We have always enjoyed Rays a ton. Last night was a struggle. Our server was very good, but it appears she may have been double sat with two larger tables (including us) within a few minutes. It took about 15 minutes for anyone to visit our table. Once we ordered drinks and appetizers, the appetizers arrived 10 minutes before our drinks. It seemed like the appetizer and salad part of the kitchen was in over drive and the bar was way behind. The timing was pretty frustrating as cocktail hour is a key part of our experience at a nice restaurant. Again, I don’t put this on our server as she was very good, but the kitchen and bar seemed to be disconnected. Food was solid and we chalk up the overall service to just an off night. We will be back for sure as Rays has been a good spot for us historically.

Menu could definitely be bigger for what they charge. Other than that me and my family had a great time and our waiter was excellent and funny. Food was delicious!

I hosted a group of 12 friends at Ray's Killer Creek Thursday evening. Ray's has always been a dependable restaurant and well worth the higher prices for the food, service, and ambiance. Unfortunately, Thursday evening, many of us did not have that great experience. Ray's was recently sold to an investment group with the promise that none of the three restaurants would change. Clearly this promise has not been met. I set this evening up so the group would be able to enjoy the Spring 3-course $39 prix fixe menu. I had called the restaurant to confirm the reservation from OpenTable and to ensure that the special menu would be available last night. I was assured that it would. Upon receiving our menus, there was no mention of the special. I spoke to the maitre d' and was told that the chef had said they were out of some ingredient, so he said to not put the specials menu on the table. I mentioned to her that the group was here for that menu and asked if there was something that could be done. She said she'd talk to the chef. About 5 minutes later, the wait staff delivered the special menu, encased in the vinal sleeve so it was clear that they didn't just put them together. There was no mention of any unavailable ingredients. Most of us ordered the special. Draw your own conclusions about why they didn't present the special menu to our party. Our food was delivered in an appropriate amount of time for a table of 12, however the wait staff completely botched giving the correct meals to our group. They apparently didn't care to realize that some were blackened and others broiled. The food was not even luke-warm. It came out in a reasonable account of time, so it wasn't as of the food had been sitting for any length of time in the kitchen. One of my shrimp was severely undercooked. None of this is characteristic of Ray's before the new ownership. I will point out that the restaurant was only 1/3 full, so it wasn't a matter of the kitchen being too busy.

Great experience! Try the wedge salad. Absolutely the best blue cheese I have ever had!

Ray's did a fantastic job, as always! My wife and I celebrated our anniversary. I had the salmon - the best. My wife had the "red fish" with grits - very nice and a little spicy. I recommend going on a weeknight if you like it quiet.

The food was mediocre. I feel like they had a good variety of options. Some of the dishes were quite good, but I don’t feel like enough of the options warranted the amount required for service.

The food was great, but it was obvious that they were struggling to keep up with the crowd. However my biggest con is that I thought it was extremely overpriced for what they served and I didn’t even get a free mimosa for that price! A $75 meal should include expensive seafood or an exceptional cut of meat, not waffles, scrambled eggs and shrimp and grits. The prime rib and salmon were fantastic, but I can have those in other upscale restaurants for less than $75 a plate.

Mother's Day Brunch. The food was very good as usual. People were also friendly. Service was not great. 35 minutes to get an iced tea and 45 minutes to get a Margarita. Everyone around us were getting their drinks, so the "we are our of glasses" story was actually pretty irritating. I was already eating dessert when my margarita finally came. It's not a dessert drink. Other than the buffet, we needed a tea and bar drink. Failed on both. It's hard to swallow, giving a tip on 3 $75 meals when that happened.

Normally their brunch is very good. We came late in the day on Mother’s Day though and it was a very weak refresh. A lot of the food even ‘looked’ old and the wait staff was clearly tired. It took 3x to get salt and 2x for each drink order. I think they just tried to offer too much to too many and it was not a great value … we were disappointed
