The food is fantastic! Lots of dishes I hadn't had before, and everything perfectly spiced for flavor without the "burn.". Do not miss the coconut dessert. It is indescribable, but delicious and a bit funny!

Rangoon is an absolute hidden gem. Fabulous warm, welcoming service, a gorgeous space-- I can't wait for summer so I can sit outdoors. The food is fresh, with stunning new flavors and gorgeous presentation. While I am glad for myself that it's quiet, it really deserves a buzz.

This is my second visit to Rangoon for brunch. This time I brought 5 friends with me so they could enjoy an amazing restaurant; the place, the food, the drinks, and mostly, the service. Our waiter Charline, same as the first time, was AMAZING. She even recognized me when I was standing outside waiting for my friends. I recommend this place 100% and I will be back again. Next time, I want to go for dinner. Daniel and Myo, you guys have a gem in NYC and you also have the MOST AMAZING waiter; Charline.

Great place and ambience. The service was excellent and very fast. The food didn’t impress me, too much onions and the pork shoulder was salty.

The food here is perfectly fine but will not blow you away. The services is friendly and not overbearing. The sauces served with the dishes were very good and the roti was delicious. The noise level was quite intense, there's nothing to absorb sound on the walls and they have a wooden floor so don't come here for a quiet peaceful meal.

Love Burmese food, and I may have been spoiled in San Fran, but didn’t care for this restaurant. Green Tea Leaf salad was lacking, best dish was fair. Expensive for what it is.

We had beef skewers, masala beef, and tea leaves pork. The cocktails were strong and not overly sweet. Everything was outstanding.

Tried Rangoon and Burmese food for the first time, and was impressed. The service and ambience is fantastic, as our waiters were attentive. I had the seafood curry, it was seasoned really well and delicious. Will definitely come back again.

Excellent place for some unique cuisine. My table got the onion fritters, chicken curry, lemon fish pasta, and garlic noodles. Everything was excellent and fresh. My favorite was the garlic noodles. Great place to try!

South Asian food is one of my favorite food in the world. This past Sunday I visited Rangoon Restaurant, a restaurant that offers traditional Burmese food. I have to say that I was quite impressed with the place. Since the minute that I walked in, alone as my party was running a few minutes late, the staff were so welcoming and nice like in no other restaurants before. Even though I had 2 Pulsd coupons, they insisted that I sat down and I even started with my delicious and refreshing cocktails before my friends showed up. The food was the MOST delicious south asian food I have had in my life. I had the spicy Masala beef and it was to die for; I am still talking about it. The flavors were so amazing and the portions were big to the point that I took some home and was so happy the next day when I had it for lunch and the taste was even better. One of my friends had the shrimp fried rice and I have to admit that I was salivating ; the look of the rice, the smell, the portion, and the size of the shrimps! The waiters; a young girl from Burma and a French lady were the best waiters ever. I definitely recommend this place 100% and another 100% that I am going back.

Had lunch on a Sunday. Wasn’t too crowded or noisy so good for conversation. Shared the grilled okra and eggplant skewers, tea leaf salad, turmeric fried rice and disco fries - all good. Will go again if in the area.

Had brunch with my friend. Great food and good cocktails. They have “happy hour” everyday between 12-6pm with beer and wine at half price and all contrails for $12. Would like to go back and try different dishes.

Food was just OK compared to other Burmese restaurants in the city. Sat 15 minutes before server came to table. another 10 minutes to bring a beer. Servers were friendly, just absent. Nice looking space but overall disappointing food and service.

First time having Burmese food. We were impressed with the food, service and overall ambience. Much better than the dozens of places on that stretch of 8th Ave. Great beer selection. And not noisy.

I was so excited to eat here, but ended up extremely disappointed. Everything was fried and greasy. The dipping sauces were delicious, as were the cocktails, but they were really the only redeeming features. We were excited for the whole fried fish, but when it arrived it was tasteless and unappealing. Only the dipping sauces elevated the fish to edible.

One person from my group of three loved the food and one did not and the third liked it enough to return. The service was impeccable and the ambiance, pleasant. We were even given our drinks at half price!! Overall, I would rate it outstanding and I am glad to have found a neighborhood restaurant just a wee bit different.
