Pretty disappointing! Read many great reviews which is why we ended up here. Made reservations, and even though we checked in about 10 minutes early, they sat a handful of people before us, not a big deal, just odd. I think they were short staffed, because food took SUPER long to come out, so long I had to ask about it. Being that it was "voted best BBQ" (per the menu), I ordered ribs, which were very fatty and not the best tasting. Sadly the fried pickles and my Paloma was the best part of the meal. Live music showed up midway thru our meal, which was nice.

Our server was awesome. She did the best she could in a crowded and busy environment. The food just didn’t meet my expectations. When I did my research, it said this place had a 4+ star rating and everyone loved it. I did not enjoy any of the food. It just tasted like someone threw the stuff together and put a price tag of $16+ on it. If you get any advice from this review, do not get the meatloaf, we sent ours back after one bite because it was nasty.

Since we were returning to Nashville after a 7 year gap, we were looking forward to heading back to Puckett's Nashville. The last time we were there, we loved the food. This time, however, we were disappointed with mainly the food. The food came out cold. Even after our fine server replaced our meals, the food was still not at acceptable temperature. From the moment we walked in, though, there was a feel that things seemed 'off '. Maybe it's that post pandemic circumstance that is facing all businesses, maybe understaff, or ??? Regardless, it was a disappointing experience.

I was expecting more. Ribs were terrible, but we didn’t have to pay for them- meatloaf was great! Atmosphere was fun, service was just ok….

Food for dinner was horrible. Fried catfish soft and greasy. Mixed fruit cobble had 2 vey small fruit pieces covered by some bread like mix not cobbler crust. They also had an entertainer so loud in a small place we struggled to talk. Terrible experience!!!

Our first time in Nashville and I wanted good Southern food. This was right down the street from our place. The grits were AMAZING! Biscuits were delicious, all the food exceeded our expectations. The staff was super friendly too.

We made a reservation, but did not stay. We arrived a few minutes before our reservation, but the door was locked. Another group who had been waiting 30 minutes AFTER their reserved time had also been locked out. Other customers waiting in the entrance let us in, saying the waitress had just come out and locked the door for some reason. Strange. We waited a couple of minutes in line, observing many empty tables that had yet to be cleared. The host was still taking takeout orders, and there were what appeared to be bags of takeout orders waiting in the little office in the front. The restaurant was busy, but there were very few staff around. The host disappeared for a few minutes, returned and got our name, pointed to an uncleared table, saying "when it is cleared, it is yours". Then he disappeared again. The table was (mostly) cleared off, but there was no one around to seat us, so we found our own menus and seated ourselves. We waited quite a few minutes, without even a nod of acknowledgement from any wait staff. When a waiter finally appeared, we attempted to order 2 draft beers off the menu, but were told that the taps were broken. At this point, it was clear to us that this restaurant was swamped, and that our food, and the service from that point on was not likely going to get any better. We hunted down our waiter, and told them we would not be staying. It seemed like either they were short staffed, or over-booked, but either way, continuing to take orders for takeout doesn't make sense if the restaurant can't keep up with their reserving customers. This was disappointing, as we had heard such great things about Puckett's, and were excited for the entertainment planned that evening. We ate elsewhere.

Great food with live music! We came as a party of 6 with 2 kids and they have a. Ice menu for both kids and adults. Breaksaft was also very good! Best biscuit ever

Service was fast and food was great! I had the smoked meatloaf which was very tasty. My son had the chicken fried steak and left nothing behind. My husband had the southern fried chicken. The portion was half a chicken in pieces. The portions are big, so come hungry.

Food took about 45-60 min after ordering, so allow plenty of time before an event. The meatloaf was best I’ve ever had! My mom ordered fried chicken, and the white meat was a little tough. Our waitress was wonderful.

We had a great experience listening to Kaleigh Mathews play. Our server was great and the food- amazing. The temperature was a little hot and the sound mixing was a little ‘tinny’. Not sure how else to explain. But this was our second experience there and we will definitely be back! Thanks!!

Wonderful experience. Table was ready right on time. Wonderful server, Jordan was outstanding, keeping an eye on us but not hovering. Very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. The band was outstanding and food delicious. We will definitely be returning.

Waitress was attentive, collard greens were very flavorful, could have used some background ambience music, table was a crowded next to others, both cobblers were very dry and tasted almost thawed out (including the daily special)

Went at a time that was not busy at all and the service was absolutely horrible. Our waitress was missing in action, and no other staff even nodded an out direction or caught our eye when they were moving about the restaurant. the food was really good though.

Nice staff but the food was horrible! Dry salmon and none of the glaze the menu mentioned. Chicken was also over cooked and dry. Cornbread was a pancake. Sweet potatoes were nothing special. Over all bad food

Food was of excellent quality and taste. Host and wait staff were friendly and attentive. Service from the kitchen was a bit slow, however given it was a Saturday night after a hockey game I'll give them a bit of a pass on that. The value for the price is just as expected. Be aware that a live band performs at 8:30pm so the noise level goes up then - not easy to have conversations past that time.

Fantastic dinner with a friend before seeing a show at TPAC. We had cocktails and the macaroni with pulled pork dinner. Everything was delightful! Drinks with what I would consider appropriate pours. No live music so conversation was easy to hear without yelling. Our server was fantastic. Would definitely go again and again and again…

My bbq was so dry, the bottom bun was hard couldn’t use. The brownie was good 👍 to be marketed as best bbq was very disappointing 😩
