This was our second time coming to Ray’s on the River. The experience was dramatically different this time. Service was still great as usual, but the food quality wasn’t the same. The portion was a lot smaller compared to the last time for example our bread basket was half the side of what we ordered before. The grilled salmon was very salty and they ran out of sparkling water and a bunch of other things on the menu, mind you we were there at 7pm. I don’t know if it has something to do new management, but it’ll be a long time until we come back. I wouldn’t recommend this location to a friend at this point.

We had the pleasure of being served by Dillion & Jeremy tonight. My guest ordered a glass of wine and an oyster appetizer. The appetizer was brought to the table without a cocktail fork. We had to search around for a server to ask to bring one to him. Also, the crackers that were brought to the table were stale. They were not light and crispy to my pallet, like a Saltine cracker. I brought this to our server’s attention and he was surprised because it was a new box he said and would go back and taste them. I ordered grilled shrimp w/ a lemon butter sauce and my guest ordered scallops and a side order of mashed potatoes to share. When the mashed potatoes they didn’t look hot. After stirring them around, they still were not hot and we sent them back to the kitchen. The new mashed potatoes came to the table steaming and were delicious. We come to the restaurant often and will think that this was an off night for the restaurant. We overheard the restaurant is over new management. I hope their high standards are not compromised.

We have celebrated our wedding anniversary 28 out of 30 years with Ray’s on the River. (Our 10-year wedding anniversary ate at Ray’s in the City.). Our 30th celebration was another great meal with amazing service.

We celebrated our wedding anniversary at Ray's on the River. Everything was perfect from arrival to departure. Our waiter provided excellent service, cocktails were great, steaks were cooked to perfection, the atmosphere and view was awesome. Definitely on the list for future visits.

The setting alone is worth the trip. Beautiful, elegant, restful, and tasteful are words that come to mind. The menu is varied and wonderful and the service was everything it should be and more. Truly a lovely experience.

I would recommend for drinks, appetizers and ambience but not food. Our food was cold and most dishes were missing items the dish said it had. And for the price I would go to Ray’s in Alpheretta the food is always amazing there.

Great place for brunch on a beautiful day. I've only been for dinner up until now. Brunch followed by stroll outside with the kids. Food and drinks were excellent. Service - friendly, attentive, and not overbearing.

My wife and I enjoyed a very pleasant brunch at Ray's on the River this past Sunday. The wait staff was very helpful (and accurate) with their recommendations and they were very attentive. The food was delicious and expertly prepared. The ambiance was very relaxing and there was live music performed by Desmond (guitar and singer) which was excellent. I highly recommend making a reservation and trying out their Sunday brunch.

Everything was good, however since it was a birthday dinner, we were not seated at a booth or somewhere there is a view. It was in a center of the room. It would be nice if we had a better seating arrangement.

Ray’s on the River used to be one of my favorite restaurants in Atlanta for special ocassions . Sadly, today’s visit during lunch to celebrate a special occasion was so average it left us disappointed. We were a party of six and tried several items from both the Saturday brunch and regular lunch menu and they were all so average and unremarkable. The presentation, service and overall taste was nowhere near the special occasion experience we were looking for. None of the dishes were particularly good. The restaurant is beginning to feel dated and the experience felt well below our expectations considering the price we paid. Sadly, this one is now off our list of special occasion restaurants in Atlanta.

10 out of 10! Hands down, I'd say it was the BEST seafood I had in all of Georgia and I've lived here for over 15 years now! Will DEFINITELY be coming back.

Our experience was seamless and special. I took a friend for a 40th birthday celebration. We were seated promptly, at a table overlooking the river. Alex and David were our friendly and professional servers; they made the whole experience fun! The lobster rolls were recommended, and they were full of divine, plump lobster meat, served with drawn butter. The truffle parmesan fries were outstanding, as was the Caesar salad. Dessert was an amazing lemon cake, topped with vanilla ice cream and a blueberry sauce! Truly a lunch to remember such an important occasion!

My wife and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary. Instead of getting large plates we decided to share several starters: GOAT CHEESE PIMENTO FRITTERS, COLOSSAL SHRIMP COCKTAIL, JUMBO LUMP CRAB CAKE, LOBSTER MAC. Everything was fantastic. The serve was also superb! Highly recommend Ray's on the River!

Great time with friends on the covered patio. Beautiful scenery overlooking the Chattahoochee river. Food was excellent and their menu has a wide variety of options to choose from. The only issue we had was the waiter got slammed as the evening progressed. Otherwise, it was a great night out!

Service took about 15 mins to get a drink. Forgot park of our order. Crab cakes very mediocre. Mushrooms had way too much zest. Will go to canoe next round. Rays really let us down for spending over $300 for 2 people.

The manager and service were great. The food wasn't good or quality. It's changed for the worse. It used to be nice. The food wasn't fresh. No eggs or special gifts or cocktail for the Mother's for Mother's Day. No juice or soda or tea or coffee included with the brunch.

When it comes to nice dining the perceived value has changed. We have attended over 20 Mothers Day Brunches at Ray's on the River and something was lacking. Seems like the choices and options have diminished over the years. Yesterdays Salmon was missing flavor and the vegetable choices were lackluster. The $200 brunch + gratuity + valet parking makes it difficult to look forward to doing this again. The Service Staff was excellent. the ambiance was nice for the outdoor seating. The grounds were pleasant and the river view was nice eye candy. As a seasoned Google Guide, my recommendation is that you can't go wrong with this venue. It's just that the food value vs the cost makes this special brunch not so special.

The quality and options you get for the price you pay is not up to standards. Waiter was ok.

I love Rays but today it was awful my dinner consisted of Brussel sprouts and Shrimp. Grits were clumpy, not hot Hash not hot Benedict was over cooked bread was hard, what a Waste of my money and my Time. I gave up after a few tries. I spoke to server and expressed my opinion and he did not care he said oh well I don’t cook, and at that was my confirmation to move on and bypass Rays in the near future. DISAPPOINTED CONSUMER!!!

I love the ambiance at Rays.. and our server DJ was amazing. He was attentive, engaged and extremely courteous. I was not so in love with the brunch. The smoked salmon was very fishy and overwhelmed everything next to it. Seating was also very hectic and seemed to be confusion about our table. I appreciated the staff moving us to another location.
