side for the Caesar salad, soy paper instead of seaweed for one of the vegetable rolls). The Aleppo pepper potatoes and Brussels sprouts sides are quite spicy (and delicious) so if you’re not a spice person, check in on that when you order. There are lots of options for seafood and meat lovers and it’s clearly marked on the menu what can be made gluten-free or vegan. Our waiter was attentive and the service was good. They did clear the plates between courses a little quickly - the non-gf member of our party had her plate taken before she was done with her bread. We gave ourselves an hour and a half to eat and were easily out in time. The space looks small from the front but is actually quite large and divided into several sections. We sat in the mezzanine, which was comfortable and had a view of the theater. There was no gluten-free dessert option (though they looked yummy) and we decided against coffee and tea but they had a full coffee bar with alternative milk options. The cocktails looked good too. I will definitely eat here again before or after a show. Not only is it convenient, prices are reasonable and the food is great!

Last Saturday night we went to dinner Our reservations were at 7:30. We had an amazing dinner and drinks from the bar were great. I highly recommend you try this restaurant you will not be disappointed. I will definitely be coming back. Also, the entertainment is excellent as well very Hollywood vibes .

We had the best time ever celebrating my parents’ anniversary at Rden. The staff is friendly, fast and so patient. The food is tasty and incredible. The live music… don’t even get me started! There is no other restaurant in LA that provides this type of ambiance. Great work Rden team and keep it up!

Restaurateur allowed some influencers to ruin the experience for multiple tables. When multiple tables complained to server he would apologize but said there was nothing he can do. They had a flash so bright that planes thought they were so supposed to land on the second floor. Will NEVER go there again.

Nice place, friendly staff. Would I go back...not sure. Ordered Miso soup...got a dirty spoon. Ordered mashed potatoes with my meal...had to remind our server when my main was brought. Good food...but prob would go to the other Japanese/Sushi restaurant a few doors down, even though its a bit louder.

Employees were welcoming upon entrance. Our Server was accommodating and full of suggestions when asked. We ate the "Specialty Rolls" they were so tasteful and fresh. We really enjoyed eating our food. I will definitely be back.

We enjoyed our dining experience at RDEN. It was across the street from Pantages, and was a great choice for our family of tweens. Service was paced, and allowed us to enjoy our sushi while keeping an eye on the clock. We all enjoyed our time and would book again.

Disappointing. Caesar salad lacked dressing and flavor. Tempura was mostly broccolini and two carrots on a big bed of fries. No tempura sauce was served. Had to ask for wasabi and ginger. Branzino fish was boring - no flavor. No hot sake - only cold.

The cauliflower steak is my go to at RDen - it should be called a mountain of cauliflower and not listed with the beef steaks. The seasoning with pepitas and chimichurri sauce bring it all together. Beet salad is decent but should cut up the beets to bite size. Hummus is also good but don’t supply enough to spread the hummus on to eat it. Seating was terrible - many good open tables but was seated at the door in what seemed like diner seating - I thought I should be ordering a 2-2-2 breakfast with eggs, pancakes and bacon. The music was so loud couldn’t carry a conversation. Better dining options near by.

A nice, upscale spot for pre-theater dining in the former site of Wood & Vine. The food was quite good (sushi is an option) and the service was attentive (on a Wednesday night). As Pantages subscribers, we’ll definitely be back.

We had another amazing dinner at RDEN Bar & Restaurant. Our beet salad was wonderful, & the short ribs (our favorite) were amazingly tender & delicious. Chef Noe creates incredible dishes. Our welcoming server, Christina D., was professional & friendly; always making sure that we were comfortable, & that food was served promptly. As busy as she was, w/ all of her customers, she even managed to take a few photos of us. This high-end, but affordable restaurant is a welcome & much-needed addition to the Hollywood area. And its proximity to the Pantages is another plus.

My party was seated right away and they allowed us to change our assigned seating. Our server Ryan was polite, personable, professional and attentive. He took our drink order and he also made several food recommendations. We eventually ordered the Hibiscus Margarita and Old Fashioned. Both drinks were excellent and we were able to watch them being made from the upstairs dining room. For dinner, we ordered the seafood pasta, the Branzino and a side of asparagus. Both dishes were EXCELLENT, a 10/10. Overall, I was pleased with the service, the food and the ambience. I will definitely be back to dine at RDEN.

The exceptional service from our waitress is what put this over the top. The sushi was really good although it is a little bit pricey, and the convenience to the Pantages definitely wins points. But again Service was the deciding factor. Would definitely come back.

I can't say enough about my experience this evening. Everyone was very friendly. It was my first time there and Ryan made great recommendations. The sushi, phenomenal. Seafood pasta, phenomenal. Oh, and don't forget dessert. Love this place. I sat in the patio area and it was perfect. I highly recommend and will be back.

The staff was friendly form the moment we arrived. They immediately greeted my dad with a “Happy birthday” and I was so pleased. Our waiter was so friendly and checked on us often throughout our meal. We started with two signature cocktails and a rainbow roll. Followed by the salmon and the seafood pasta. I asked for the mashed potatoes to be exchanged for Brussel sprouts, and they were AMAZING. The salmon was cooked to perfection with a super crispy skin. We finished with a Creme Brûlée cheesecake. I will definitely be visiting again.

It was my first time at RDEN and I was on a date and wanted it to go well. The restaurant made it special. The food was great and the service was also great. We ate upstairs and it felt elegant and hip. I wish I could remember our server's name. I think it was Danny?

We love this restaurant for when we are going to a show at the Pantages. However it seems that we get a worse table each time we go. This time we had to ask to change tables which the hostess did with pleasure and efficiency. We shared the spicy meatball starter, and yes it is spicy! I had the seafood pasta which was very disappointing, also very spicy which just overwhelmed the seafood. It also contained some crunchy vegetable that was like chewing wood shavings! my wife had a steak and lobster tail which was fine except the mash potato tasted like it came from a packet which I’m sure it didn’t. The chocolate trio dessert though is to die for. The barista was too backed up with a 20 minute wait for coffees so we had to forget those with a show to go to. Our server Jade though is just the best!
