Quarter Acre, a welcoming neighbourhood restaurant combined with an upscale dining experience, is inspired by Chef Toby Archibald’s world travels and New Zealand roots. When you enter Quarter Acre, you will be transported to a place of warmth and character. A journey from the earthy green musk of the New Zealand rainforest to the cool blue of the Pacific Ocean.

The Culinary Experience:
Enjoy food prepared using both classic and modern techniques with a strong influence placed on local and national, seasonal produce. At the same time, global ingredients will also have their place at the table, in particular items from Toby’s home country of New Zealand, such as fresh seafood and unique meats and flavours.

When dining with us, Quarter Acre accepts cash, debit, and credit card. A 3.4% convenience fee will be added to all payments made by credit card.

Fabulous place to celebrate my husband's birthday! Excellent service, amazing food, wonderful time watching the chef plate all the dishes, and top notch ambience. Definitely would recommend this place!

This is clearly one of the finest dining experiences in Dallas. A perfect restaurant for foodies. Decor was really great, too, with sensitivity to noise levels. The food is the star here. Innovative, excellent, interesting and well-presented. Cocktails and wine selection are the same. This is the kind of place you want to come back to again to try a new dish. Service was precise and well-informed. This restaurant prizes and achieves extreme competence. Where we felt there was room for more improvement was on hospitality. There were multiple missed opportunities to make us feel warm and cared for. No one of them was so significant to warrant a complaint, but in the aggregate we were left a bit cold. Examples include literally the temperature of the dining room (70 degrees), the refusal to provide more than one serving of bread, asking us to bring our own cocktails from the bar to our table, small-ish portion sizes (for Dallas), and too-swift clearing of plates and glasses that might have a bite or sip left on them to consume. It’s ok for staff to feel on edge in an effort to achieve perfection, but such agita should not be imposed on diners. That said, we had a good experience and plan to return. Hopefully to a more relaxed staff next time.

Oh, what could have been. Quarter Acre had all the makings of the best dining experience in Dallas, but it fell unacceptably short in the final stage—the main course. The service was absolutely incredible from beginning to end. Dining room is quaint, eclectic, and the ambiance is joyful. Food-wise, things started off perfectly. The beautiful glass of Cabernet Sauvignon came straight from the cellar. The bread and butter were out of this world, and our small bites (“Gnudis”) were a great palette warmup. For appetizer, we ordered the deconstructed BLT. The flavors were big and bold, though my wife found the pork jowl a bit too thick and overpowering compared to the paper-thin toast and delicacy of the other elements. Sadly, the main course is where things went downhill. My wife ordered the Sunchoke Linguine. The pasta was cooked perfectly, but the flavors were all over the map, and it was extremely rich. It was fine but certainly didn’t wow us. By far the biggest disappointment of the night was the Venison Osso Buco. I expected the braised meat to be fork-tender, moist, and imbued with flavors. It was none of those. The venison was dry, required a knife to cut, and lacked any depth of flavor—essentially resembling overcooked pot roast. What little fat was on the meat did not melt away as I expected but instead was gelatinous, chewy, and very off-putting. The sauce was sparse and hardly noticeable. I did like the farrow and rutabaga—had the meat been tender and savory, it would’ve presented a nice balance of texture and citrus flavor. Unfortunately, because the meat was dry and flavorless, it didn’t pair well. The Quarter Acre experience could’ve been perfect, but it was marred by a main course that—for the price—was unacceptable. Given its reputation, we may think about giving the restaurant another chance down the road, in hopes that it was just an off night.

Amazing, unexpected, and creative! Nothing looked or tasted like the menu descriptions, but in surprising good ways. All of it was a step ahead and tasted even better than hoped. We will be back sooner!

Quarter Acre is the best restaurant in Dallas - food is fresh, amazing, and best we’ve had. Staff are very attentive and friendly, and the chef/owner has done an amazing job creating such a warm, pleasant ambience where you can sit and enjoy delicious food. Everything is perfect - we will be regulars here !

I love Quarter Acre. Love the decor, ambiance, professional and well trained service and waitstaff. The food is exceptional and very very good. So creative. It's lively enough to be fun but quiet enough to be able to converse easily. I highly recommend.

Best meal in Dallas - maybe Texas - maybe US!!! I love this restaurant and chef. We have been about 5 times but have been traveling so haven't been there in almost a year. It just keeps getting better. Everything about this restaurant is perfect. Chef Toby Archibald is creative and VERY hands on. I can't wait to go back.

We could actually hear each other as we oooh'd and ahhhh'd over every. single. dish. Best new dining experience in Dallas in years! We booked to celebrate my bestie's birthday with our husbands and we couldn't be happier. Amazing food, perfect portions, excellent pacing. We were never rushed.

The food is definitely innovative and generally very good but some dishes had important problems in the execution. For $44, the sea bass piece served was under-seasoned and the piece itself was a poor cut. The desserts were just OK, nothing special. The coconut puree on the ceviche and the rabbit appetizer were excellent. The mark-up on the wine list is way too high.

If you enjoy food that is creative, tasteful as it is plated, then this is the place to eat at. Chef Toby Archibald’s wide range of culinary experience in multiple cuisine shines here. To recapture the first high of any experience we received from any medium, is elusive. Enter chef Toby. His menu changes as frequent as the Texas weather, a good thing. You are never sure what is on the menu week in week out, as his creative mind and palate is ever evolving. What you sure are to get, is something that will be found nowhere else as few, if any, can deliver food that is as exquisite as what is founded at Quarter Acre.

One of the best restaurants in the metroplex. We had the rabbit rillettes, the octopus and the Caesar salad to start. Rillettes were really good, Octopus was sublime, very tender. Caesar salad was really more of a house salad with vinaigrette. Entrees: braised salmon (great smoky taste) with fenil, sea bass over lentils (exceptional), prosciutto pasta (great), venison (best ever). Amazing traditionnal sourdough bread (best in Dallas)(way better than the Whole Foods equivalent or Tulla cafe's in Frisco) Great cocktails. Very nice wine list (we had a Chablis Premier Cru "Vaillons", a delicious Chardonnay from Burgundy, $120 per bottle, a good deal) Desserts were very good. Get the "Snix". Very attentive service, great bartenders. Place is not to big, not too small, conveniently located on Greenville avenue close to I-75. Valet right in front.

We were seated on time, tables are adequately spaced. Ambience was tasteful elegant. Service was incredible. The food was extremely tasty and presentation on point. Portions were wonderful for tasting for a party of four. We definitely will be going back. Parking can be tricky because of location, we loved our experience of New Zealand cuisine!

Delicious meal and great experience! Different than your traditional steak house, but still delicious cuts of meat. One of the best steaks we’ve had in Dallas. At initial glance, portions look small but were the perfect size. We left feeling full but not as if we were about to explode. Can’t wait to return!

Quarter acre is an experience! The food is creative and delicious. The Service is outstanding. However, they are able to manage all of this without being stuffy or overbearing. It is our favorite place to eat in Dallas. we can’t wait to see the spring menu.

Read a lot about the amazing salmon dish. It did not disappoint, at the same time all the other dishes that we tried were fantastic. One of the best dinner experiences in Dallas. The ceviche is a must try as well.
