The waitress was knowledgeable and friendly The food was delicious but we would have preferred an extra salad option eg caprese or Greek The piano playing and decor we’re great The doors were often left open which made it cold. I had to shut them

Great group of musicians playing in the background and at a great volume that enabled people to chat at their tables. Service was very good and no question was too difficult for them. They new their products well. The setting was lovely inside and would cater for all ages. I will definitely be returning to Queenies when I am in Canberra again.

Nice to find a place that is great for people with food intolerances. Fantastic food, wine, cocktails with amazing non-alcoholic options. All topped off with amazing service from a knowledgeable waiter.

Queenies is becoming a destination restaurant for me all the way from Newcastle, that’s how good the food, wine and ambiance is! Third visit so far and we’ll be coming back.

Absolutely lovely place with great live music. Was a little loud, though the servers were lovely and amazing. Food was delicious and reasonably priced and I loved the recommendations for how to drink their cocktails from staff ❤️. I had an amazing birthday dinner there.

Fabulous food, so nice to go out for dinner and get fabulous food and not to have to worry about being "glutened". Great ambiance, good service - definitely coming back!

Food was fantastic but most of the staff spent a lot of time talking to each other and not noticing when we were trying to attract their attention. We were seated at a single table (3 of us) even though there were plenty of bigger tables available. We had to ask to move to a bigger table as we were sharing and just couldn’t fit the dishes on the table. We also asked them to slow down the dishes coming out but they were completely unaware that we were still finishing our small plates and might not want the next course immediately. We had to send back our hot dishes as there was no room and we had not finished yet. As a result the duck breast suffered. I would recommend based on the food but not based on the service.

Greeting from first waiter didn’t go too well. Booked 2 weeks in advance and was shown a garden bench seat to sit on.. begged for a more comfortable table. Spent $600 for the night so comfort should have been key! Other than greeting from first waiter. All other wait staff was excellent. Food excellent. Ambiance excellent t

Fantastic food and vibes. Service was a little slow but staff communicated well about some things that were impacting service. We were in no hurry so still had a great night, the live jazz was awesome! We will be back!

Lovely vibe with the live jazz musicians. Delicious food which was great for sharing. Quick and attentive service. Really enjoyed the evening. Will be back.

We arrived and waited for over 10 minutes and were not acknowledged by any of the staff. We walked over to find a staff member to say we had a reservation. A girl pointed at a table and said ‘over there’. We seated ourselves and waited. After 20 minutes I had to go back over to where staff were standing and asked for menus. I was told ‘absolutely’. We then watched the waitress walk past us with menus to another larger table. On her way back past I asked her again for menus. So after 30 minutes we had menus and water. We ordered perhaps 10 minutes later. The food when it arrived was oily and lack lustre. The cocktail was pretty awful. The venue was hot, super crowded and whilst the jazz band was good, it was so loud there was very little possibility of being able to chat. We didn’t eat much and left pretty quickly. Overall I would be hard pressed to say our experience was mediocre at best. Really disappointing as we have eaten here previously and had a good experience. On this occasion it was awful and I’m certainly not thinking of returning.

Delighted to find such a lovely place to take our daughter who is celiac and pescatarian. She was so thrilled to be able for once to have a wide range of choices on the menu. The food was all delicious- we shared 3small and 3 large plates between 3 people, and the flavours combined very well. I’m not sure it would be as good with just one or two plates. Atmosphere was great and service speedy and friendly. Highly recommend for a special but not too formal dinner.

Man, I really like this place, but unfortunately it was just a bad experience all around this week. Second bad experience in a row. Couldn’t find my reservation, but seated me and my daughter anyway. Sat down at 5:45, almost missed the puck drop at 7:30. Both steaks were cold when delivered and one was not done as ordered. Only got 1 drink in the 1 hr 45 min at the table, aside from to go cup heading into the game. Really missed the mark all over. A lot to improve on, although everyone we engaged with was nice enough and seemed to be trying. I’ll go again, but hoping it is not 3 disappointments in a row. I really want to like this place, a lot.

My friend and I ate here for our last get together of the year. The venue is absolutely beautiful, being in such a historical building, and the decor is gorgeous to match. The food was superb, came promptly, and all of it is gluten free! I couldn’t believe the sheer amount of choice! The cocktails were all delicious, but they were also happy to make mocktails for me as I was driving. The live music was also superb. A great mix of classical cello pieces and jazz. Towards the end of the night they were happy to take requests too! Plus they didn’t have the volume up so loud you couldn’t still talk. The staff were also very friendly, happy to take questions and make recommendations when we weren’t sure what to get. Absolutely loved it.

Took 15 minutes to be acknowledged upon arrival 29 minutes to recieve a menu, water and cutlery Another 40 minutes for our order to be taken. So we waited for over an hour to get to this point. We were seated right next to the music... clearly this was the case for many patrons yet could barley hear each other talk. Once we recieved our food. The portion sizes were extremely disappointing (not worth the $$) Not to mention the staff we're rude, dismisive. When a fork was taken away with a plate, we requested a new fork... staff just grabbed one off a table whom had just left for the evening (spat on, coughed on) Poor waitessing if you ask me. Not very covid safe at all and very unhygienic. Best part of the entire meal was the mocktail. Couldn't tell you who our waitresses were as we had a different one attend our table each time. Came here off the recommendation from friends.... NEVER AGAIN.

Great staff, service and ambience! But highly disappointed with the food. The quantity and quality were poor for the price my group paid. $28.50 for a super small portion of what was classed as ‘large plate’. The flavour combination wasn’t palatable. I would probably go there for drinks but not the food.

Fabulousnl first visit to Queenies: will definitely be a repeat customer! As a coeliac it was so nice to go somewhere and not have to worry about how big the menu selection may be: I could eay everything!

On my visit, there was a live guitar duo playing jazz and a little bit of flamenco, which really set a lovely atmosphere. For the food, I opted for a ‘Leave it to Sam’ option, where we told the waiter how hungry we were, and he selected four share plates for us. Great food. Will be back again.
