Si Quixote ressemble à un lieu de culte, ce n'est pas un hasard. Ce restaurant caverneux a été construit à partir d'une église mexicaine déconstruite, comme l'indiquent les bougies de Santa Maria et la chaire transformée en bar.     Beautiful ambience, professional service, a little bit loud but tolerance. The menu has been limited not too many choices!

    They have gone all in on the aesthetic. It’s a cool vibe, as others have commented, but the inability to see anything (super dark) is like a sensory deprivation experiment. The tile work on the floors, ceiling, and tables means that sound reflects off of everything, so even a small crowd sounds overpowering. The food is good, but small plates are $16-27 and they advise 3 per person. Add in drinks at $15-16 each a shared dessert and you’ll spend $200 after tip easily. It’s a place you’ll want to say you went to once, but they’ll need to work on some of the above elements to get many to return.

    I have dined here on numerous occasions and Chef Jose Cepeda is doing a great job. It is time to introduce a few new items to the menu in my opinion. Some small additions and subtractions would be good keeping the home runs of course.

    Our party of 4 chose to get 12 out of the 16 or so appetizers, and no entrees. The entrees seemed expensive, and we weren't interested in lamb or steak. The cocktails and food were all exceptional, and some of the most unique combinations of flavors we've ever had. Totally stood up to all the hype we've heard. Unfortunately, the knowledgeable, friendly server we had was so slow and unresponsive that we didn't order the 3 or 4 more drinks we would have liked to have. The Lafayette hotel seems like an adult Disneyland to me! I'll be touring out of town guests just to see what's there.

    Our waiter was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, including various ingredients. The food was really good, the drinks (Vibras and Vernita Green) were even better. We had the guac, beet salad, crab cake donut and chicken tacos. Crispy chicken taco breading and corn tortilla combo was a little much. Hostess service was slow. We were seated 20 minutes after our reservation. Ambiance and decor create a dramatic, dark, new Spanish baroque interior.

    Food was outstanding. Servers may have been overwhelmed but service was not great. We waited to be seated despite arriving on time when our table was ready (sort of - no forks, we had to cross the restaurant to get someone to bring them) and waited 10 minutes to be seated. We had 4 small plates for 3 of us, they were great and definitely enough food. The restaurant is incredibly dark - bring your iPhone because you’ll need the flashlight - and noisy. At a small table, it was difficult to/impossible to hear others at normal volume. Sorry I didn’t check my noise meter- I’m sure it was 80-90 dB. It’s expensive. A little more light and less noise would really help.

    If you have the pleasure of dining here , ask for Sean to be your waiter. End of story. He will make your night! Trust trust trust me! Amazing Mother’s Day lunch/early dinner. We will 500% be back.

    Food was great. There's so many great things on the menu to try. Can't wait to go back! It's really dark. Like you can't see how great the food is presentation is.
