The 38,000 ft Rayleigh Underground venue spans 6 bars, 2 VIP bars, & and three private dining rooms. The multi-level Violet Bar & Lounge inside the Rayleigh features Pacific Rim-inspired VIBE dining, craft cocktails, and extensive wine and beer lists. Book reservations for a last-minute birthday for eight people and as we were sitting there waiting at the bar, trying to wait for the birthday girl. I was told that they were having a private event so we had to move and sit on a table. It was a inconvenience and I wish they would have told me they were having a private event when we made the reservation. Then the happy hour food was a joke….just one item which was very disappointing and it was not flavorful, tough dry chicken breaded and fried and had the nerve to call it Korean. not good at all. How do you serve something like that as a chef? The risotto scallops were not very good. The risotto was way too sweet. The steaks were not cooked correctly. My friend asked for a medium. It was well done. I had to go back-and-forth with the waiter to prove the steak was over cooked. when you can visually see not pink. And then in the middle of singing her birthday, the private party decided to talk on microphone. Not a good idea to sit a large party next to them… they had a whole section at the bottom that they could have sat us at. I was not impressed with the experience and I was very disappointed that they should’ve closed the restaurant if they were going to have a private event. The waiter keep on telling us it was fine dining and it wasn’t even close. The only thing that was good was the crab and seafood dip. That was very tasty. And the drinks are water down and don’t have any alcohol. Priced $16-$24. I feel like I was drinking juice. One thing about DFW they’ll open a new restaurant that looks nice and overcharged people and serve mediocre and call it fine dining.

The manager and server manny were great I was sad the night had to end! Will be back very soon!!

First the restaurant charges a cover charge per person $20. The waitress Anita was the best thing about the experience at the Rayleigh Underground! The food was over priced for its taste! Please don’t misunderstand me! I’m use to paying for pricey meals but this food was untasteful! Also, the value for the experience is not worth it! The live music was very nice! Is it worth the overall experience!! Sorry but No!!!

The ambiance was nice, music too loud to hold conversation’s entertainment was ok . Appetizers were nice but the main meals were bland . We had the salmon dish and the beef fried rice. Service was good.

Venue was excellent and clean. The band, The After Party, was good. Jolynn our server was great. The food was fair. I learned that they have a new chef. He/she needs to get it together in the kitchen.

We had a great time! The service could’ve been a little swifter once we got there, but overall, it was really great. The food was good, needed a little more spice. Now the mashed potatoes and brussels sprouts were out of this world! The cocktails were great, and the music was fantastic!

Ambience and Music was delightful. Service could have been better however was told they were under staffed. Drinks came out over an hour later. We were not shown a bill but just told how much it was. Wasn’t explained about the fee added on. But we enjoyed ourselves, loved the live band and the venue is beautiful. I would try it out again.

This place is amazing. I love the atmosphere and the vibe was great. The food was good no complaints and the service was more that stellar. P.S. we were there on jazz night and the band FINGERPRINT was great.
