    6.17.24 First I want to say I have visited your restaurant on the River many times over the years as well as the location downtown. I come to the restaurant on the river 99% because of the water views. I booked the Father's Day reservation more than 2 weeks ago requesting a table by the water or direct water views. That being said, most recently my husband, mother and I visited Ray's on the River on Mother's Day and yesterday on Father's Day. On Mother's Day was the only time I had ever visited the restaurant with zero water view. I was very disappointed. *****Actually, our first date ( June 19), was in this restaurant and hold special memory.******I hesitated to book again for Father's Day, but my husband requested Ray's also for the water views. I called a week or so later requesting a table by by the water. Tiara called me back and said although we had a reservation we were not guaranteed a table with a water view. I called again requesting a table with a water view be noted on our reservation.. Upon arrival I requested yet again, a table with a water view. The staff looked glib, uninviting and frankly were not very welcoming to me. My mother agreed. The symbol lump crabcake tasted divine as usual. The She Crab Soup tasted like it was out of can, luke warm and had a gelatin consistency, horrible, asked to remove from my bill. On Mother's Day the She crab soup on the buffet was a different recipe with lighter orangish color with lots of flavor. The soup yesterday looked like pumpkin soup and immediately I could see that it was much more orange in color and upon tasting and sure enough was a different recipe which was not enjoyable to me. We were eventually seated by the water. Bryant and Alex wait staff service was fine. I tipped 25%. We wanted to share our experience. Dr. M

    I took my husband for his Father’s Day dinner. I had a reservation so our wait was relatively short upon our arrival. We had fantastic seating to look at the river. Our server Jeremy was very cordial and took care of our needs. Our meals were delicious (as usual) and the key lime pie an and banana cheesecake were fantastic. We will definitely be back to this location in the near future!

    On 6/16/2024 my family and I went to enjoy dinner here for father’s day. We had a reservation and were seated upon arrival fairly quickly. We were then greeted by our server Tangeria. She quickly took our drink and starters order and gave us time to browse the menu for main courses. Everything was running smoothly until our Hot seafood tower we ordered came out.. not on a tower. We didn’t mind at first being that a food runner had brought out the tower. But then Tangeria then came around with the tower piece of the dish after we’ve already began to eat offering to assemble the tower mid meal. We declined. We then placed our main course orders and waited. Tangeria cleared our appetizer plates and brought out refill drinks for us without us having to ask which was nice. That was the last time we heard or seen from her until after we were done with dinner. A good runner brought our food out and our sides were completely cold and one of the steaks we ordered was over cooked. We waited and waited for our server to come back so that we could ask for another steak, unfortunately she never came back until everyone was done with their meal. We let her know our complaints about the food and she offered free desert. That was cool when we asked for them not to be TO-GO so we could enjoy it at the table but instead it came in a to-go box along with our ice cream. At this point we were ready to go because we felt as if though she wasn’t listening to any of our request. She did what she wanted and that was a major problem. We’ve been to this restaurant multiple times and never had service like this before. Maybe we’ll just stop coming on major holidays when everyone loses their damn mind and forgets how to serve.

    This visit was on Father's Day, which does not represent a typical Sunday experience. Reservation for 4 was 4:15, seated at 4:20. Quickly ordered cocktails. Not delivered until 4:50. Ordered salads and entrees. Delivered both in appropriate time. Simultaneously ordered another cocktail. Had to remind the waiter about the drink. It appeared that they were understaffed for the large number of tables/patrons they were trying to serve. Just a very busy day.

    We had appetizers and three different entrees. We also had cocktails and beer. Our service person provided great responses to our questions about the various dishes. My husband's fish, he felt was the best he had ever had, and we eat out often. We used to live in Vinings and used to visit the restaurant often. We had not been back for a while and needless to say, after the great meal we had, we will be back again soon.

    This is one of my favorite restaurants for two reasons, consistency and consistency the food. The service always satisfies me. I really want to say that Rays On The River just makes me feel like I’m at home enjoying a meal with friends..

    I’ve been to Ray’s a few times before and the food, service, ambiance has never changed. No matter the reason we come there has been a pattern of professional consistency we enjoy. The food is oh so good and the butter cake should be taken off the menu post haste and labeled a hazardous substance to hips, thighs, and waistlines all over the state. I’m not really supposed to be eating sweets but I helped my husband devour the cake with no shame. Thanks to Jeremy our server, my husband’s Father’s Day meal was delicious and satisfying. The only negative thing was the dress code. It says on the website in no uncertain terms, attire is business casual. We stressed about what to wear and even called to make sure we were in compliance. When we arrived we felt over dressed-not everyone was beach ready so I won’t make a sweeping generalization. I don’t know if the dress code is a sometime, if you want to expose your breasts in the dining area feel free, we don’t really enforce it thing or should we stick to the dress code regardless? No shade, I just don’t like to see breasts when I’m eating unless they’re on a plate in front of me.
