    Puro has become a great go-to restaurant. The food is always great with a great restaurant vibe. We were very disappointed with the service this time around. Our waitress brought a bottle of water and seemed to have disappeared. I’m sympathetic to how difficult the restaurant business can be however she seemed to spend most of her time on her phone. We finally waved her down, gave her our order and requested a refill on our water. The food finally started coming but we needed to track her down again for our water. Getting the check was an event as well. I don’t think we were the only ones waiting around for service. Perhaps having an outside table was part of the issue and were hoping it’s not a recurring event. I’m sure we’ll be back. The food is too good!

    The grilled octopus was tender and flavorful. The lobster tacos were yummy, too. Shrimp aquachile was perfectly tasty as well.

    This was very disappointing experience. We walked in around 1 pm on a Sunday. There was only one customer sitting inside. The air inside the restaurant felt stuffy and humid. I asked if the AC was on. The server must have turned it on or up , because in about 10 minutes it got comfortable. The music was too loud. We ordered bloody Mary’s The menus didn’t list the ingredients, so we assumed it was a classic recipe. It sure wasn’t. It tasted like there was some kind of sparkling water or drink inside of it. Almost like Sprite or something. Sea-bass ceviche was not seasoned with salt. Seafood ceviche was just ok, it had some kind of creamy sauce. We decided to leave and not try anymore food. I’ve been wanting to try this restaurant for a while. Will not be coming back. I guess it makes sense that it was completely empty at the busiest time on a Sunday.

    Food is good, kind of expensive for what they serve. Also they add the 20% tip without asking for a table of 2 people

    We were seated right by the door. I was concerned that everyone coming in and out was going to literally rub shoulders with me. Fire alarm went off and none of the staff seemed concerned. No one served us or checked in with us so after 5 minutes of listening to the fire alarm we left. No one noticed.

    Walked in and the place actually smelled bad - like a dive bar. The cushions on the bench were stained, and the staff seemed completely disinterested. So we left. This place is good for a drink if you’re in college, perhaps, but it shouldn’t be listed on Open Table as a restaurant.

    Pure always gives off a great vibe. The people are friendly and the food is fantastic. It has a diverse menu that’s reasonably priced. I had an Octopus app which was grilled to perfection. The branzino is out of this world! In living in the back bay I’d say it’s my new go-to place for lunch, dinner or just a nosh with a glass of wine!

    Typically love this place- great taco Tuesday deal. However, we were a bit disappointed tonight because there was hair in our food. The waiter took the plate back and replaced it, but there was also a 20% automatic service charge on the bill which wasn’t ideal considering the situation. It also just delayed us a bit because it took time to remake the original plate. Normally have great experiences- especially at the bar, but not sure what was up today.
