We are all foodies..former restaurant professionals..we FINALLY made it for our first visit. We will be back! We came for brunch and the ONLY disappointment was thru ran out of some of their special pastries...obviously good 😉. Everything we ate..which was most of the menu..was excellent...Can't wait to come back for dinner😎

I had the halibut and it was flakey and flavorful. Very well done. Service was likewise exceptional. Waiter was engaging and appropriate. There when we needed him and away when we wanted to be involved with our party. An enjoyable evening at Puritan. I shall return

Had a high expectation—but, chicken was rather dry, calamari was average, fish was dry. Pasta was good. Pork was excellent however.

Enjoyed our meal. Oysters good. Dessert offerings could be more creative especially with the great offerings now. Will return for a week night dinner, not Saturday, too hectic. Good place for a group dinner or casual night out. Ambiance: some nice design details but essentially a casual atmosphere with a Cambridge twist.

In general the food here was quite good, with a couple of exceptions: my wife ordered a salad and the dressing was very salty. I ordered the schnitzel (they were out of the Cod) and it was slightly burnt on the bottom. I should have gotten the steak. In any case the service is first rate and the atmosphere is very comfortable. We were given free rolls and a free dessert to compensate for the missing Cod. I think schnitzel is a bad choice for a fine dining entree - even at it's best, it just isn't very good, IMHO.

Really good food, but definitely a pricy spot. I would come back though. I recommend pork belly appetizer and cod as a main - both were delicious and different. The ambiance is nice, it’s a pleasant space but tables by the wall are very close to each other, so it feels like your neighbors could easily just jump into your conversation at any point. Overall, a really good restaurant, worth trying

The pastries are delicious! The other food I had (sparkling wine, ricotta toast, and a side of eggs) were fine, but not quite enough to write home about. I’d go back mainly for the vibe — relaxed, airy, bright, easy.

We visited from out of town and met a friend for brunch. We made an error re the time change and meeting time. The staff was able to adjust our reservation and accommodate us. Supper nice and helpful.

Puritan & Co. did not live up to my expectations. I had the seafood risotto, and found it gritty, overcooked, and bland. Some of the others at our table were also underwhelmed by their food. The wine list is small, offbeat, and expensive. Service was a bright spot, with consistently quick, capable, and friendly service. I might be willing to try it again, but cannot recommend it based on this experience.

AMAZING FOOD!!! Every dish was OUTSTANDING hot hot food and plates just as we like it, I even saw Chef talking to tables and making sure they were enjoying his Food, as he stopped by our table and checked on us making sure we were enjoying our food! nice touch Chef! Hurrrraa!

Did the restaurant week tasting menu with the wine pairing. Wines came with no introduction to what we were drinking. Decent wines but an explanation would help. Appetizers were the best course and the rolls are worth ordering. The steak (for an extra charge) was brutally tough and not interesting or unique. Pork chop was decent given the accompanying sauce but was overcooked. Dessert cheesecake was somewhat flavorless although some might call it subtle. Perhaps regular menu items are better but this was a mediocre meal at a high end price with unengaged service

Food was terrific, drinks were delicious, appreciate our waiter coming up with a great idea for a second drink similar to first one that was very good! The right amount of attention, not too much, there when needed. This is a gem.

Puritan & Co. did not disappoint. The food was excellent, the place itself was not overly loud, and the service was exceptional. I will definitely return and recommend this spot to friends.

Everything we ordered was just delicious. There was a lot of plate sharing amongst the group and I could not choose a favorite. The dishes were elevated, but the fundamentals were not neglected. My biggest complaints about American Bistro in general include over seasoning, or feeling like everything is drowning in fat or salt to cover poor technique - Puritan and co surpassed my standards to a notable degree. Really enjoyable meal, will be back.

The food was quite tasty. However, service was spotty. The staff/kitchen got our order mixed up with our neighboring table but we weren’t able to correct it until we could finally flag someone down. My husband finally got his correct order but mine didn’t arrive until long after he was done. One apology from the kitchen but no acknowledgment from our server. We probably won’t be going back.

Puritan & Company is a very cute restaurant with lovely decor. The seating is comfortable and stylish and the ambiance is wonderful. The food was excellent with the 1/2 chicken moist and flavorful. It was laid on a bed of potatoes cooked in duck fat, which was marvelous, and seasonal beets, which were tasty but far too many. I would have prefered to have more potatoes! The cacio e pepe gnocchi was delicious and the cod on the lobster stew fantastic. Don't miss the Parker Rolls, they are light and fluffy and a nice complement to the rest of the dinner. Try the bone marrow toast as well, amazing flavor that goes very well with the onion jam. The brown sugar and pecan ice cream was the best thing all evening. Truly worth saving room for.

P&C continues to be the best meal I’ve ever had in MA or anywhere else. The chef’s tasting is INCREDIBLE value, it’s never the same, and I always leave having had at least one dish that blew my mind. I send my friends here, my family, visitors, or any business meeting boasting the company credit card. Chef Will Gilson is a genius, go eat there if you don’t believe me.

I used to absolutely love this place. The menu has changed dramatically. The food was under spiced with very limited options for vegetarians.

We went for the Valentine's prix fixe and had a great night. All the courses were delicious and the wine pairings worked really well. Service was great and the timing of the courses was very consistent.

Exceptionally nuanced food (scallops were dressed in a better way than just pan sautéed; risotto was complex) that was yummy, served in a nice casual atmosphere with wonderful wait staff. Got us in early, allowed choice of tables, and didn't rush us. Trifle is amazing to cap the evening. Bravo! We will be back!!!!

Ordered clam chowder, seafood risotto, kids pasta with butter, wine, and Ice cream. Everything was excellent except for the ice cream which was just ok. Would definitely come back.
