Delicious food, portions small but very satisfying. Service was great and patio was comfortable. We don’t drink alcohol but went for the food. They even give you blankets to keep warm if needed. If you are in the area give a try.

Rancho Capistrano Winery was a lovely restaurant located in the downtown area of San Clemente. The Brunch menu had many types of different foods for our entire party. Our waiter was very helpful in selecting a bottle of wine for our group and steering us to some of the specialties on the menu. The ambience in the restaurant was very casual, and we enjoyed a lovely Sunday afternoon in downtown San Clemente. We would recommend this restaurant for any type of group, and you can dine inside or outside. It was also nice to be able to walk around the downtown area after we finished this wonderful brunch.

I can't remember the last time I enjoyed a meal so much. Food was first class, the accompanying wines were very good and service was just right. My wife and I shared the fig and whipped Gorgonzola bruschetta, finished with arugula and balsamic glaze it was just perfect between two people. My wife had a divine grilled salmon and vegetables, and swapped out the rice for mashed potato, which was an excellent choice. My steak salad was the ideal marriage of blue cheese salad and New York strip, cooked just to my liking. The red flight tasting revealed to me that the Duke cab sav was the perfect complement for the steak, so I washed it all down with a glass of that. Highly recommend!

Food and service were as we hoped. Paige always makes the experience feel like a home town restaurant. Ava has been able to secure our favorite table the past 2 times I requested. She even called me to let know that the table was also requested later in the evening if we wanted to come in and enjoy earlier. These details create separation between Rancho Capistrano Winery and the rest of the food options on Del Mar. That personal service makes this location a "go-to" when considering where we want to dine.

First visiting. We started with the coconut shrimp and caprese starters…. Main courses were filet, beef stroganoff, flat bread… over all the meal was flavorful and serviced hot. Staff was attentive and prompt. Menu is limited but good. Loved the stroganoff recipe. Filet was juicy and tender. There is a wine bar as well. Tables to bar ratio was weighted heavier on the tables so the place felt more like a restaurant than a wine bar. Lighting and overall ambience was good. We would consider another visit.

The server was great! Need more vegan options for dinners. Also, it was my birthday, and I told the server I was vegan. He brought desserts to the table that were not vegan. Thank you for the desserts though! Service was great. Wine was good. The noise level was very high.

Valentine's Dinner Needs better desserts Note to restaurants kitchen staff - Do not put cheese on the mashed potato!!!! This killed my Dinner mood 🥲 Needs more clear details on the Restaurants locations, I wanted to dine at the Capistrano location but mistakenly the reservation was made to the San clemente location. Our server was Great, don't remember his name but his service was outstanding! His wine knowledge and communication was excellent! Butternut soup was the best of the night!

Everyone was very friendly and accommodating. The Valentines Pre-Fix choices were delicious. As soon as you sit down they ask if you would like champagne. Each course came with a wine pairing. I selected the Chilean Sea bass for my entree which as delicious. I would come back.

I made the reservation for an early Valentines Day dinner, and I arrive at the restaurant after making a reservation and the restaurant is closed for renovations. I called the manager the day after and he apologized, and said that OpenTable doesn't have a proper system to inform of any restaurant temporary closures.

Great experience, staff was kind and helpful. The food was amazing, and we ate outside so the noise from the street was moderate but we choose to be seated outside.

We love Rancho! Such a charming location in the historic downtown, San Clemente, shopping and dining area. The entire staff is wonderful! They are headed by their terrific manager, Zach, and are always kind, attentive, welcoming, and happy to help personally guide each guest to the best wine and meal choice. Regardless of whether we visit for a special night out or the Tuesday night member special, It always gives us a lift to visit Rancho Capistrano Winery in San Clemente!

We had the most amazing dinners last night. Starting with the vegetable soup then the beef stroganoff and zucchini stuffed cannoli. Absolutely amazing!! Service was excellent.
