Great experience for an early date night! Tried several items off the happy hour menu then selected a few from the main! Lovely place to dine. Seating is limited.

Went with a friend from Burma and he approved of the flavors! We had the tea leaf salad, chicken curry, and grilled shrimp skewers! Outdoor seating is equipped with heaters.

Cool ambience, attentive staff, food was disappointing. The curries were okay, they had flavor but not a stew as we expected. The veggie curry listed loads of veggies. I think I counted 4 pieces of vegetables in beans- veg and beans were slightly under cooked. The spicy beef was literally sautéed chopped meat with a kick. The pickled veggies were a nice compliment. The patio was lovely but we would not go back. The meal was mediocre.

An excellent and enjoyable dining experience. The food was delicious with a wide array of protein choices. The staff was extremely helpful, and knowledgeable about the food and drink menu taking time to answer any questions.

The food was sensational and beautifully presented. We enjoyed the Burmese fried chicken and Keema paratha. We will order the spicy masala beef every time we come. It is that good. The glass noodle stew with quail eggs was also tasty and hearty. We were underwhelmed by the coconut tapioca for dessert. I would suggest skipping as it wasn’t quite the right note to end a delicious dinner on. Ambiance and service were fantastic.

We waited 10 minutes before getting a drink order and it wasn’t even crowded. The lights were bright and the seating uncomfortable. But honestly all that would have been fine, but the food was honest to God terrible. The soup was so salty it felt like a mistake. Like someone dropped a box of salt in the pots. The salad had something wilted and bitter in it that made it gross. The best thing was the fried chicken and it was like cafeteria nuggets. I love dining in NYC, I love Burmese food, this was almost funny it was so uniformly bad.

The pork and lettuce wraps are delicious. The flatbread too. Didn’t love the coconut chicken noodle soup (but also didn’t take our lovely waiter’s rec to get the glass noodle stew). Light and bright and clean interior with appealing booths on the sidewalk.

Rangoon brings new flavors and interesting dishes to Prospect Heights. While it has few inside tables, it has an attractive backyard with small booths for dining. Unfortunately, these are decorated cheaply with repurposed cloth that lends an air of cheapness to what should be a top-notch dining experience. The wait staff is at times overly attentive and if you are mostly done with your plate make sure that they do not grab it away before you are done. The kitchen hasn't worked out the timing of appetizers and entrees and after a long wait both courses arrived together. With a small investment in decorations and better training of wait staff this would be an excellent restaurant, but alas after 3 years it is still a work in progress. Nevertheless, much of this can be overlooked because the food is very good!

The small plates were good like onion fritters and Fried chicken Bao!...but the entrees less so. Beef Masala was dry and boring. Prawns were overcooked or a bit mushy and you had to peel them with oily red sauce, so very messy. Drinks not great...too sweet. Only 1 desert Much better restaurants in the neighborhood.

Unique, delicious food expertly prepared and presented. The setting is nice, although we went on a very hot day and the air conditioning was pretty ineffective. The service was very friendly but a little slow. Not a full bar, but a very interesting selection of beers & wines.

We sat in the lovely back courtyard. The food is excellent, but some descriptions could be more thorough. For example, one dish arrived minced, which had not been mentioned in the description. And while portions are generous, the food is not inexpensive. We shared small plates and had aaw weone beverage each (one mocktail, one cocktail) and the bill for two was over $100.

Rangoon’s was very tasty. The amount of food was more than adequate. Most of us left with leftovers. The space was large enough to seat my entire group of eight and the service was fast and friendly. The only concern was the temperature of the room. Ceiling fans, AC or even vents would be helpful.

We might have been expecting too much, but we found the food disappointing. The beef masala was intolerably salty. The Rangoon chicken was fine, but a bit bland. The fried chicken appetizer was a perfectly decent chicken tender lightly spiced with cumin.
