A little history… Have you ever walked into a place, and you instantly feel at home? Well, Puckett's Grocery and Restaurant is that sort of place. Founded in the 1950s, Puckett's served as a country store to several communities in Williamson County. It has always been the place to buy some food, grab a good homemade sandwich and catch up on the day's events in the world and at home. In 2004, Puckett's opened in Historic Downtown Franklin, and now in 2010, Downtown Nashville as well. Southern breakfasts with local, organic eggs, award winning burgers, plate lunches,fresh salads, cherry wood smoked BBQ pulled pork and ribs, and homemade desserts, make every meal memorable. Add live entertainment from some of Nashville's greatest artists and songwriters and you have the complete Puckett's experience! Today’s dining experience was incredibly disappointing. Despite being with a group of four, none of our meals were enjoyable; they lacked flavor, some were served cold, and the quality was noticeably subpar. We were informed that the restaurant was under new management, but unfortunately, the changes made to the menu were not for the better. The once amazing Mac and cheese was now unpleasant, and the chicken was dry and rubbery. However, our waitress Sara stood out as a bright spot in an otherwise disappointing meal. She provided excellent service and was incredibly sweet. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the manager. Despite our dissatisfaction with the food, the manager initially refused to remove the untouched portions from our bill, even though we had ordered extra based on previous positive experiences. After persistently asking twice, the manager eventually acquiesced, but failed to personally address our complaint or check in with us, resulting in poor customer service. Overall, this experience was a waste of money and left us feeling extremely disappointed. It’s unlikely that we will return to the restaurant after this disappointing visit.

Pucketts Grocery in Franklin is a very relaxing and enjoyable experience. The food was well prepared and our order was delivered to our table promptly. My wife enjoyed the salmon and I had the chicken fried steak. For dessert, we shared the cobbler of the day. It was delicious. We enjoy listening to the music of Matt Marinchick whose selection of gentle songs was a perfect close to our evening out.

Ribs were overdone. Server was very rude at times - told us there was no ice cream for the cobbler then saw tables around us with ice cream. We had to ask other servers for help multiple times since she didn’t come often enough. Cobbler was excellent, as usual. Ordered coffee and she acted like she didn’t want to bring us any. Told us she would have to make a new pot and we said ok. Then brought the coffee right out and said “oh, someone must have made it.” Entertainment was good. Liked the way he got audience participation.

The food and ambiance was really good - I really liked that live music is available however the sound seemed to be set to the very max and I wouldn’t be able to come back unless I was eating outside or at a time there is no music. I could barely hear the waitress or other people at my table.

Love the easy access to food and music. It’s a short walk from home. The service is always good and the food comfortable and tasty. It’s good for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

Very surprised at the poor quality of the food. The BBQ platter: the pulled pork was extremely dry and tough. Even smothering it in sauce did not help. The brisket was oddly presented like a slab of thick meat that was also dry. The Mac and cheese had cheese that was tasteless. The Southern Fried Steak was a poor cut of meat and was very grisly and tough. Will not return as the overall quality was so very poor.

Think we caught them at a bad time - 5 pm. Server was excellent. Food (meatloaf and sliders) was terrible - cold and dried-out. Obviously made hours earlier. We informed server who got manager involved. He comped the meal and gave us a gift certificate. We don't fault the front of house manager or the server. But kitchen manager needs to do better since this was the second time cold, old food was served to us. We did not complain the first time but two times is a problem. Maybe staff is under pressure not to toss food, considering cost. Maybe our timing of the meal was bad. Andy Marshall will need to figure it out since Puckett's has been around a long time and has a very good reputation. Maybe the next time we visit, things will be back to high standards.

We came to enjoy The Consoulers who were amazing. They played classic R&B and all took turns as the lead singer. Amazing musicians and could harmonize like very few. Sara was our server and she was the best. Great food and a perfect night at Puckett’s!

We went for New Years, the Brothers Maven was AWESOME! Our waitress was fantastic, food was good, parking was easy, crowd was fun. 10/10 will be back…I hear the breakfast is to die for!

new years eve -advised of $30 per person cover charge if staying for music-okay had average dinner with good service- had 2 bottles of wine - restuarant half full but asked twice that if we wanted to stay we would have to pay the $ 30 per person. manager sent over the waitress instead of coming over - we would have stayed and had another bottle of wine but left after being asked to leave a half-empty place- manager not on the ball

Easy to park - free garage is right there. Super Cute atmosphere, definitely recommend reservations, which were right on time. Food was service were very good - singer was a bonus!

Entertainment is always great ! Service is excellent and they do a great job managing reservations , especially for nights with cover charge for bands Unfortunately we tried several menu items ( we were there for 2 different performances) and none were very good. The meatloaf was honestly just awful and the burger had zero flavor -everything tastes pre-prepared and like it has been sitting under a warming light for hours. But the entertainment is outstanding and makes up for poor food.

Our group was 2 parents and 2 adult kids. We appreciated being able to make a reservation and enjoyed the music. The service was very friendly, and the food was fine (not special, but fine).
