Il y a plusieurs années, le propriétaire décida que son avenir dans le secteur de la restauration ne se situait pas dans la cuisine gastronomique, mais plutôt dans le style de restaurant qu'il fréquentait le plus souvent, des lieux où les plats généreux et qualitatifs sont au juste prix. Le Public House sert une cuisine excellente et copieuse, à base de produits de qualité, dans un cadre décontracté. Vous y trouverez du poisson provenant de l'établissement Foley's de Boston, des steaks de premier choix ainsi que des légumes locaux et de saison. This is our favorite restaurant in Chattanooga. The buffet was exceptional-prime rib, fried chicken, breakfast dishes, salads, homemade rolls, and great desserts. We highly recommend Public House for lunch or dinner. Great wait staff!

The service and ambiance was peaceful and had modern sheek decor. The food was delicious. I did t care for the potatoes , they were overcooked and served cold. I got French fries which were hot. The smothered chicken thighs were delicious. I will definitely return.

My wife and I went to Public House for our anniversary. The food was excellent. I had the shrimp and chorizo grits and it was amazing. The service was great, they even gave us a nice card for our anniversary and coupon for our next visit as well as a complimentary dessert. We sat on the patio and is was very pleasant, although there was a lot of road noise. It was a lovely evening and we will definitely be back again!

Wonderful experience! First time there. Celebrating our anniversary. My husband got the pot roast and I got the salmon. Everything was cooked properly. We had the banana pudding and carrot cake. Carrot cake was favorite. Service was outstanding. It was amazing to watch how the staff worked so well together.

Spending one night in Chattanooga, we were very fortunate to discover Public House. Located in historic downtown Chattanooga, the area is charming. Restaurant incorporated exposed brick in decor, which we always appreciate. Menu offers many unique options. We ordered deviled eggs (candied bacon garnish is amazing), fried pickles (with pimento cheese spread and sourdough toast), quail and grits, small plate scallops, and grilled asparagus. All were excellent. Our server, Julia, was a treasure. Peppered her with many questions about the restaurant. If she didn’t know the answer, she got answers from other staff. Attentive at just the right level. Definitely look forward to returning.

This was a business lunch and we were able to reserve the Oak Room by the Social Bar area which worked out very well. There were colleagues from Atlanta participating and they were very impressed, as well.

We make an annual stop at Public House when we visit Chattanooga. It never disappoints and sometimes even surprises. The potato chowder served as the soup of the day was the best part of this lunch. Creamy with evenly diced potato throughout the bowl. The temperature dropped to the high 50s and paired perfectly with this dish.

Food choices , steak and wedge salad, and fried chicken with cabbage were spot on. Excellent wait staff, excellent service and value. I chose outside dining. BIG MISTAKE. Buildings trap sounds that reverberate times 10 over on the patio. Motorcycles and loud rumbling rods rattled our teeth every few minutes. My advice…Stay away from the outside seating. And enjoy one of the best meals Chattanooga has to offer…indoors.

First, our server was excellent. She knew her product well and was very attentive. The food was OK. Overall, everyone at the table felt that the food needed some extra seasoning. The largest miss was the banana pudding. Everyone tried it. Everyone Hated it. Would we give this place another try? Probably so.

Beautiful night so we sat in the outdoor seating area. Nice view of Market St. table next to us was a little loud, a young group just coming from work and blowing off steam. Server came out promptly and took our drink order. Drinks delivered and appetizer ordered and then main course ordered. Appetizer came out quickly and was hot and delicious. A nice cornbread in a cast iron skillet. A fairly long wait for our food however - i got the pot roast and my wife got the small plate chicken livers. Food was hot and delicious. I ran out of the juice/gravy for my pot roast fairly quickly. I asked the waitress if I could get more and she said yes for 50 cents?! I said OK but was a bit surprised they charged extra for that. The other issue was it took nearly ten minutes to get the rather small container of gravy; it was warm fortunately as my food had cooled off. Waitress was very slow to come around and follow up with things such as the gravy, ordering additional drinks and dropping off our check and then picking it up for payment. Another 5-10 minute gap between dropping off the check and then picking it up with my credit card for payment. Other than that it was a good experience and I would come back again. Menu was great.

Service was good and food promptly served. My wife really enjoyed the meat loaf special. My fried chicken was cooked well, but lacked seasoning… the Mac & Cheese side was awesome! All in all, a good experience!!

I booked two tables for a group of 10, with a tight time window to order, get served and get to a theatre performance. We alerted our servers to the time factor and — despite a virtually full restaurant — they delivered our drinks, our meals and our checks and we were out the door in plenty of time. I thanked the servers and the hosts profusely but really appreciated their making this work!

All around fantastic lunch experience! Food and service were excellent --- started with smoked trout dip (great presentation and very tasty, served with wonderful toasts and vegies). One of us then had the half portion (very healthy size) of the carolina trout which came with two yummy sides (chose the spiced cabbage & bacon and french fries); also tried the fish of the day sandwich with very fresh and moist swordfish. The server was very helpful and attentive. This is a great spot to enjoy a beautiful meal or cocktail --- very high energy, yet elegant and cozy.

We had a delicious lunch here! I especially enjoyed the sides here because they were more original than the average lunch place. I devoured my beets with goat cheese! Our waitress was very nice and attentive as well. Highly recommend!

Absolutely incredible experience. We are in town for a family vacation from Orlando and could not have had a better meal. For starters, we got the corn bread, cheese plate and deviled eggs (delicious). Then we all got wedge salads and potato soup (drooling thinking about it). We all got different entrees to share - public house burger with the best thin fries, fried chicken (you can tell the oil is fresh- so crispy), shrimp and grits, pot roast and meat loaf- wow, just wow. Our server and the front of house hostess were awesome. Can’t say enough of how much we enjoyed it. The prices are *super fair* for the quality you get.

First time to Public House… Late lunch was really enjoyable. The portions were large, we ate as much as we could. Waiter was attentive. Try it for yourself.
