Puesto is family-owned and operated by first generation Mexican American brothers Eric, Alan and Alex Adler, alongside their cousins Isidoro and Moy Lombrozo and founding chef and partner Luisteen Gonzalez. With eight locations in California, Puesto provides an innovative and contemporary approach to authentic Mexican cuisine. Sourcing its ingredients locally and regionally, the restaurant has earned national acclaim for its Mexico City-inspired tacos made with non-GMO organic, heirloom Masienda blue corn stone-ground tortillas, crispy melted cheese and scratch salsas.

One of my favorite places in SD. Inside is super loud so we sat outside this time and it was perfect! Slightly overpriced but the food and drinks are amazing.

Our server Jacqueline aka Jackie was terrific! She knew we were celebrating my mother and father’s birthday and made sure we were taken care of. She did not rush us throughout the meal, and timed everything perfectly. Drinks and food were terrific. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars was due to the booth we were seated at. It was a four top booth in the bar and really only sat 4 ppl and we were a party of 5 adults. We had to squeeze in. It was very loud and was difficult to have a conversation. I specifically requested a table in a quiet area so we could converse as well as my father is hard of hearing. Beyond the hosts not being able to take care of our request for a quiet table, everything else was wonderful! Service, Drinks, Food all 5 stars!!!

Loved loved loved this experience! We had a wonderful beginning with Zoey up in front greeting us and sitting us. I think our server was Ricardo-maybe…. He was wonderful!!! Gave us great service for my son and I on a lovely dinner with my kid (in the navy) stationed in San Diego. Great time. Thank you for taking good care of us.

I was visiting my friend and she raved about the food here. I'll be honest when we first got there was skeptical. She had warned it was a bit pricey but the ambiance didn't match the way she had described the food/price - it felt a bit like a high scale chain restaurant. But my friend was right - the food was delicious! And the service was great. Ricardo C. was our server and he went above and beyond to make the experience worth it!

Have visited multiple times on Taco Tuesday. Never disappointed with the choices or the flavors. My favorite continues to be the standout Verdura, which is veggie, but so flavorful you would not know it. The table agreed the fish taco was one of the best we’ve had in San Diego! We finished our evening with a shared Mango Cake which was refreshing and highly recommended.

Server busy doing side work to get out of there so barely came to the table. Had to wave other servers down to get anything. Still tipped 20% regretfully.

Great time! Was busy, understandably so for a Friday evening. Service was a little slow because bar was backed up but our server Johnny did everything he could to make up for it and ensure we had a great meal!
