Quince is an upscale casual, indoor/outdoor restaurant where all demographics and generations come together and enjoy a dining experience beyond normal expectations. People may initially visit for the terraces with exceptional views, but the food and the overall “Quince Experience” is what keeps them coming back. The "crave-worthy" and "global collective" menus & the team’s attentive and personal service are mixed with carefully-curated happy tunes which altogether create a positive-energy experience rarely found in a restaurant. First time to try Quince and based on other reviews we were excited From the first moment things did not seem great We had a reservation for a Friday at 545p and upon arrival we were asked to wait for the other hostess to seat us and the three other groups in front of had the same experience so we were thinking they were just really busy and packed But once we were escorted to our table and saw that the place was pretty empty and that our hostess said she didn’t have enough menus for the three of us we started to question how things would go the rest of the evening Our waiter was nice but had a bit of a language understanding issue and nothing about the whole experience was polished The ceviche was delicious but everything else we had for the full evening was pretty boring I had the grilled tuna kale salad and my friends both had the sea bass all of which was just plain and not very vibrant I asked for salt and pepper from another server and she did not understand what I was asking, it was all so if strange Went in on the blackberry cobbler with vanilla bean ice cream and while the ice ce cream was good the cobbler was very flavorless and not even hot This is a good place for a happy hour drink on the patio overlooking the lake but probably want to eat dinner somewhere else Maybe it was just an off night, but because there are so many other delicious, exciting and innovative restaurants in Austin we probably won’t be giving Quince another try

The location is unbeatable, with a gorgeous vibe and views of the lake. However, even though I requested a table with a view when making my reservation, we were initially seated at a random table in the middle of the patio, which did not offer the best view. It was important to me as it was a birthday dinner with my wife. Fortunately, after we asked, they gave us a better table, but they took way too long just to bring us the menus, and when our appetizers arrived, we had no dishes. The cocktails are good, but my steak was only warm, not hot as it should have been. Lastly, we checked the desserts but didn't order anything because we were so full. Nevertheless, nobody mentioned anything about the occasion, even though I had specified it was a birthday celebration on the reservation via OpenTable. It's a good place, just remember to lower your expectations a little bit.

I am not sure if they just weren't staffed correctly on Memorial Day, but everything took so long. Drinks took probably 20 min with maybe only 8-10 tables filled at the beginning of opening. Food took over 35 min. The meals were mediocre, but great menu selection. The restaurant itself is beautiful and I would go back just because of that.

Great food and vibes. Kind of loud, but really enjoyed the entire experience.

Slow service. Hot inside. Average drinks. Was told risotto was their best entree and it was not good. Waiter seller like B.O. Won’t come back.

Had a nice time at Quince. I was visiting from out of state and wanted to experience the lake view. So I recommend patio seating assuming it’s not too humid. I had red chilaquiles and they were delicious. Not spicy but flavorful. Definitely a must try.

Highly recommend, everything was great from the food, drinks, music, view even parking fees.

Our reservation was for an inside standard seating when we arrived they told us there was not any availability inside for that reservation and so we sat outside. It was very, very, very loud almost impossible to even carry on a conversation.

Bad all-around. Food isn't even close to matching its value. Service is painfully slow. 20 minutes to get our first cup of water/be greeted, 20 minutes for everything else. Not a good spot.
